- Chapter Five -
"Guys! Violence isn't the answer!"

After Number Fives very dramatic entrance, the Hargreeves family decided that it would be best to wait at least another hour until the actual memorial service that they were having.

Rain was crashing down onto the ground as the siblings, their mother, Pogo and Primrose came out into the courtyard, where the missing little brother had fallen face first into. Everybody held an umbrella except for Diego who decided to be all edgy and just let the water drench him from head to toe.

"You need to stay dry." Primrose argued as they exited the house, she wasn't really a fan of the black umbrella she held in her hand but at least she wasn't getting wet. She had been telling the man in black to use one but he refused time and time again.

"No, I don't." He told her, standing next to his mother. She was a beautiful young woman who had lovely blonde hair and a black dress, as well as perfectly applied makeup, Klaus had told Prim that she was a robot but that didn't excuse her dashing facial features.

"Did something happen?" Grace asked as the siblings, plus Primrose stood around Luther who held the earn in his hands and was stood in front of all of them in the cold wet leaves that stuck to the bottom of your shoes.

"Dad died, remember?" Allison reminded her, furrowing her eyebrows at the woman who had raised her. Prim also looked confused but was also worried as she pulled one of Diego's black coats tighter around her. She hadn't brought anything black so the man had offered her a jacket which she gladly accepted.

"Yes, yes. Of course." Their mother frowned, looking down at the ground with pained eyes.

"Is mom okay?" The movie star asked, looking at the robot carefully, it confused her to see her like this as in their childhood, it was often easy to forgot that she was an Android.

"Yeah, yeah she's fine, she just needs to rest, y'know, recharge." Diego explained, looking at his mother, then looking down at Primrose as he felt something shelter him. She had held her arm up slightly so that the umbrella covered the both of them, not wanting him to catch a cold.

"You're moms beautiful." Prim whispered to him, seeing how much she meant to him. He nodded and smiled at the Android before dropping it back into a straight face as he glanced down at the strawberry-blonde. "It's adorable how much you love her." She hummed and turned to Luther who was waiting everybody to settle down.

"Whenever you're ready dear boy." Pogo stood next to Vanya, looking up at the big man who held the earn filled with his fathers ashes.

Luther nodded and took the lid off of the jar, slowly tilting it up as the rest of the adults watched the ash fall pathetically onto the ground. Primrose frowned at the awkward silence that passed around everybody until he spoke.

"Probably would've been better with some wind."

"Does anyone wish to speak?" Pogo looked around at all of the siblings and their mother, hoping that somebody would step forward even though he knew that was very unlikely considering the way they were treated.

Just as expected, everybody stayed silent. Klaus took a puff of his cigarette but that was the only noise made apart from the small pattering of the rain on the ground. Diego sighed heavily and took the umbrella from the woman below him and held it himself, seeing that her arms were aching from trying to hold it above him. She muttered a small 'thank you' and stayed under the protection of the umbrella, not wanting to get wet.

"Very well." The ape nodded and began to speak on his own behalf. "In all regards, Sir Reginald made me what I am today. For that alone, I shall forever be in his debt. He was my master...my friend, and I shall miss him very much." A tear rolled down Luther's cheek, he was the only one showing any emotion, except from Prim who wore a deep frown but she didn't really know the guy. "He leaves behind a complicated legacy-"

"He was a monster."

Klaus laughed at Diego's comment, it was a sort of sick laugh where he agreed that their parent had treated them like absolute filth.

"He was a bad person and a worse father." The man in black continued, staring off into the air with a blank expression. Primrose patted his back softly in an attempt to soothe him or at least calm him down in case he says something he might regret. "The world is better off without him."

"Diego." Allison scolded, looking at her brother.

"My name is number two." He looked towards her. "You know why? Because our father couldn't be bothered to give us actual names, he had mom do it."

"Would anyone like something to eat?" Their mother asked, a smile on her face as she tried to diffuse the tension and do what she was created to do.

"No, mom. It's okay." Vanya told her, smiling softly as the blonde Android muttered a small 'ok' and said nothing more.

"Look, you wanna pay your respects?" Diego stepped away from Prim's hand, walking out of the semi-circle they had formed and stood facing his siblings and the woman he had become friends with in less than a day. "Go ahead, but at least be honest about the kind of man he was."

"You should stop talking now." Luther told his brother. Diego handed his umbrella to Prim for her to hold whilst he tried to intimidate his brother. Klaus pulled her back, knowing thing were most likely going to get ugly between the two men.

"You know, you of all people should be on my side here, number one." He pointed at the big man.

"I am warning you."

"After everything he did to you?" He continued to feed on his brothers anger, ruling him up even more. Five, Klaus and Primrose stood looking in between the two as they argued back and forth. "He had to ship you a million miles away."

"Diego, stop talking."

"That's how much he couldn't stand the sight of you!" After the last comment, the two brothers broke out into a fight. Luther swung at Diego but thanks to the man on black leaning backwards, he punched the air instead.

"Boys, stop this at once!" Pogo demanded whilst Vanya pulled her mother back, not wanting her to get hurt, Allison looked thoroughly bemused by the violence.

Klaus tried to protect Five but got his hand swatted away, so he resorted to protecting Prim instead, even though he knew she could protect herself.

