You stood next to Leafa who was smiling widely at the large city in front of her. The lights that covered the city lit the entire night sky as the base of the tree was also illuminated from the shining lights of the neutral territory. As you stood there, you took a look up at the large World Tree that towered over everything in sight.

Kirito: The World Tree...

Leafa: Yeah, this is Arun! The center of Alfheim, the biggest city in the world!

Kirito: We're finally here.

Yui came out from his pocket and sat on your shoulder as you took off your helmet to breathe in the air.

Yui: I've never been to a city this size.

Leafa: Me, either. The ore light looks like stardust...

P/N: This is my second time here. So I'm a bit used to it.

Suddenly, there was a loud alarm noise that sounded throughout all of Alfheim. After that, an announcement was made.

GM: The server will be down today, January 22nd, from 4:00 AM to 7:00 AM for scheduled maintenance. Players are asked to log out ten minutes in advance.

As they repeated the message to make sure everyone heard, Leafa let out a yawn as Kirito and Yui stretched their bodies.

Leafa: That's all for today, huh? Let's log out at an inn.

Kirito had a saddened expression on his face as he only nodded ad continued to stare up at the tree.

Kirito: Yeah...Well, let's find an inn. I blew all my cash, so no where too pricey. 

Leafa: That's because you were showing off by giving all your money to Sakuya. You should have saved money for an inn.

*BONK*

Kirito was holding his head once again as he glared at you for punching him.

Kirito: Why!?

P/N: You should pay me for my services, and for also blowing all your money like an idiot. Good thing I've got plenty of Yuld. I'd never stay in anywhere that has such low standard. We're going to the best inn here in Arun. Follow me.

You placed on your helmet and continued on in as Kirito followed you with Yui. Leafa went to catch up, but stopped and stared at the World Tree one last time. After that, you lead them to the best inn that was known to the entire city. As you entered, the receptionist already knew what to do, and trembled as she handed you two sets of keys.

Receptionist: P-P-P-P/N-san, s-s-s-s-so happy to see you again. M-Make yourself at home! And enjoy your stay!

P/N: Thank you. You're very generous today, how much?

Receptionist: F-F-F-F-Five hundred Y-Y-Yuld each p-person.

P/N: What was that? *grabs sword hilt*

Receptionist: ON THE HOUSE!!! AHAHA! IT'S ON THE HOUSE, P/N-SAN!!! ENJOY YOUR NIGHT!!!

P/N: Thank you! *bows and turns to them* Let's go.

They were a little dumbfounded when they saw your interaction with the inn workers. You led them to the warp elevator and took them to the two rooms that would be used.

P/N: Kirito this is your room *points to room on right* And this is mine *points to left* Now then, you'll just have to choose who you're going to bunk with Leafa. If you choose me, my door is unlocked.

You walked into your room and closed the door, leaving it unlocked. You unequipped your armor and sword and changed into just a pair of pajama pants and nothing else. As you laid down and got ready for bed, you heard the door open and the sound of someone equipping other items could be heard. The person laid next to you as your back was towards them.

P/N: See you when the servers are back up, Leafa.

Leafa: P/N...

P/N: Hmm?

Leafa: Y-You've never really said my name like that. You always call me Sylph girl or Woman.

P/N: Do you want me to keep calling you that?

Leafa: No..I like when you call me that.

You blushed and pulled up your menu.

P/N: O-Okay, see you, Leafa.

Leafa: *giggles* See you, P/N-kun.

You both logged out and you saw the room begin to fade to white, and then, nothing....

Real World, L/N Residence 

You slowly opened your eyes and found it was morning outside. You sighed before removing the amushpere from your head and laying in bed for a few minutes before getting up and changing into a new set of clothes, consisting of a white shirt, a pair of black pants, a black hoodie, and some white shoes. You walked out from your room and saw Charles cleaning up the living room along with a few other servants of yours.

Charles: Ahh, master L/N, you have woken up I see from your session. Would you like anything?

Y/N: No, I'm alright...Charles, can you do something for me? 

Charles: Of course, what is it sir?

Y/N: In private please.

You walked into the kitchen as Charles followed you. After making sure none of your other servants were nearby, you spoke up.

Y/N: You know your old friend who was working for the SAO Incident Task Force?

Charles: Yes, I do remember my old colleague. Why do you ask?

