Nineteen

Earlier

Yoongi cursed under his breath as he hung up the phone, immediately typing rapidly on the open laptop sitting on his thighs. He had thought he was done with all this, at least for the day. Then he'd gotten a phone call from the Singapore branch saying there'd been a fuck up and several orders weren't going to be fulfilled until it was sorted out. He still hadn't found out who was responsible. He was too busy trying to fix it. He felt the beginnings of a headache forming behind his right eye.

Two hours of traffic later he'd walked through his front door, his mood black. Jessikya had greeted him, immediately going over the weekly household report. He'd only been half-listening, rubbing his forehead in agitation.

"You'll need to meet with the contractor to go over the plans and give final authorisation. Then there's the matter of the decorator. He's needs you to make a decision on the colour palettes."

"Enough! Colour palettes? Seriously? I'm trying to save a multimillion dollar deal and you want me to pick my favourite colour like a kindergartener? I don't have time for this bullshit! You know what I want and what I like, so just give the damn authorisation yourself. Isn't that what I hired you for?" He snapped.

Jessikya's face tightened imperceptibly but she bowed her head. "Of course, Mr Min. Also, Mr Jung arrived forty five minutes ago. I believe he's waiting upstairs for you."

"That'll have to wait." He grunted.

"Shall I reschedule?" She asked like it was a haircut. He knew Jessikya was aware of the nature of his and Hoseok's relationship, but she was ever tactful.

"No need." He shrugged out of his coat, handing it to the woman as he made his way to his study. "Get me a coffee and something for this headache." He said by way of dismissal.

"Of course, Mr Min." She gave a short bow and walked out of the room.

"Mr Min?" Hoseok's voice snapped Yoongi from his work some fifty-five minutes later.

"What is it Hoseok?" He asked shortly, not looking up.

"I'm going to head off." He said.

"No, you aren't." He argued, still not shifting his gaze from his laptop screen.

"Look, Mr Min, you're obviously busy and it looks like you're going to be at it a while. I've got things to do anyway. I'll come back tomorrow or something. No problem." He said with a companionable smile.

"As you can see, I'm very stressed. Apparently all my employees are either lazy or incompetent. Now I have to fix the enormous cluster fuck that has occurred as a result of that incompetence." Yoongi finally looked up at him, anger and frustration clear in his black eyes, his tone condescending. "As I recall. I hired you to relieve my stress. Perhaps I was mistaken when I thought you at least could be relied upon to do your fucking job!" He muttered, turning back to his computer screen.

"Excuse me?" If he'd been looking, he would have seen Hoseok's open, friendly expression change into something hard and irritated.

"How hard is it to understand, Hoseok? I'm need of some relief."

"Relief?" He echoed, his tongue pressing at his cheek as he eyed his boss with an arched brow.

"Forget it." He muttered under his breath, returning his attention to his laptop. He didn't have time to walk the man through his job description. Again.

Taking the hint, Hoseok disappeared, probably to wait in the bedroom. Yoongi sighed, rubbing his temple absently. Just once he'd like the people he hired to pleasantly surprise him instead constantly disappointing him.

He didn't know how much longer it was before Hoseok reappeared in his study. He let out an exasperated breath and turned his attention to the man again.

"What is it now?" He asked impatiently.

Instead of answering, he crossed the room and closed the laptop, ignoring Yoongi's indignant squawk of protest. His hand curled firmly around his bicep and he yanked him from the chair.

"Damn it, Hoseok! I'm busy." He snapped.

"Not anymore. You've kept me waiting long enough, Kitten." He said silkily.

Yoongi shivered at the words, his eyes wide on Hoseok's implacable features as he was marched from the room like a naughty child.

A/N: I've left you hanging again! I'm the worst! Honestly I was going to write more, but this seemed like a natural break to leave it at. Rest assured, next chapter we will finally get back to where we left off.

Feel free to comment. I love to hear from you guys! Don't forget to vote! I purple you!
