Park (Chapter 2)

(The picture up top is a picture that I took of my friend, Levi's, yard. Lol. AESTHETIC!)
(You could say that the picture is part of the park?? Idk?? XP)
(Also, yes. In the top left corner, that is a white horse figurine in a tree. Why? I don't fucking know, it's just there for some reason XD)

Virgil's POV

I walk out of the house with my purple hoodie up. It's raining and gloomy out- the perfect setting.

I rub my arms slightly, and keep walking to the park. When I eventually get there, I look around. Wait- how do I even know what Roman looks like? I ask myself. Whatever, I'll figure it out.

I sit under my favorite tree. It's old, and cracked at the base from some assholes kicking it. I sigh, and look around again. The park is empty, other than a family who is hanging out.

A child, playing in puddles. A mother, sitting on the bench watching him. And a father, supervising his son with a smile on his face from the side.

I stay silent, and put my head down. The mother notices me, and looks at me. I glance up, making eye contact. I quickly look away, but I can feel her eyes on me. I decide to text Roman, to let him know what I look like.

Virgil: I'm sitting under a tree, with a weird purple hoodie. My head is down, and I'm pretty sure this kids mother is staring at me

Roman: Okay!

I put my phone back in my pocket, and wait. I hear somebody call, "Virgil!" Over in my direction. I look up, and glance at the mother. She is staring at me still, looking confused.

I look to the side, and see a man running over to me. He has a smile on his face, and I realize that this is him. This is Roman. Oh, shit, he's hot! I think to myself. Damnit, gay thoughts! Not now!

I stand up, and he immediately runs over to me and wraps me in a hug. I smile softly, and hug back. After a few seconds, we let go, and sit on the wet grass. Honestly, I don't care if the grass is wet, and I don't think Roman's does either.

I can still feel the mother looking at me, and glance up. The mother, father, and child are all sitting on the bench. The mother is glancing over at Roman and I quite a lot, which makes me anxious.

Roman looks at me, and I look back at him. "You okay?" He asks, now looking slightly worried. I sigh, "better than earlier.." I murmur. He frowns, and wraps me in another hug. He rubs my back softly in small circles.

"Anyways! How about we get to know each other?" Roman suggests, after we release from the hug. I nod. "Good idea." He turns so he is facing me, and put up his white hoodie. I realize there is a pretty red rose on it. Nice aesthetic.

We start to ask each other questions.
(Roman is asking the questions)

"Favorite two colors?" "Black and purple." "Cool! Mine are red and gold."

"Favorite food?" "Pizza." "Same!"

"Hmmm.. favorite bands?" "Panic! At The Disco, Evanescence, and My Chemical Romance." "I like a bunch of Disney songs, and Melanie Martinez."

We continue to ask each other questions, giving honest answers. After about half an hour, the mother walks up to us. "Hello, boys! Are you two brothers of some sort?" She asks.

Roman shakes his head. "No. We just met today." He responds to her question. She nods. "Well, it is nice to meet you! My name is Deloris Holst. I am a teacher at Sanders Highschool?" The woman, now known as Deloris, says.

"I go to that school," I say. Roman turns to her. "So do I! Are you a new teacher?" He asks. Deloris nods. "Yes. Anyways, I need to get back to my child. I will see you two on Monday!" She walks away, slightly smiling.

I turn back to Roman. "That was weird." I chuckle. He nods. "It was, yes." Roman agrees, smiling. We continue to talk for about another hour, until I realize that my parents will be home soon.

"I have to go," I frown. Roman nods, and wraps me into a hug. "Okay. Stay safe, and don't hurt yourself, alright?" I agree, hugging back. We let go of the hug, and walk out separate ways into town.