Y/N: Tell him I want some info on a specific person. I want all the details about the person and where they are now.

Charles: I'll be sure to call him in the once I'm done with my-

Y/N: Now, Charles. It's important.

Charles saw the look in your eye and saw the desperation you held. This surprised him and he quickly took out his phone and dialed the number.

Charles: What would this person's name be, Master L/N?

Y/N: Yuuki Asuna.

He nodded and heard someone pick up the phone. He spoke to the person and wrote down info on a piece of napkin. After the call, he put his phone away and handed you the napkin with an address.

Charles: She's at a good hospital over in the Tokorozawa General Hospital.

Y/N: In Saitama...that's where I was treated, wasn't I?

Charles:...Yes, sir.

You gripped the napkin and grabbed a set of keys and a helmet that was mounted on the wall. You grabbed your jacket and began to walk towards the garage.

Charles: S-Sir! Where are you going at this hour!?

You didn't listen to him and opened the garage door as you mounted your motorcycle and placed on your helmet. You reached into the side pocket of your bike and pulled out an M1911 and loaded it before putting it in the back of your shirt, stuffing it in your waist line. You revved your bike and sped out the manor and into the snowy night. As you drove to the hospital you rode next to another bike that had two people on it as well. A male and a female. What concerned you was that they kept going in the same exact direction you would go, making every single turn you did. After reaching the hospital, you parked your bike and left your helmet as you entered the hospital reception area. As you did, you hid behind a pillar and watched as two people walked in as well. What surprised you was that one of the people was the girl you met at the hospital, Sugu. You slowly followed them and watched as they entered Asuna's room.

Y/N's Thoughts: They know Asuna as well? They must be close friends.

Not wanting to intrude or seem awkward, you stayed outside until they left. After what seemed like hours, the door finally opened and the two came out. You got up and walked towards Asuna's room and tried to pass them without drawing her attention, but that proved futile when you felt a tug on your sleeve and turned to see Sugu.

Sugu: Hey, it's you. Y/N, right?

Y/N: Y-Yeah, hey Sugu. What are you doing here?

Suddenly, she adopted a sad smile but tried her best to look happy.

Sugu: I-I was just visiting a friend with my brother. Hey, big brother, come here. There's someone I want you to meet.

You watched as the person she was here with came towards you and stood next to Sugu.

???: Sugu? Who's this?

Sugu: This is Y/N, the one I told you about that I bumped into at the store. Y/N, this is my brother, Kazuto.

Kazuto: Hey, it's nice to meet you.

Y/N: Yeah, like wise.

You both shook hands and as you took a closer look at him, he began to remind you of someone.

Y/N's Thoughts: Why does his face look so familiar?...Why can't I remember? Did we meet a long time ago?

Kazuto: So, who are you here to see?

Y/N: H-Huh? Ohh, I'm here to check on my little sister. She got sick but is now recovering. Today is her final day.

Sugu: Ohh, that's wonderful! Will you tell her I said hi?

Y/N: Of course...*in head* You already said hi to her, but she's not really my little sister...

Kazuto: Well, we shouldn't keep you from her any longer. I know I'd rush pass everyone who got in my way if Sugu over here was in a hospital bed.

She blushed as he patted her back. They waved you goodbye and you went around the corner and waited for them to leave the floor they were on. After watching their elevator close, you rounded back and went into Asuna's room. You stared at her motionless body as the NerveGear rig was still attached to her head. You walked up to her and gently held her hand as you closed your eyes and leaned your head down.

Y/N's Thoughts: Ohh Asuna.....why did this have to happen to you? 

You began to remember the times you spent with her in SAO. How you taught her how to properly use her sword skills and the proper technique of switching. You also showed her how to be more social to everyone, and she looked up to you like the big brother she never had. This was of course during the time you were happy, well, as happy as you could be ever since you were trapped in SAO. She was one of the only things that mattered to you in SAO, along with a few other friends of hers that you met. You began to tear up and cry slightly as you held her hand tighter and gave her hand a kiss.

Y/N's Thoughts: We'll get you out of that game Asuna...Kirito and I will set you free so you can return to the real world...I promise. 

You patted her hand before standing up and going to leave. As you were about to though, you saw another man enter the room. He was wearing a suit and glasses, and his hair was slicked back.

???: Who are you?

Y/N: Kyle, who are you? *in head* Great fake name doofus... 

