Chapter 5: Anas

The knife raced for my heart, with the witch smiling like a devil. But from nowhere, a yellow lightening comes and strikes the witch, sending her flying against a wall and the ceremonial knife away from me. She immediately got to her feet, looked at the direction from which the yellow bolt came, and hissed wildly at the sight of her enemy.
The spell which held me in bondage gave way for my liberty, and realising that I was in a coffin of water, I broke through it for breath, not wanting to get drowned in a coffin of water. In my front stood a man, a warrior with yellow lightening flowing around him. He wore a breastplate, two bracers, Boots, leggings and looked very muscular. Two double edged swords were strapped to his back, flowing with the electricity also. He was smiling because He was about to crash the party.
" Anas!", screamed the witch, her voice like that of a demon," You have no business here young warrior".
" I'm afraid I do Golem. I can't let you use this young Sui-dogen here for your dirty works", Anas replied with no fear.
" I said you have no business here!", she screamed as she fired a blast at him from her wand.
He dodged the attack and grinned with interest," Its that the best you can do?", he said, taunting her.
She became very angry at his mockery and immediately summoned a spell upon her, turning her into a demonic warrior called The Alven, with flaming swords and full proof armour. With great speed came the Alven, swinging its blades at Anas. Their swords clashed, sending a wave which threw me out of the coffin and onto the ground. My right elbow hit the ground first, sending a jet of pain throughout my body. I reasoned that I had to get out of this creepy cabin as fast as possible. I saw my clothes beside the overturned coffin, got to my feet, and ran to them, hoping to have my clothes back and also my life.
Anas fought the demon warrior and proved that his skills were not bad. He struck low against it and gave it a an electric kick on its face. The demon staggered back, and then charged with all its might against Anas. A heavy sword fighting emerged between them, and yet again, Anas proved himself to be more superior in this battle by destroying the Alven's weapons. The Alven was confused, not knowing what to do when it was weaponless. Deciding to have a fair fight, Anas sheathed his swords and rushed towards the Alven in his full electric form. He gives the Alven a good beating, and with a powerful blow, he forced Golem to transform back to her original form. The witch looked bruised after the fight, but still she staggered to her feet. Anas advanced to finish her off, but suddenly the witch grabbed him and held on to him tightly. She gave a metallic laugh and muttered a spell. The ceremonial knife which was lying behind me suddenly levitate and flew towards me, stabbing me at my back.
I screamed as I woke up from bed, so loud that Tom, who was having a peaceful sleep on his bed, dreaming about money and us in a palace-like mansion, jerked from his sleep and ran at full speed towards my room. He stood at the doorpost and saw me sitting on my bed, shivering as if I was really cold, breathing very hard.
" I had a bad dream Tom", I replied.
Looking at twisted his faceCmoving his hands off me," Again with these silly dreams of yours!".
" Why are you shouting? What wrong have I done?".
" Its your dreams Nina. Most times its always something bad".
" Isn't it a good thing to know whether something bad is going to happen and how to prevent it?".
" Your dreams are annoying to me Nina. While I was having a nice nap, you ruined it with your scream. It irritates me Nina. While I'm dreaming of good things to come, you spoil it by your imaginary dreams".
" It was real Tom. It was so real! Why can't you just listen to me?".
" Because I'm already fed up with this nonsense you always put up all the time".
" Oh just leave me, you ungrateful pig. You're too self-centred".
" Me? An ungrateful pig?".
" You heard me Tom. Just leave me alone to my dreams since they're a beast of burden to you".
" Oh Nina, I didn't mean to...".
Tom seized his words as I gave him the get-out look. He had always come to respect this look each time I stared at him with it. He stood up, apologized and then left.
Only Dogan would understand, I thought. He was neither mean nor ill-mannered as Tom was. I had to get back to the Relics, because I knew my questions would be answered there. Who was that man named Anas? What about that filthy witch Golem? And more importantly, why did Anas called me a Sui-dogen?
I stumbled out of bed with the questions swinging back and forth in my mind. I removed my clothes and put on a towel. I entered the bathroom and brushed my teeth, making sure to maintain the ever clean teeth I carried always. I hanged my towel on the door and turned on the shower. As water touched my body, I rubbed it with soap from my head to my toes. Looking at the mirror on the wall, I noticed a scar on my back, exactly where the knife struck me in the dream. My eyes blinked, and the scar disappeared without a single trace. I blinked again, but the scar didn't come back. I realised that my dream wasn't a dream. It actually happened.
After a few moments of silence, I resumed my bath. I covered myself with the towel and opened the door, only to see someone standing in front it.
