The past Ladybug hopes she sent Marinette back to the correct time and place. She can not help it if it did not work since she is new at this whole thing. It is one of her first few times using the Ladybug miraculous in her time anyway.

     Marinette feels the time portal pull her through it. She wonders what awaits her on the other side.

   In Paris, France, Adrien checks the time, sees it is almost midnight, sneaks out of the house and heads toward the area on the sidewalk where he saw the clues.

   "Adrien, where are we going?"  Plagg asks.

    "We are going to the place where Marinette says she was last in her journal," Adrien whispers.

       Adrien manages to arrive at the sidewalk outside the mall in very little time. He checks the time again, and sees his watch says it is only one minute until midnight. 

    "I am tired, so now what?" Plagg whispers. He yawns.

     "It is midnight so now I make a wish," Adrien says.

     "I wish for my friend Marinette Dupain-Cheng,"  He say, and thinks, hope this works.

          Adrien stands close by to see what happens.

            A time portal opens in Paris, France...

       "Wow, a portal opened, yes!"   Adrien says. He hopes Marinette is on the other side.

     Marinette travels back in time to the future.  She thinks, so far so good. She lands on something hard, "Ouch, what is that anyway?" She calls out.

       Adrien laughs.  "Oh, that would be my foot, here let me help you up," Adrien says.

    Marinette looks in up in  surprise, "Adrien is that you?"  She asks.

   "It sure is, glad to see you back in Paris, Marinette!" He says.

      Adrien hugs her, and says, "Alya and Nino will be surprised to see you tomorrow."

  "Why because I time-traveled?"  Marinette asks.

    "I was only gone for a week, so what is the big deal?" She asks.

    "A week, haha, very funny," Adrien says, the laughs.

"What is so funny?" She asks.

   "Marinette you were gone for more than a week.  It was more like four months," Adrien tells her.

    "I was away for four months,"  Marinette says. She looks surprised.    

   "Only a week passed since I was in China,"  Marinette remarks.

    "It is ok, try not to be upset,"  Adrien says. 

   "I am glad you are alive since the explosion took place,"  Adrien remarks.  

"What there was an explosion too, when?  Where?" She asks.

   "Fourth months ago the same day you were last seen, there was an explosion, but a villain caused it.   I hate to tell you this, but the bakery was destroyed," Adrien says in a low tone.

   "You mean my parents are dead?"  Marinette breaks down in sadness.

     "Yes, I am so sorry, Marinette,"  Adrien says.

     "I am sorry, but there is someone I must see now. S-see you tomorrow, A-Adrien,"  Marinette says.  She leaves to go see Master Fu.

      "Marinette, wait!" Adrien chases after her and is surprised when she enters Master Fu's place.

     Adrien follows her inside. 

 "It is nice to see you again, Adrien and Marinette good you are back!"  Master Fu says.    

  "Marinette, why are you crying?"  Master Fu asks.

   "I just told her about her parents, but she did not already know,"  Adrien says.

  "A-Adrien, what are you doing here?"  Marinette asks angrily.

    "After all you have Aurore  now and..." She begins. She looks furious.

    "Marinette, listen to me I never meant to hurt you,"  Adrien says sadly.

  "I will leave you two alone to talk,"  Master Fu says and leaves the room.

    Now alone with Adrien, Marinette asks, "Why did you go to the mall with her then?"

      Marinette's  Flashback...

     Marinette arrives to the food court. She expects to see Alya but instead sees Adrien and Aurore. She says, "Hi,A-Adrien!"

    Aurore yells at Marinette, "I am here with Adrien!" She holds his hand.

   Marinette runs out of the mall in tears. 

  End of  Flashback...

"Well, I accidentally bumped into Aurore in the park.  I felt bad about it so I offered to make it up to her with lunch at the mall. It was meant to be a nice gesture that is all.  Only, Aurore thought it was a date." Adrien says.

   "Look, if I  had known she liked me I never would have taken her to lunch.  When you left, I was furious with her, I gave her money for the meal, and left the mall to look for you. Only, I could not find you." Adrien says.

  "Then, there was the explosion and I thought you died.  Your body was never found, " He says and looks down.

    "I looked for you, but could not find you. Later, I overheard my father and Natalie say they knew you traveled to the past." Adrien explains.

    "I never gave up on you when others said you were dead, I insisted you were alive,"  Adrien remarks.

    "How did you even know I would come back?"  Marinette asks.

    "I came to see Master Fu, and he told me to make a wish at midnight where you last were, so I did and here you are," Adrien says.

     "Oh, wow that is so cool!  You will never guess how I got back home," Marinette says and winks at him.

      "How?" Adrien asks.

  Marinette tells him everything that happened while she was stuck in the past, etc.

   "Cool, but I hope you never go to the past again.  At least, not without me, because I missed you," Adrien says.

     Adrien kisses her hand and she blushes. 

    "Marinette, I thought when you were taken away in the time portal, I would never see you again,"  Adrien says.

     "I found your journal and saw the last entry you wrote. Now, who is he?"  Adrien says with jealousy.

    "What do you mean, A-Adrien?"  Marinette asks.

     Adrien kisses her cheek and she blushes more. 

"Marinette who is the boy who stole you from me?"  He asks. He does not realize what he just said.

Marinette laughs, "Adrien what do you mean?"

    Adrien sighs looks away from Marinette again and ask, "Who is your crush? Who is he?" 

"Why you want to know, you jealous?" She teases him a little.

  "Yes, I am, so tell me who he is so I can keep him away from you," Adrien says.

   Marinette leans in and kisses Adrien. He is taken by surprise but kisses her.

    "Marinette why did you kiss me?  It makes things harder. I should have told you before, but I was afraid.   I love you!" Adrien says.

    "I love you too, Adrien with all my heart,"  Marinette says.

   "You love me?" Adrien asks with a huge grin. He is happy.

   "Yes, I do.  I mean why else did I kiss you, silly boy." Marinette says.

     "Adrien it is getting late time for you to go home. Marinette may stay here," Master Fu says.

"See you tomorrow, darling!" Adrien says and blushes.

   "Mari, will you be my girlfriend?" Adrien asks.  

 "Yes, " Marinette answers.  
 

Adrien kisses her. "See you later, my beautiful girlfriend!" He says and goes home.
