jimin watched as yoongi trudged into the kitchen, hair messy and eyes barely open. chuckling to himself, he patted the empty seat next to him, gesturing for yoongi to sit. and the latter did, plopping down on the seat, before giving jimin a brief kiss on the side of his head. the younger couldn't help but blush, coughing slightly and focusing back on his food.
as yoongi looked around the table for some food, he disregarded jinyoung's intense stare hurled towards him. this didn't go unnoticed-- the three of them were the only ones seated at the table, after all. mr. park was watching over yejin at the living room, who was happily watching her cartoons. taehyung was still upstairs, presumably sleeping, and mrs. park was near the kitchen sink, organizing some things in the kitchen cupboards.
although it may not seem like it, jimin and yoongi had deliberately planned this. they concidentally woke up at the same time earlier that morning (jimin falling off the bed in surprise, due to yoongi's face inches away from his own) and somehow, they're "good morning"s lead to a conversation regarding, "jinyoung is being a curious little shit, what do?" so, in hopes of making the situation change at least a little bit, they'd decided on jimin going downstairs first, followed by yoongi, who engages the couple to do couple-y things, such as just now's example-- morning kisses.
simple, right? but it doesn't stop there. they'd also made up a whole conversation.
"ah," yoongi muttered, as he grabbed a fork and placed a pancake on his previously empty plate. "i'm tired." he then yawned.
jimin chewed on his food, soon swallowing. "i wonder why."
yoongi hummed. "maybe if you didn't stay up last night clinging onto me as if i were your life line, i could have gotten more sleep."
but of course, only the two of them knew that these were lies. jinyoung cocked an eyebrow at the two. however, the couple paid no attention towards the raven haired boy's reactions. after all, this was their pure intention.
"sorry, babe," jimin cooed, and yoongi suddenly wanted to spit out the pancake slice in his mouth, due to the sudden nickname.
this piece of shit. this isn't apart of the plan.
"it's fine." yoongi tried not to stutter, his words ending up being said monosyllabically. "you were cute, anyway."
and the awkward two sided conversation magically ended there, the room being filled with nothing but sounds of mrs. park washing some pans and the clashing of the boys' utensils against their plates.
jinyoung sighed.
the couple directed their gaze towards him.
feeling the presence of their stares, jinyoung looked up at them, a skeptical look spread across his face.
"you guys make such a weird couple."
the said couple blinked at that.
jimin laughed nervously at that, tugging at his sweater's collar. "oh? why do you say that, hyung?" he grinned.
jinyoung shrugged dismissively. "nothing. i just thought," he looked at yoongi, "you weren't too into skinship." he then turned to jimin, "never knew you were into sloppy nicknames. that never happened with the other dude."
jimin waved his hands aimlessly. "i guess i've changed over the year."
"i guess you have." jinyoung said in a monotone voice, making the couple unsure whether or not he bought their small stunt.
all tension at the table was waved away when taehyung sleepily walked into the kitchen, mrs. park scolding him for sleeping in too much, followed by yejin enthusiastically running into the room, shouting, "fancakes" with mr. park walking behind her, smiling at his daughter's infectious grin.

not so surprisingly, yoongi found himself relaxing on the living room sofa after breakfast, waiting for jimin to finish helping mrs. park with the dishes.
mr. park had excused himself to go upstairs, jinyoung was up in his room, leaving taehyung, yoongi and yejin at the living room.
yoongi looked to his side when he felt the sofa's weight shift. taehyung was smiling at his phone, typing mindlessly.
"jeongguk?" yoongi inquired all of a sudden, making taehyung turn to him with a smile.
"yep!"
"oh, well, that's cute."
taehyung hummed, closing his phone and leaning in closer to yoongi. "hey, hyung," he whispered, making yoongi raise a brow at him. "have you guys... done it yet?"
yoongi blinked. then laughed. "taehyung, no," he said in between his small laughter, "be quiet. think of the child." he pointed towards yejin, who was still focused on her toys.
