Here is a list of 20 diverse things to do when you feel the urge to self-harm.

Draw, doodle, or paint your feelings

Journal or scribble your feelings

Do yoga or another workout

Hold an ice cube gently

Declutter or organize your room/house/bathroom/closet

Write a poem or song lyrics

Rip up paper as tiny as you can get it

Go outside and practice breathing exercises or just go outside

Watch funny YouTube videos, Disney Movie, or comedy

Squeeze a stress toy or one of those squishy toys

Have a pamper session (Take a nice bath, do a facemask, do any other mask you might have, do your nails, make yourself feel good)

Play with your pet

Count as high as you can until you feel better

Blast music

Punch a pillow or mattress

Read something

Play with play-doh, moon sand, slime

Let yourself cry have a pity party for one if needed

Snap a rubber band or hairband against your wrist

Research something you're interested in
