- Chapter Forty-Seven -
"I have some Moo Shu to eat."

"IT'S NOT TOO SMALL...IT'S DEFINITELY UGLY."

Vanya was absolutely correct, the walls of their Hotel Oblivion room were three quarters dark green with a palm leave pattern and one quarter a salmon pink colour. It had quite a high ceiling but a floor that was just as ugly, the same colour scheme as the walls but with a diamond pattern spread around evenly. Windows with pink drawn curtains filtered endless light into the room that the lamps scattered around didn't even need to be turned on.

The comfy furniture such as the sofas and the beds were the same salmon pink colour as the top of the walls, the sofa was sat in front of a fireplace that had a mirror hung above it and there were three beds spready among one side of the room. Two beds beside each wall and then another one in the middle, a bit further back in the alcove with two bedside tables beside it. Despite the ugly decoration, Primrose couldn't wait to jump on the crisp hotel bedsheets.

After Diego's crude comment that Prim tried not to get bothered by, although she had flushed a deep red at the insinuation, Allison had punched him on the shoulder and confirmed that the rooms would be split boys and girls. 3 in one and 4 in the other, which Primrose much preferred to the possibility of her and Diego in a singular room. Whom she had not forgiven completely.

Allison, Vanya and Primrose all had the same idea to make their way towards the beds and collapse on top of them. Allison on the right, her sister on the left and Primrose on the bed in the middle. A sigh of comfort escaped Prim's lips as she let herself sink into the covers of the bed.

"Last night, I was sleeping in my own bed next to my amazing husband." Allison spoke softly and sadly, staring up at the high ceiling above them, her hair draping over the side of the bed as well as her little black cape she had put on.

"I kissed Sissy goodbye a few hours ago." Vanya added, a mournful sigh on her lips whilst Primrose rubbed her stomach wound slowly and carefully. She ran her fingertips lightly over the ripped and stained fabrics, wrinkling her nose. "Give or take 50 years."

"I have a hole in my stomach." Primrose stated.

"I'm glad you finally found someone that treated you right, Vanya." Allison turned her head to look at her sibling lay on the bed symmetrical to it. Then she tilted her head up to stare at Primrose who was still massaging the knife wound. "And I'm glad that you're not running back to our brother at the sight of his smile."

"I'm not that forgiving." Prim smiled a little, and then let it slowly drop as she zoned out a little and mumbled another small sentence. "His smile is cute though."

"Prim-"

"Sissy saw me for who I really am." Vanya interrupted Allison's scolding of Primrose, who had widened her eyes and held her hands up in defence of her actions. Allison only narrowed her eyes at Primrose before turning back to Vanya. "I'm not ready to give that up."

"I feel the same about Ray." Allison sighed and shook her head, Primrose pouted at the thought of Raymond. He was a friend and she missed him greatly so she couldn't imagine what Allison was going through because he was her husband. "We better not have left them just to die in some superhero turf war."

"You need to go home." Vanya told Allison, turning her head to face her sister on the other side of the room. Primrose slowly sat up against her headboard, having a full view of the sisters now and watching their interaction. "Hug your daughter."

Allison hesitated for a second and Primrose saw her open her mouth, close it again, sigh and then sit up to swing her legs around so she was sat on the edge of her bed and her feet brushed the floor below her. "What if Diego's right and the Sparrows attack?"

"We fought of the entire commission." Vanya told her plainly and Primrose would've piped in and agreed if it wasn't for the wound and hole in her stomach. "I mean, we can handle, what? Seven jerks in uniform? They just caught us off guard."

"Seven hot jerks in uniforms." Primrose corrected her, turning the others to silence as they twisted around to stare at the woman sat upright on the bed who shrugged. "It's the truth. Except the cube, he's not hot, so like six hot people in uniform and a cube that no one can understand."

"Yeah." Allison agreed dismissively, looking down at the floor and pursing her lips.

Primrose frowned and looked at Vanya who had the same look on her face as Prim did. At this exchange of glances, Vanya twisted herself around on the bed and sat on the edge just like Allison was but Prim stayed like she was, just looking in between the two.