"just saying," taehyung smirked, "just felt like you guys have already done it, is all."
yoongi shrugged. "how about you and jeongguk?"
taehyung's face lit up at that. "oooh, hyung. look who's curious now." yoongi shrugged playfully at that. "eh, no, we haven't. does over the phone count? long distance sucks. if you'll return here for the holidays next year, d'you mind bringing jeongguk?"
yoongi chuckled. "no promises. but i personally think bringing you two together would be a bad idea. especially because there are other people in this house, you know?"
taehyung was about to open his mouth in protest, but a short ringtone from his pocket interrupted him. a grin spread on his lips, "it's kookie!" he told yoongi happily, getting up and walking towards the front door, opening it and walking out into the porch.
as yoongi watched the door close, he felt a tug at his sweatpants.
looking down, it was yejin, staring up at him with a curious look. yoongi almost died at the sight, her eyes sparkling against the living room light, her mouth curved up into a wondering smile. what a cute girl.
yoongi leaned forward, grabbing her and gently letting her sit down next to him. she giggled, still looking at yoongi.
"yes?" yoongi asked sweetly.
"mister," yejin began, standing up on the sofa, throwing her teddy bear to the side, before reaching for yoongi's hair. "can you be my boyfriend? you have really nice heh."
"heh?" yoongi smiled. "you mean hair?" he reached up to tug on the ends of his hair at the front, "yeah. do you like the color?"
yejin hummed, rubbing her chin thoughtfully, before shaking her head 'no.'
"you should make it pink!" she beamed at the thought.
yoongi chuckled. "you know, i have a friend who had pink hair."
yejin's eyes lit up at that. "reaaaaally?"
yoongi nodded with a smile. "really. well, now his hair's different, but his pink hair really suited him. his nickname is woozi."
"wooshi?" yejin tilted her head to the side, "he has a really nice name. what's your name again, mister?"
"yoongi."
"yoonki?" yejin inquired, and yoongi just nodded with a chuckle. "that's a nice name, too. be my boyfriend!" she grinned and yoongi could feel his heart melting.
"well," yoongi made a contemplative look. "i don't know if jimin will be okay with that idea."
yejin grinned, "it's fine! we can share!"
before yoongi could open his mouth to respond, he felt arms snake around his neck, hugging him from behind. tilting his head backwards, he saw jimin, staring down at him with a soft look. jimin leaned down, planting a kiss on the tip of yoongi's nose, making the latter chuckle.
"hi, babe."
jimin grinned. "hi."
yejin made a disgusted noise, making the two avert their gazes towards her. "boys are gross," she winced, but her look slowly softened. "but you guys are cute." she smiled.
jimin cooed. "thanks, yeye."
yejin crossed her arms, "don't call me that!" she whined, before calling out loudly, "mom!"
a few footsteps were heard in the kitchen, until mrs. park emerged out of the said place, a sweet smile across her lips. "yes, sweetie?"
"i'm," yejin yawned. "i-i'm sle-epy."
mrs. park chuckled, walking over and picking her up, yejin placing her chin on her mother's shoulder.
mrs. park turned to the two boys, "why don't you guys help out jimin's dad later at the cafe?"
oh, right, his dad owns a cafe.
"sure!" jimin replied.
mrs. park nodded, before slowly walking towards the stairs, cradling a now-asleep yejin in her arms.
after mrs. park was out of sight, yoongi quickly blurted out,
"i have a girlfriend now."
jimin spluttered. "what?"
"i mean, she doesn't know i said yes, but--"
"wait," jimin cringed. "my sister? you pervert!"
"chillax, i don't think she knows what a boyfriend is."
jimin sighed, pouting as he lifted his leg over the sofa, and then the other, until he slithered down and sat next to yoongi on the sofa. jimin pouted, staring straight ahead.
"aww," yoongi cooed, placing his arm around jimin's waist, making the latter squirm at the older's hold. "jiminie's jealous." yoongi laughed.
"yoongi--" jimin whined, trying to escape his grasp. "what would i even be jealous of? we aren't even real." he muttered the last few parts, and had to admit, it sort of broke his heart a bit when he said those words, but he didn't know why.
a corner of yoongi's lips tugged up, as he shrugged casually. "what, do you want us to be a thing?"
jimin gulped.
maybe.

meanwhile, jinyoung paced in his room, before peeking out of his doorway, spotting his mom who had yejin in her arms, about to enter the little girl's room.
"mom!" jinyoung whispered, catching her attention. "can i go to the cafe later and help out dad?"
"you don't need to," mrs. park told him, "jimin and yoongi are going this afternoon."
"oh." jinyoung frowned, "okay." he said, gently closing his door and striding towards his phone which was on his bedside table.
picking it up, he pressed on speed dial and clicked on a specific contact.
ring. ring.
click.
"hello?"
"is it your shift this afternoon?" jinyoung asked.
"yes. why?"
"good," jinyoung muttered. "jimin's coming over later."
"oh?" the voice grew curious.
"along with his new boyfriend."