"Guys! Violence isn't the answer, why don't you just talk it out and settle your differences! Agree to disagree, y'know?" Primrose called out to them from behind Klaus, but she knew that they wouldn't stop yet, the family was way too stubborn for their own good.

"Shut up." Luther growled, whilst trying to punch his brother again.

"Come on, big boy!" Diego encouraged, motioning for the man to come closer and try to hurt him again. Going to hit him, Luther got caught by his arm and Diego punched his big back repeatedly.

"Stop it!" Vanya yelled at them, not wanting to see her family fight.

"Hit him! Hit him!" Klaus chanted, his cigarette between his lips as smoke emitted from the end. Prim smacked his arm because of his encouragement and continued to plead for the boys to stop.

Pogo decided that he had enough and scoffed whilst walking back into the house and away from the chaos that was in the courtyard. Luther flipped Diego onto the ground, making the strawberry-blonde wince as they continued to throw punches and kicks.

"Get off me." Diego grunted as he was being held up by Luther, after a couple of more hits, they separated and were panting heavily on separate sides of the yard.

"We don't have time for this." Five sighed in annoyance whilst walking inside, waving at Primrose who waved back with a smile on her face. That's four Hargreeves siblings on her good side, three to go.

Diego yelled for Luther to come at him again, in doing so he managed to punch  Ben's statue and smash it on the ground, causing the head to fall off.

"Ben." Prim gasped, knowing that the ghost was probably near them somewhere. She held her hand over her mouth as she stared at the empty stone pedestal where the statue once stood.

"And there goes Ben's statue." Allison stated, deciding to also go back into the house whilst Klaus let out a disappointed noise.

Diego pulled out one of his many silver knives from his belt and held it up, a smirk planted on his face.

"Diego no!" Vanya yelled at the same time Prim yelled. "Diego."

He didn't listen to either of them and threw the knife towards his brother, letting it swipe across his big jacket, tearing a hole through the sleeve. Luther let out a grunt and clamped his hand to the cut, breathing heavily as the fight paused.

He pushed his way inside, wanting to her away from the stares of the other adults in the house. Primrose pursed her lips as she decided to make sure Diego was okay, doubting that Luther would want to talk to anyone, let alone her. Vanya also made her way over to her brother before the strawberry-blonde.

"You never know when to stop, do you?" She scolded. The man stood staring at the floor whilst a beat of total silence passed.

"Got enough material for your sequel yet?" Diego asked her, making her scoff. Primrose had read Vanyas book 'Extra-ordinary: my life as number 7' it told the story of how the siblings would go out on missions when she was forced to stay home, each chapter was about a different sibling and her relationship with them. Prim was glad to say that nothing particularly horrible was said about Klaus or Ben.

"He was my father too." She muttered and walked away, leaving Klaus, Diego and the strawberry-blonde in the courtyard together.

"You okay?" She approached him, moving his head and checking for injuries. When she saw no bruises or cuts, she retraced her hands from his face and stared at him, waiting for his answer.

"I'm okay." He gave her a very very small smile, but it was there and walked over to his mother, bringing her back inside the house. Prim looked over at Klaus and saw him crouching down over his fathers ashes.

"I bet you're loving this, hmm?" He said to the pile as the woman stood behind him. "The team at its best, it's just like old times." He took one more puff of his cigarette and stubbed it out on the ash, laughing quietly.

Smiling at Prim, he stood up and wrapped an arm around her shoulders, bringing her inside. "Best funeral ever!" He exclaimed, receiving a smack on the chest as they both shook their umbrella off and placed them in the rack, brushing themselves free of the rain droplets.

"I'm gonna go and give this back to Diego." She told her friend and shook of the jacket, walking up the stairs as her footsteps echoed around the walls of the house.

Diego pulled the door open to see Primrose stood with his black jacket in her hands. She gave him a smile and handed it to him, he took it and threw it back onto his childhood bed.

"So, uh, knifes huh?" She tried to make conversation as they stood on separate sides of the door.

"Yeah." He nodded, holding up one of his signature knifes, clicking his tongue as he played with it in his hands, almost like he was debating something. "Forcefields?"

His knife flew at her face but was stopped by a purple glow coming from her hand as she stared at the metal weapon in shock. "Yeah." She shakily replied, chuckling nervously and lowering the knife to the floor.

"Cool." He smirked lightly and sat on his bed, pulling the gloves off of his hand and wincing at the bruises on his knuckles.

"Are you sure you're ok?" She asked, stepping into the room and taking a seat next to him. He watched as she cupped his hands with hers and her fingertips turned purple. After she took her hands away, he stared wide-eyed at his knuckles that were no longer bruised. First of all he was quite weirded out that she was holding his hands but after seeing what happened, he was grateful.

"Cool." He breathed, looking at his hands and then at Primrose, then back at his hands, then back at Primrose.

"Well, I should get going, I still have work to do."

"In your flower shop?" He tried not to laugh.

"What's so funny about my flower shop?" She raised her eyebrows, letting her eyes grow purple, her powers only limited to forcefields and a tiny bit of healing but he didn't need to know that.

It must've worked as he stopped laughing immediately and stood up straight. "Nothing. Nothing...so, let's go." He practically ran out of the room, past her and down the stairs, letting her follow.