"You should go to the airport." Vanya suggested at the sight of Allison's gloomy look whilst she still continued to stare down at the floor but eventually looked up at Vanya's advice. "And get back to your real life. I would if I could."

Primrose frowned and stood from her bed, walking into the middle of the room with a slight limp to her gait because of her injury but she kept her arms spread open wide stretched to each woman on either side of her. Allison stood first, wrapping her arms carefully around Prim's waist as Primrose lowered her right arm to hug Allison to her.

Together, they shuffled closer to Vanya's bed and she joined the hug too, her arms around Allison's and Primrose lowered her left arm too. She hugged Allison and Vanya close to her, her right arm lifting slightly higher to reach Allison's shoulders and her other arm lower to reach Vanya. They were one of each height which made the hug a bit difficult, but they all fit in the right places.

"Thank you." Allison mumbled, squeezing the two people she was hugging only slightly and Prim tried not to wince at the stinging pain in her stomach. "You're good sisters."

"Aw." Prim smiled, squeezing the shoulders of them in her sides, chuckling a little but hoping that Vanya wouldn't be too sad that Primrose had been included in the sisterly subject. It turned out that Vanya didn't seem to mind as she squeezed the girls tighter too. "Ow, my stomach."

Both of them backed out of the hug, muttering apologies before Allison gave them one last smile and then left the room. Primrose sighed and stretched her arms out, wincing again at the stretch in her stomach whilst Vanya returned to lying down on the bed she had claimed. Prim walked over to the wardrobe and opened it slowly, expecting to see another and just in search of another pillow case.

"Oh my God." She gasped at the sight of the wardrobe filled with clothes, reaching for the clothes and running her fingers over the material with a smile. "I love this hotel. You don't mind if I get changed and take care of this wound, do you?"

"No." Vanya mumbled and Prim hummed in gratitude, pulling some hangers out of the wardrobe and looking over the outfit she had randomly picked out of the wardrobe.

It was a pair of pink jeans and Primrose was blown away by the beauty, feeling the soft denim under her fingers and excited to get into the outfit. She had been living in the sixties for two years and therefore hadn't worn anything like this in ages. The thought of it made an excitement shoot through her veins and she squealed a little at the sight. The other hanger held a white top.

She retreated to a small alcove so she was as out of sight from Vanya as she could be, still wanting her own privacy. Removing her dress, she slipped the jeans on as quickly as she could so at least half of her was hidden. Her top half needed to be exposed so she could deal with her injury, so she walked back into the room and searched all the drawers.

Each draw had something random inside of it, until she got to the draw in her bedside table which held a first-aid kit and a bottle of water. Primrose took both and went and sat down on the sofa, getting out the anti-sceptic wipes to wipe her wound down. Vanya all of a sudden bolted up from the bed and left the room in a rush, leaving a very confused and topless Primrose.

"Bye." The woman said by herself after the door had closed and looked back down at the cut, widening her eyes and wiping herself down again, grimacing at the burning alcohol that went into the injury.

The door swung open again and Primrose looked up, expecting to see Vanya back like maybe she had forgotten something but instead Diego stood there and closed the door carefully. Prim jumped up in shock and tried to find something to cover her chest but there was nothing around, not even a blanket so instead she walked up to one of the windows and covered herself with a curtain.

"Sorry, sugar." He apologised, wincing as he looked around and then picked up the white shirt that she had left draped on the chest of drawers. Prim rolled her eyes, holding her hand out for the shirt.

"Ever heard of knocking, Diego?" She raised an eyebrow and he shrugged sheepishly, obviously sorry for the intrusion before he threw the shirt towards her open hand. It missed, of course, and Prim stared at him unimpressed. "Isn't your power literally directing things?"

"My bad, I'll get it."

"No. It's fine, I got it."

Diego walked across the room, reaching down to pick up the shirt as Primrose walked forward a bit more whilst still covering her chest to reach it at the same time. Unfortunately, the two bumped heads and Primrose stumbled back with a groan of pain, tripping on the curtain she was wrapped in and falling.

