15. The Secret's Out

All of the eyes burn a hole into Tyler's back. He can feel everyone staring, judging, snickering. Josh must notice it too; his arm falls around the boy's shoulders and pulls him in closer.

With a sigh of relief, Tyler mumbles, "I should've just worn jeans."

"But you look gorgeous," Josh responds, guiding the boy into the elevator and to the top floor.

Even though Tyler wants to disagree, he kind of knows he looks good. Otherwise, why would everyone stare at him? Some people just can't understand how he pulls off a skirt so well, obviously.

(His outfit :'))

Josh unlocks the door to his office and lets Tyler in first. Said boy heads straight for the swivel chair behind Josh's desk.

"Uh uh, I need to work. You can sit there," the man says, pointing at the lounge chair on the other side of the desk.

Tyler crosses his arms, not moving from the seat. "That's boring."

"Sit on my lap, then."

"Okay," the brunette grins, satisfied.

He takes his seat on the man's lap, purposely wiggling around for a few seconds before getting settled. Josh pulls up some webpage on his computer with a bunch of different numbers and words Tyler can't understand.

"What's that?"

"Coding."

"For what?"

"Work," Josh chuckles, resting his chin on the boy's shoulder. "Don't worry your pretty little head off."

"I'm not worrying, just curious," he explains, watching Josh open his e-mail and scroll through the numerous unread ones. "Shouldn't you read those?"

"They're not important," the man shrugs, opening one that has already been read. "What do you think of Miami?"

"I don't know, I've never been there. Why?" Tyler asks.

Josh scrolls through the e-mail, ignoring the several paragraphs and skipping straight to the bottom where a picture of a beach is attached. "Just wondering. Do you like the beach?"

"Um, duh. Maybe not when I get sand in my ass, but yeah," the boy laughs, looking to Josh in curiosity. "Why are you asking me about the beach?"

"We should go sometime," Josh suggests, one side of his mouth raising in a smirk.

"Like, for vacation?"

"Maybe."

"Are you taking me to Miami?"

"Maybe."

"Jooosh," the brunette whines, rolling his eyes. "Just tell me."

"I-"

There's a knock on the door, interrupting the conversation. Josh tells whoever it is to come in.

An old man enters, gray hair combed to one side and wrinkly hands gripping the door knob. He's dressed nicely, all of Josh's employees are.

"Sir, Mr. Barakat is here to see you."

"Shit," Josh mutters, glancing at Tyler. "Alright, send him up."

"Will do, sir."

"Who's that?" Tyler asks once the old man leaves.

"He's the CEO of one of the companies we work with. You should probably leave us alone. Jenna is around here somewhere, she can-"

There's another knock. Josh hurriedly squishes Tyler under the desk, making the brunette whine.

"Stay quiet and don't try anything. Or else."

Tyler sits with his legs crossed, back resting against the desk, while Josh's legs are on either side of him. He hears the door open and someone walks in. Josh stands up, shakes the man's hand, and then sits back down.

"Good morning, Mr. Dun, how are you doing today?"

"I'm doing well, Mr. Barakat, thank you. Why the surprise visit?"

"Well..." There's some shuffling, then the chair squeaks as he sits. "There's been a change of plans."

"Meaning?"

"Meaning I need you to leave for Miami tomorrow morning."

Tyler gasps, then clamps his hands over his mouth. Josh covers up the noise with a cough, and thankfully Mr. Barakat doesn't notice the boy hiding under his desk.

"Why so soon? I haven't made any arrangements yet and my maid-"

"Consider it done. My husband is talking with Miss Black as we speak. Everything is taken care of, Mr. Dun, all you have to do is pack your bags."

Tyler wants to scream so bad.

He just wants to let out one huge, girly squeal but he can't. Instead, he stuffs his knuckle in his mouth and bites down on it as hard as he can.

They're actually going to Miami.

"Oh, alright. Is there anything else you need?"

"Not right now. Miss Black will receive all of the information and pass it onto you whenever you have free time. I'll see you in Miami, Mr. Dun."

"See you, sir. Have a good day."

The second the door closes, Tyler is leaping out from under the desk and jumping up and down. "No way! We're actually going! Oh my god!"

Josh smiles. "I did not expect for him to say we have to leave tomorrow. I need to talk to Jenna so she-"

"Sir?" Jenna says, the door cracked open and one eye peeking through.

"Come in."

After she shuts the door, words gush out of her like a waterfall. "Oh my god I can't believe we actually get to go to Florida. The flight leaves at nine tomorrow morning and when we get to the airport there will be a limousine waiting for us-"

Tyler interrupts her with a gasp. "Fancy!"

"I know!" Jenna grins. "And the chauffeur will take us to Mr. Barakat's guest house which, I might add, is right on the beach."

"This is going to be so much fun."

"Well," she starts. "Even though we'll be there for two weeks, Mr. Dun has to go to work with Mr. Barakat three days a week."

"That's not too bad," Tyler shrugs, looking to Josh.

"Not bad at all," he agrees, kissing the boy's forehead.

"Oh my gosh I have to pack! Tyler, come with me," Jenna demands, grabbing said boy's wrist and pulling him out of the room.

"See you at home, Josh! Love you!" He manages to shout before they've left the room.

Within a minute or so, the two are downstairs and on their way out to the parking lot. People stare again, but they quickly look away when they find Jenna glaring back at them.

"Some people, I swear," she mutters.

"It's fine. They're only staring because we're so hot."

"So hot," Jenna agrees, grinning at Tyler as they get in her car. "Ready to see my terribly messy house?"

"You? Messy? I don't believe it."

"You'll see," she chuckles, starting the engine and pulling out of the parking lot. "I'm never home to clean it. Debby helps sometimes, but she hasn't been over in months."

"If you think I'm the one to help you clean, you're way off," Tyler laughs.

"No, dumbass, you're going to help me pack," Jenna says with a breathy laugh. "And then we're going to your house and I'm helping you."

"Oh, great."

"Hey! What's so wrong with that?"

"This is going to take forever."
