Stepping out of the car I made my way to Lyn's room. As I stopped outside her room I heard faint sound of laughing from inside the room. Knocking on door twice I opened it and was happy to see Lyn smiling and laughing on her bed. "You guys started the fun without me?" I said faking a cry. They just nodded. "Look what I brought....cupcakes for my baby cupcake." I said handing the bag of sweets to Lyn who took them and started digging in as soon as she got the package. Turning towards Axel I tapped on his shoulders and told him to come out for a second.

"What happened?" Axel said as soon as he closed the door behind us. I heaved a sigh.

"The doctor called us...maybe he got the results. I'm scared." I said looking at the closed door. Axel hugged me tightly. "Don't be scared..maybe its a good news. Lets just go and hear what he has to say." He said and started walking towards the doctor's chamber. I followed him behind.

"Come in." We heard the doctor said from inside. Opening the door wider we got in and took seats in front of his wooden desk. "Did Ms. Lyn had tuberculosis in the past?" He asked as soon as we took a seat. I nodded, "yes when she was young...she was treated and the doctor said that she is all cured." The doctor shook his head, "it was cured indeed but due to its side effects that was left behind she gained the rarest disease of tuberculosis, XDR TB which is the short form of Extensively Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis." Axel and I looked at each other.

"It is a rare type of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR TB) that is resistant to isoniazid and rifampin." He continued, "And the bad news is we still happened found any cure to this disease yet...only 15% patients survived so the chances of her staying alive is very little." The doctor tried to sound sympathetic, but the news was a lightning striking for us.