???: I'm Suguo. You aren't allowed to be in here.

Y/N: Last time I checked, I was her cousin, meaning I'm family, so I'm allowed to be here.

You were talking out of your ass due to the feeling that you couldn't trust the man in front of you. He walked to the side of her bed and leaned down towards Asuna. He grabbed a lock of her hair before smiling and taking a huge whiff of her scent.

Y/N: Don't do that! 

You were about to approach him until someone grabbed you from behind, and you saw a rather large body guard holding you and restraining your arms.

Suguo: I can do what I want to my soon-to-be wife.

Y/N: She'd never marry a creepy bastard like you!

Suguo: Well, it won't matter since it will be an arranged marriage. She'll just have no choice but to marry me since her father already approved of it. After all, I'm the one who's keeping her alive.

Y/N: I don't care who you are! You lay another finger on her! I'll break your legs!

Suguo: Really?

He began to trace his hand all over her body, and moved the blankets off her. He moved his hand up her gown as you shook in anger while the bodyguard held you. Finally, the thing that set you off was when he grabbed one of her breast and licked her cheek.

Y/N: DAMN YOU...! YOU'RE A DEAD MAN!!!!!

You stomped on the guard's foot hard as he yelled in pain. You unholstered your M1911 and put two rounds in his leg before punching him to the ground and knocking him out with a vase of flowers. You turned to Suguo and aimed your gun at him as he hopped over the bed and tried to run. You kicked a chair at him and shot his hand that reached for the door, causing him to scream in pain.

Suguo: AHHH!!!!! Y-YOU! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!!!

You got up in his face and shoved the barrel of your gun in his mouth as he was shocked and began to cry and scream.

Y/N: I'm someone you don't fuck with. Now leave her alone and never come back. Or I'll actually spill blood on my own hands.

You knocked him out with the butt of your gun and threw them out the room. You covered and tucked in Asuna before rushing out the hospital and speeding home before anything happened. When you arrived home, you tossed helmet on the rack and placed the gun on the counter top and rushed pass your maid.

Maid: M-Master L/N?! Huh?

She turned to the gun and inspected it. She gasped when she found that the gun had been recently fired and turned towards the direction you ran in with a worried look. In your room, you tossed everything you could find and broke everything you could. After blowing off some steam, you checked the time and saw that it was pass the times the servers were scheduled to be up.

Y/N's Thoughts: Maybe they're on. I have to get her out of that game and wake her up.

You laid down in your messy bed and threw on your amusphere before yelling out loud.

You logged in and sat up in the bed you were resting in. As you did though, you saw Leafa had logged in as well. She sat up and stared at the ground with a frown which worried you.

P/N: Leafa?

She turned slightly to you with her bangs in front of her eyes. You sat down and wrapped your arm over her shoulder as you pulled her closer.

P/N: What's wrong, Leafa?

Leafa finally showed her face as she had tears welling in her eyes and a sad look that broke your heart. 

Leafa: Um...Um, P/N-kun...

P/N: Leafa...

She had the saddest smile as she looked at you and her tears fell like waterfalls. She closed her eyes which shattered your heart seeing how hurt she was.

Leafa: I...I...I have a broken heart...I'm sorry, saying all this to someone I just met. It's against etiquette to bring real world problems here.

You pulled her into your chest and rubbed her back as you tried your best to comfort her.

P/N: Look who you're talking to....the biggest renegade in ALO, you think I follow etiquette? Leafa, whether here or in the real world, you can cry when it hurts. There's no damned rule that says you can't show feelings just because it's a game. I may not be the best at this, but....let out your tears...I'll hold you and never let go.

She just broke down and began to sob into your chest as you rocked her back and forth and comforted her to the best of your ability. It pained you so much to see her like this, and in her mind, it was tearing her apart with what she was going through.

Leafa's Thoughts: I'm in love with my brother. But I can't share those feelings. I have to bury them deep in my heart. So that I can forget them someday. But...for some reason...it feels wrong, but I can't help it...

She clung tighter to you as you laid down and she sobbed into your neck, closing the distance between you two as much as she could.

Leafa's Thoughts: During this time....I've also fallen in love with....with...

She screamed loudly as her final tears fell you held her tighter as some of your own tears fell from your eyes.

Leafa's Thoughts: I'm in love with P/N-kun..

