Start with Me

-

Elusive cry of an innocent soul,
Often neglected,
Habitually avoided.

Echoing along the walls,
Asking to be heard,
Craving for an audience,
Inside my already anxious head.

"I want, change."

Change?

How can that be possible?

If the truth is frequently altered,
by tumultuous comical preachers,
That manipulates political affairs.

Abused immaculate eyes,
Blinded, deceived,
By norms and synthetic laws,
of the philanthropic platforms on white screens;
The thick threshold that hinders the general public,
to grow as human beings.

Hence, drown in the oblivion,
Of obnoxious scene from their own community.
Infatuated with transient sympathy,
On the white glowing mirrors,
Instead of an actual window—
That shows reality.

"I want, change."

Where to start?

What kind of change were you asking?

When customs are rapidly changing,
To most frivolous traditions.
Where a click—is much important;
Then a prayer.

Bending down the purpose of social media.
To lead the public into its
damnation,
And become alienated,
From the essential needs of its nation.

Where hunger become a conventional issue,
War becomes a habit;
Killings spree becomes heroic,
And glass skin is much more controversial,
Then the melting ice of the Antarctic.

Was that the change you were asking?

That I,
The one complaining,
Is condemned and chained,
by the same ironic dilemma of society.

"Only takes one tree, to make a thousand matches.
Yet, only takes one match to burn a thousand trees."

I wasn't asking,
For a dramatic modification.
I didn't ask you,
To become the light of this dark generation.
Nor, to do an audacity,
To demand the change I want to see.

Stereophonics wouldn't say those verses,
for a mere publicity.
Each verse are sound of humanity,
That often buried inside every individuality.

The space between you and your dream,
Is called, action.
Hence, the action starts with a decision,
That's rooting within.

Stop being radical,
On the word—change.
If you wanted to see a person,
That defines honesty;
Stand up and become one for your family.

Let's start to change the way you think,
Change the way you speak,
And the way you see things.
No one could ever change those things; than yourself.

"It's just a matter of time,
And the desire of an individual,
Who is willing to start a spark,
to burn an entire tree."

The cry of my soul that often neglected,
Habitually avoided;

Becomes my clarity.
That enlightens my anxious head,
To understand reality.

Now,
It's much clearer,
what kind of change you want to see;
The answer that always lives within me.

The change must start with me.
