chapter 2: Conversation & Plans For The Summer
After the small problem had been solved, you and Miku sat opposite of each other on the sofa, the awkward silence already beginning to seep in.
You gave occasional glances to Miku, who was playing with her ponytails, possibly out of the awkwardness between both of you.
You decided to break the silence with a cough. It had worked.
"Ah! You have not introduced yourself to me yet," Miku told you.
"Ah. Right. I'm (Y/N) (L/N)," you introduced yourself.
"I see! So you are the son of my creator which he had talked about!" Miku exclaimed.
"What?" You asked, raising an eyebrow.
"(Father's Name). He was the one that made me 'alive', as what human beings would call," Miku said.
"You mean, he made your looks, your body. . . Your 'soul'?" You asked Miku.
"Yes. He was not alone though. He had help from the finest scientists across the world to help him create me," she explained.
"So you don't age? Like, at all?" You asked, curious.
"I do not know. I have not experienced 'aging' just yet," Miku replied.
"How do y-. . . Never mind," you shook the thought out of your mind, but it seemed as if Miku can pierce through your soul.
"As I had stated, I am a robot with human features. I am an android. I face the same things girls experience. I have emotions. You even knew I was on my menstruation," Miku said.
"Well, that's because mom is also in her period. She is 34, after all," you replied.
Miku nodded, before asking, "what is the date today?"
"It's the first day of summer," you simply replied to her.
"Summer. . . What is summer?" Miku asked.
'Oh my. . .' You thought.
"Summer is the season where the sun shines brighter than other days," you replied, not really knowing what to say.
"I see! What do you tend to do during summer?" Miku asked, curious of your lifestyle.
You remembered you did not do anything throughout the entire summer. You only stayed home, watch TV, eat, drink, sleep, repeat.
"I don't really do anything particular at all," you replied, nervously laughing, which made Miku childishly pout at you.
"Are you sure?" She asked, wanting to confirm.
"Yes. I am su-" a ringtone coming from your phone had cut your sentence off.
"Hold on a minute," you said, picking up your phone, and picked up the phone call.
"Jello?" A voice said from the other side. You heaved a sigh. It was your friend, Max Arukusha, a Japanese-American.
"Max? Why're you calling me?" You asked, while glancing at a curious Miku.
"Just reminding you of the plans for the summer we made with our school mates," Max replied.
"Wait, what?" You asked. You were not sure if you had planned anything for the summer, but apparently, it seems like you did.
"Yeah. Didn't you jot that down in your notepad?" Max asked.
"Excuse me a moment," you said, to both Miku and Max, and went back into your room and checked the notepad in your bag.
After a while, you found it, and checked the contents, not noticing Miku staring at you. You were shocked to discover that you HAD plans for the summer.
"You found it, didn't ya?" Max asked through the phone. You put the phone in speaker beforehand.
"Who is that?" Miku asked.
There was silence for a few seconds, before Max said, "(Y/N), who's in your house?"
"I am Miku Hatsune. Nice to hear you, sir," Miku introduced herself through the phone.
"Miku. . . Hatsune?!!! Oh dear Lord!!! (Y/N), you d-" Max's voice was cut off by you hanging up the phone call.
"Damn, Max was getting a little too noisy," you muttered. You then looked at Miku, who tilted her head.
"You wanna come with me tomorrow?" You asked. Miku's face lit up and she nodded so vigorously, you thought her entire head was about to fall off.
You then heard rumbling. You both looked at each other, and laughed nervously. You both had not eaten anything yet.
