With an endless slide of tears staining his freckled cheeks, Felix flung his phone to the other side of his bedroom, gripping the edge of his blanket and roughly pulling the cloth over his head.

Coughs and hiccups left his throat in the company of deep sobs, eyes closed shut and nostrils flared with the strained breaths that forced themselves in and out of his lungs in between the thickening mucus. "I didn't do anything! I didn't do any fucking thing..."

His chest ached as pieces of his shattered heart scattered and felt like cuts all around the inside of the fleshy space, and his poor conscience couldn't help but search his mind restlessly for someone to blame for such demise other than himself— someone to take up all the guilt for his heartbreak so that his insecurities would not be the ones to deepen- so that he'd still have a reason to at least plead his case, and emphasize the fact that he did nothing wrong.

"I can't even go to school- I can't take that stress today," he muffled against his pillow before peeking his face out of the thick blanket, more tears finding their way down those flushed cheeks as a reflexive breath of fresh air that his slumped, degenerated state would not willingly accept if it weren't for his overprotective brain somewhat cooled his insides. "I'll tell mom I drank too much or something..."