The man in the room with her attempted to grab her before she fell, but he wasn't able to grab her weight since she was already falling. He only fell with her, yelling out and hearing the rip of the curtain as it came down with Primrose...and Diego, who was lay on top of his topless ex-girlfriend wrapped in a curtain.

"Oh my God." Primrose panicked, going a deep colour of red and trying to roll out from under Diego who tried to warn her against it but she did not listen and the curtain just tangled them up even more. "Diego!"

"I'm sorry!"

"Stop laughing."

"I'm not- I'm not laughing. Here, hang on." Diego finished on a chuckle in reply to Primrose's groan as he fished a knife out of his belt buckle and sliced open the curtain, letting the two of them free from the material jail they had been stuck in.

Prim was the first of them to scramble out, snatching the white shirt from the floor and tugging it over her head, leaving her cut to be sorted out once Diego had left her alone to her own embarrassment. He pushed himself up slowly, looking at the woman in front of him with a small smile and those beautiful doe eyes that she loved.

"Wh-What do you want?" She asked, breathing out and shaking her head, running a hand through her red hair and hoping that her blush would lower significantly.

"There's uh- uh Chinese downstairs. I know you like Moo Shu so..." He trailed off, putting his thumb over his shoulder and gesturing towards the door. Prim straightened up slightly and nod her head stiffly. "So do you wanna..."

"Yep." Prim said and walked past him, opening the door and exiting her room.

"Yep." Diego followed her, shutting the door behind him and having to run to keep up with her fast-paced walking that she had settled on. She looked amazing in those baggy pink jeans but after seeing her in her bra, Diego didn't think she wanted him to comment on her looks. "How are you doing?"

"Is that an actual question?" Prim asked as they continued to walk, into the elevator and pressing the ground floor button. Diego stood by her side and was afraid to answer her question because she was clearly pissed off, Primrose began to smash the close door button.

"Yes?" He said unsurely and closed his eyes in regret as the woman slammed her hand on the button that stopped the elevator.

"Let me recap you." She took her place in front of him instead of next to him, looking up at his dark brown eyes and he smiled lightly at her face but tried not look like he was laughing. "You were separated from me for three months, in those three months you managed to sleep with someone else despite saying you love me when I waited two years for you. Then when you knew I found out, you tried to defend your own actions and now you've just forgotten about everything that happened. Let me remind you, you still haven't apologised to me. You still haven't told me how you really feel after all of the discourse and you still haven't admitted to being the cause of this-"

She pointed at her wound and Diego looked down at it, frowning because he knew that she was correct. Lila wouldn't have been as angry as she was if he hadn't messed with her whilst still with Primrose and then left Lila for Primrose without having a civil conversation with either woman.

"So, Diego, to answer your question I'm actually not doing pretty good. I'm doing terrible because my boyfriend hasn't asked to have a real conversation with me about what he did and yes, still hasn't apologised." Prim said, not getting sad but rather getting angrier by the second. Diego wanted to take hold of the wrist she was pointing at him with and pull her into a hug but he decided against it. "And I know we're in the middle of a war right now but a simple sorry would've been nice."

"I'm so-"

"No." She shook her head slowly, staring up at him and he shut his mouth as fast as he had opened it. "Not now. Not while I feel like you don't mean it and you're just doing it for your own sake. I want a heartfelt apology that tells me you still love me and if you don't, then at least shows me that you care for me. Now, I have some Moo Shu to eat."

Prim pressed the stop button that put the elevator back into motion, silence lingering between the two of them after the one-sided conversation they had just had. Diego stood and thought of all the ways he could make it up to her, of course he had the Sparrows to think about but she was also a priority. Of course he still loved her, he loved her more than anything.

But he just didn't know how to show it. What grand gesture would he have to make to her to make him seem worthy of her love when he had so easily broken her heart in the course of three months? The thought of never seeing Primrose again had consumed him when he met Lila, the sadness of it, the anguish of it. Then he made the worst mistake of his life.

The elevator door opened and Primrose marched out, making her way towards the table where Klaus and Luther had boxes of Chinese food before them. She slipped into one of the seats and grabbed a pot with anger, digging in and Diego still stood in the elevator, smiling at how much she enjoyed that Moo Shu but then frowning at how much he had fucked up.
