19. Speechless

(I decided I should go to 20 chapters and wrap things up for you guys (: Hope you enjoy.)

Their vacation is sadly coming to an end, but Josh insists Tyler wear the new outfit he bought while the brunette was at the beach with Jenna, and then orders Tyler to meet him on the beach when he's finished.

Tyler does such, smiling at he white, lace romper as he pulls it out of the bag. He also finds a pair of diamond stud earrings and a gold watch.

Holy shit, why would Josh buy him something so expensive? Tyler carefully clasps the watch, afraid touching the gold too much will somehow ruin it. Once the earrings are in, he smooths his hands over the romper, examining himself in the mirror. Damn, he looks good. Smiling to himself, Tyler doesn't bother slipping on any shoes as he takes off for the beach.

His feet smush against the warm sand as he walks, looking around for Josh. The tide is low as of now, and looking out over the ocean Tyler can tell the sun is about to set. He wonders what Josh has in mind, a mini photoshoot maybe? Tyler finally breaks past the thick vegetation lining the path and gasps at the sight.

Two rows of miniature lanterns illuminate the path to about mid-beach. The path leads to a circle of tiki candles, and in the center? Josh, sitting at a small table with yet another candle in the center. Tyler approaches with his mouth hanging open, which makes Josh chuckle.

"Nice of you to join me," he teases, standing and taking Tyler's hand. He leads the brunette to his seat, pulling out his chair for him and then helping him scoot in once he's seated. Josh takes his seat again, his hand finding Tyler's.

"This is beautiful, Josh," he gushes, looking around. "The outfit and everything."

"Thank you, baby. I'm glad you like it."

Their conversation is cut short when Jenna calls out from behind, "Dinner's ready!"

She approaches quickly, two plates in hand. After the plates are put down, Tyler can't help but laugh.

"Pizza! My favorite! You're seriously the best, Josh."

Jenna smiles, winking at the brunette. "Enjoy your meal. I'll be watching everything from the balcony." With that, she takes off. Josh picks up his wine glass and holds it out to the boy, who raises an eyebrow in response.

"It's sparkling grape juice," Josh explains, making Tyler giggle.

"Oh, got it," he replies, holding his wine glass out as well.

"To us," Josh starts, looking deep into Tyler's eyes, a small smile curved upon his lips. "To our future together."

Tyler's cheeks are a dark red as he responds, "To us."

They clink the glasses together and sip their juice, then Tyler immediately digs into the pizza. They eat pretty much in silence, listening to the waves of the sea. The sun is falling lower now, the sky is sure to burst into color any minute.

"Hey Ty?"

Tyler wipes his hands on a napkin, stuffing the last bite of pizza in his mouth as he looks to Josh. The latter is smiling, but he looks worried.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing," Josh assures. "Nothing at all."

"Okay...?"

"Dammit," the older mumbles, fumbling in his pocket. In one swift motion, he drops to one knee and opens a velvet box between his hands, revealing the most gorgeous diamond ring Tyler has ever seen in his entire life.

The brunette gasps, standing so quickly the chair falls backward into the sand. "Oh my gosh."

"Tyler, there aren't enough words in the English language to even begin to tell you how much I love you. I've known since our very first date that you were going to be the one I marry someday. I don't see the point in waiting any longer when I already know that I want to wake up next to you every morning until our last. So, Tyler, will you marry me?"

Tyler is speechless, literally. He stands there with tears in his eyes, hands clamped over his mouth, as he looks between the ring and Josh. He can't respond, so he doesn't. He just pushes the ring aside and attacks Josh in a tight hug, sending them both into the sand.

Finally, he manages, "Yes, of course, oh my god."

Josh chuckles, wrapping one arm around the boy on top of him as he sits up. He carefully removes the ring from the box and slides it onto Tyler's slender finger. Tyler doesn't wait any longer, he grips the back of Josh's head and pulls him in for a long-awaited kiss.

"I got the whole thing on video!" Jenna proudly shouts from the vegetation line.

Tyler laughs, twisting the diamond around his finger. "This is beautiful, Josh. Holy."

"If you think this one is beautiful, wait until you see the actual wedding ring," Josh winks, planting a kiss on his forehead.

Tyler's head spins at the thought of receiving another diamond ring. He's about to open his mouth when Jenna begins sprinting to them.

"Hurry! We need pictures right now!" She exclaims, pointing at the sky.

Tyler quickly helps Josh up and they brush the sand off of each other. Jenna begins taking several, several, photos of the two; many different poses and angles until five minutes later when Josh starts complaining.

"Are we done yet? My face hurts so bad."

"Mine too," Tyler whines, rubbing his cheeks.

"Yes, we're done. I'll send them to you guys, okay? I'll leave you alone now," the blonde winks, yet again, and runs off to actually leave the two alone this time.

Tyler is so overwhelmed. He doesn't know what to do or say, except twirl his ring and whisper, "I can't believe that just happened."

Josh takes the brunette's hand and carefully slides the ring off, setting it on the table. When Tyler looks at him confused, Josh only grins. "We're going swimming. Wouldn't want you to lose that ring, now would we?"

Before Tyler can respond, he's hoisted over Josh's shoulders and is being carried to the water. He laughs and screams, pleading for Josh to not throw him in because it's going to be cold.

"It's not cold at all!" Josh replies, already waist-deep in the ocean. He easily slides Tyler off his shoulders and tosses him into the water, making the younger squeal.

"Josh! Oh, I'm so going to get you back!"
