Chapter 12
A/n: It's been such a long time since I have watched BSD so I apologize if the other characters that will show up in this fic are slightly swerving from their original personalities.
Oops, have I just given you guys a hint?

The soft breeze caressed your cheeks, your untied tresses swaying along with the wind.
So tranquil... This was why you loved sitting on top of the ledges carrying out its role as a railing for bridges. You were a hundred feet above the abysmal waters, and with one wrong move, you'd be falling to your death.
This was assuredly the pleasantest way to spend your weekend break.
With your late-night conversation with Hoshino, both of you had agreed to go out on a Sunday, preferring to spend the date today however you two wished. And as one would expect, you were having the time of your life thinking and devising new methods to, at some point in the future, triumphantly top yourself.
The only thing obstructing you from submerging yourself in this moment was the presence that was lurking around you.
"I know that you're as tiny as an ant, but with the aura radiating from you, it's hard to overlook your presence. Come out now,
my little dog."
And so he did.
"Hah?! Who says I'm your pet?!" He had finally shown himself.
You just clicked your tongue in faux repugnance, "You never changed, huh. You're still wearing that hideous hat, Chuuya." This must've had ticked the orange-haired rascal off because even without facing him, you could already imagine his tetchy expression, "Shut it, Y/n."
"So what brings you here, you brat?"
"We've just reunited and you're already spouting shit." He had rested his body weight on the bridge's banister, eyes glued on his former co-worker rather than the view before him.
Nakahara Chuuya.
Ability: Upon the Tainted Sorrow
True Form: Corruption
"We've just reunited and you're already barking like an agitated pup," you used his own words against him. Let's see, how much more buttons would you be able to push until he explodes like the ticking time bomb he was?
"Tch. Maybe I should've used my time on other things instead of wasting it by checking up on you."
"'Checking up'. Just admit that you missed me," you didn't know if he could see you, but you had a shit-eating grin on your face.
"Yap all you want. I'm still wondering how the world is able to handle two suicidal maniacs," Chuuya grumbled.
A soft laugh escaped you. Chuuya had always acted differently around you, even from before when your ability hadn't gone haywire and transformed you into the self-destructive aficionado that you were today. You ruminated, what could your future have been had that incident never came into sight?
"This planet is lucky enough to be graced with my presence along with his." Were you being too full of yourself? Perhaps yes. But when had stating the truth ever been deemed as wrong by society's standards?
...
"You... You're now even wearing the same clothes as that lunatic."
"What's wrong with that? Living a life as Dazai isn't as bad as you think."
It wasn't... It wasn't... Yet you found yourself distressing over this every night, hoping that the universe would heed your whims and sympathize with you for once by rendering you as a normal human without any supernatural powers. But that was too good to be true, and no matter how much you poured your heart and soul into a prayer, it would be useless to try and keep your hopes up.
"Why, Chuuya? Has your feelings for me went down the drain because of me becoming like Dazai?" You wouldn't blame him, not at all. He did tell you all about it before this whole catastrophe. But, he did so when you were still you.
The uptight pessimist and lass who went by the book. The person that was no longer you.
"Do you think I'm that shallow?" Would you look at that, he somehow did take offense with your accusation.
"Nah. But don't worry 'bout that, I like you too," Chuuya spluttered.
"... As a nemesis. What naughty thoughts were you having, you little kid," you quipped, turning from your position to harass him more, but uh-oh-
You twisted your body in the wrong way, causing you to lose your balance. Now, you were free dropping to your demise, which was quite exhilarating and you would absolutely do it again if you managed to survive.
"Guess this is where our meeting ends. Bye Chuyaaaaaa!" Your voice went increasingly softer the more your distance from him grew.
"You idiot!" You knew that whenever he screamed, he sounded like a hamster squeaking anger. But for you to hear it when you were already near the body of water, it was only then that you realized that the intensity of his voice needed commendation.

Water dripped from your clothes and trickled towards the ground wherever you went. Your phone, which was opportunely a waterproof variant, rang when you sunk down the bay. Your guess was that it was prolly Haru. You answered it, but you couldn't open your mouth to speak, because granted that you were willing to open your mouth and let liquid enter through it, your body's natural instincts to survive obstructed you from proceeding.
So you half-heartedly swam 'til you reached the land, soaking wet from your previous undertaking.
You dropped the call awhile ago, but no that he was phoning you once more, you accepted it. He had asked you about helping him with something but he didn't specify what it was that he needed the assistance for.
As you headed towards the location that he had sent you, almost everyone that saw you peeped at you with bamboozled looks. Did it bother you to the point that you felt disgruntled with all the attention? Nope. It wasn't your problem that they weren't used to seeing someone that was soaked from head to toe, walking on the sidewalk like nothing was peculiar as of the moment.
You reached a place called 'Sanchome Children's Park'. Entering, you saw the forms of both Haru and Daisuke with an unfamiliar child. First of all, if Haru wanted the three of you to meet, why here? Tokyo was filled with a variety of cafes, so it made you wonder that of all places, why did he choose an atrocious setting such as this where kids lurked around.
"What's up with you inviting me to a children's park," you said as you fixed the bandages on your forearm that became loose.
"No, what's up with you being so wet?" Haru immediately stood up and fished for a handkerchief in one of his pockets, progressing to pat your hair and face dry.
"Saw your face."
It took a couple of minutes for Haru to understand what you had implied. Once he had registered your words, his face busted into a color akin to a tomato. "Y/n! There's a child here!" Haru rebuked.
"What? It's not as if he'll stay innocent forever. He's going to learn about these kinds of things sooner or later," you defended yourself with a shrug. As you saw Daisuke on the corner of your eye, watching you two with presumed boredness rather than interest, you were overcome with the need to make romantic advances to him.
Ah, the woes of having too many love interests.

A/n: Ok, I know that at the moment, things are a little confusing, but I'll shed light on y'all in the upcoming chapters.
However, I'd love to hear your theories about what happened to the MC. ヾ(≧▽≦*)o