After some time, she had finally calmed down, and you sat up with her still in your arms and very close to you. She used on hand to try and wipe her eyes, but you stopped her and wiped them for her. She smiled and let out a small giggle and sniffle.

Leafa: I'm okay. Thanks, P/N-kun...You're nice, you know? *cuddles closer to you*

P/N: *chuckles* You tell anyone about this, especially Kirito, I'll PK you and loot you until you have nothing left.

She laughed as you did as well. You smiled and looked at her as she had some what of a happy mood again.

P/N: You wanna log off today? I can show Kirito to the rest of the way.

Leafa: No...I've come this far. I'll go the rest of the way.

She suddenly leaped from your arms and spun around before reaching her hand towards you.

Leafa: Now, let's go. *smiles*

You snickered a bit before laughing and rolling on the bed. She was confused and tilted her head.

Leafa: What is it?

P/N: *chuckles* Leafa, take a look in the mirror. Do you really wanna go out like that?

She walked to the mirror and what she saw made her turn so red, lava couldn't compare to it. She was only in a somewhat see through night gown that covered her white and green undergarments. She screamed and covered herself before glaring at you with a blush.

Leafa: PERVERT!!!!!

With Kirito

Kirito was outside your room and when he went to knock on your door....

*SLAP* 

He winced at opened one eye as he saw Leafa exit the room with her arms crossed and a pout, and you followed after with a huge slap mark on your face.

P/N: She's insane....

Kirito: Let me guess, you did something to embarrass her?

P/N: Yep....totally worth it though.

He rolled his eyes and the three of you left the inn and began to journey towards through the lively city of Arun. Shops and restaurants were buzzing as the streets were filled with hundreds of players.

Leafa: There are tons of people here.

Kirito: I guess it really is the center of Alfheim.

P/N: You should see it when schools aren't in session IRL, like on the weekends. It's way busier here.

Leafa: I thought this was just your second time here?

P/N: I spent a week here during my first.

Yui: It seems that all the fairy races from around the continent are here.

As you walked on, Leafa saw a fairy couple who were cuddled up next to each other and blushed. She looked at you and debated on reaching out to hold your hand. After gathering the courage, she closed her eyes and held your hand, interlocking your fingers with hers. What surprised her though was that you went with it and smiled. She smiled as well and when you finished walking up a set of stairs, the World Tree came into larger view and you all basked in its greatness.

Kirito: That's the World Tree.

Leafa: Yeah. Seeing it up close, it's amazing.

She tightened her grip on your hand as you continued to hold hers much to her liking.

Kirito: Isn't there a city up there? And also...

Leafa: The Fairy King Oberon lives with the light fairies, the Alf. 

P/N: They say the first race to meet the king will become Alfs.

Kirito: You can't climb up it? 

Leafa: The area around the trunk is off-limits, so you can't climb it. And your wings flight limit would expire long before you'd make it up. 

Kirito: I heard that a bunch of people passed the limit by launching  off each other's shoulders...

Leafa: Ohh, you heard about that. They made it close to the branches. But the GM's freaked out and patched it. Now there's a wall just above the clouds.

Kirito: I see...Let's head to the trunk for now.

P/N: Agreed.

Leafa: Yeah, got it.

You all continued through Arun while walking and talking about the sights and things to see. You bought a few rare items for the two of them, and you got a necklace for Leafa which she thanked you for and clung to your arm. As you were nearing the trunk, you saw the gate to the worlds's heart.

P/N: Once you pass through that gate, you're at the world's heart, the central district of Arun.

Once you passed through the gate however, Yui shot out of Kirito's shirt pocket.

Kirito: Hey, Yui. What's wrong? 

Yui: Mommy...

All three of you were stunned, and you were wide-eyed when you heard her speak.

P/N: What was that...?

Yui: Mommy is here.

As you were about to explain however, you heard the sound of wings and saw Kirito summoned his wings and crouched to the ground while putting Yui in his pocket.

P/N: Hey, Kirito! Wait!

He didn't listen and blasted toward the sky.

P/N: Dammit! Wait! Kirito! *turns to Leafa and helmet summons on your head* Hold on!

You swept her off her feet as she yelped. You summoned your wings and charged yourself as you blasted straight towards the sky at unimaginable speeds. You were gaining on Kirito, but you stared at the top of the World Tree with worry.

P/N's Thoughts: Finally, we've found you, Asuna. Just hold on! We're coming!
