Axel Valdez

Ms. Storm ran towards Leon and hugged him tightly tears dripping from her eyes. I stared blankly at the direction of the ICU trying real hard to stop my tears from falling. I didn't want to be weak..I want to be strong and strong enough to help Lyn recover.

I stood there rooted to the spot staring blankly at particularly nothing...thinking of all the times we spend together, her smile, her drawings. I laughed as I remembered her memories.
"Axel" I could still hear her voice calling me. "Axel!" All of a sudden some shook me.

Opening my eyes slowing I could hear someone calling my name but it is not Lyn. "Axel! Dude are you ok?" A familiar voice asked. Opening my eyes completely I looked around my surrounding and saw Leon leaning in front of me.

"Y-yeah..what happened?" I asked sitting up straight. "Thank god..I wanted to say that you should probably go home now." He said. "Why..I want to stay. What happened to Lyn? What are you trying to hide now? Tell me." I said standing up to level with his eyes.

After a minute of silence. He opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted as the doctor came from inside. We all turned our heads in his direction.

"Who is Ms. Lyn Storm's family?" The doctor said looking at all three of us. Lyn's mom walked towards him and nodded, indicating that she's the one.
"As I wanted to say, Ms. Lyn is fine but the symptoms that she is showing is to be worried about." He said.
"What happened doctor?" Ms. Storm asked.

"All her symptoms are showing us that she got tuberculosis disease..but we are not sure about it. So we sent her reports to the Special Research Centre and the results will come in two or three weeks and sometimes it takes four to five weeks. Until then Lyn will be under our care." The doctor said. We nodded. "And fill the hospital services from the reception." He said before he turned around and left. Ms. Storm went after the doctor to the reception to fill the form. Leon breathed a long sigh of happiness as he heard the news. I walked towards him and hugged him tightly while whispering into his ears, "Lyn will be fine."

Its been three days since Lyn's been in the hospital. I always stayed with her and sometimes Leon and Ms. Storm would stay with her. The doctor and nurses came everyday to check on her but the results still didn't came.

"Hey! What are you thinking?" Lyn asked me with an innocent face. I shook my head sideways while mouthing a nothing. "Its so boring here.." she continued, "can we go outside?"
"Nope we can't." I said. "Why? I can walk tho." She said pouting. I just laughed at how childish she is.  "Ok since you are bored how about we play some games." I suggested and she agreed.
