                        Arly's pov

  I couldn't focus on the party and held onto Tiony like a lovesick teenager. It would be unfair to ask her to quit university and come and stay with me, so I had to make up my mind to go and visit her on a weekly basis. Sundays alone just wouldn't be enough, and I was angst about her leaving. My thoughts were all over the place as I began asking her if she was sure she didn't have a man returning home to, and she went away to where Serenity and Kady were standing. She stayed by herself rocking when they went to dance with their men, and I cursed myself for making my emotions overpower my senses.

  "I was just teasing you at the party, and I didn't mean to make you upset." I told her as we got ready for bed.

  We went to look for All-purpose with Natty and I gave him ten grand to put with what he had accumulated from some of the others to give to him with half bag of rice, quarter bag of flour, and a gallon bottle of cooking oil.   Mummy was watching television in my living room with Tiony and Arlem. She went over to her house with him when Daddy and André came back, and I locked my doors and went to bathe. The line went quiet for about two minutes, and then I heard two silent shots fired. "Fucking informa!" Natty exclaims and I asked.

  I texted André and him and Jevaughn came outside quietly without turning on the lights. "Daddy, a come wid di truck key." André whisper.

  I held unto his hand whilst taking the key and told him. "Me a keep di key till a morning and nuhbody go a bush tomorrow."

"Just do as I say and gwane back inside and don't come out back." I tell him in a warning voice.

  I opened the truck quietly and then went cautiously up into the backyard whistling. "Wi can start carry dem now?" Weedeye asked lowly from somewhere in the dark.

  Forty-five minutes later, I closed the truck door quietly and locked it. In my head, I rough checked the amount of zincs it was going to take to construct the back fence and buy two goats as if that's my reason for building my fence. If we hadn't built back a zinc fence, Rizzla would have just walked through my yard to go and faus on what must be paying him, and the germs would have ended up dead in my yard.   I pulled him along with me down back into the yard and pointed to our big sister's house. He went inside, and Jevaughn followed suite and I went into my house to find Tiony looking through my phone. She went into the bedroom, and I locked the door and went inside there and told her. "Guess what, this work both ways, suh just unlock your phone and hand it over."
