[Harry's P.O.V]

I entered the kitchen.

It was beautifully decorated, not a single trace of Louisness. White marble floor, luxury wooden cabinets and granite stone counters.

"Harry come here" Louis called from the dining table,

The table contained food that seemed to have been prepared with certain care, spaghetti with meatballs, a large shepherd's pie and tall glasses of red wine. It seemed like the perfect meal for a chilly night and the grumble that echoed through my stomach, it agreed.

Louis was sitting at the table, his slim dainty hands resting on top of it and he intently watched the red wine being poured in his glass.

I finally noticed the man, who I assume was the French chef, he was a beautiful man with long ash blonde hair tied up in a bun, he looked like he was in his late twenties.

He had a fair complexion an was wearing a green chef's uniform ( which was quite weird).

I approached the table and took a sent beside Louis.

"Good evening sir, My name is Benjamin" the chef introduced himself.

"Hello, I am Harry" I extended my hand to shake his.

"I am well aware sir, I hope you enjoy yourself during your stay here with my master Louis" he bowed instead of shaking my hand. The way he talked reminded me of Cadbury from 'Richie Rich'.

I just nodded as an answer.

"The food looks delicious" I said honestly trying to completely ignore the past events.

"I am grateful sir" he then turned to Louis and said "Master, I will request for you to have some of that pie at least".

Louis looked down at his hands.

"bon appétit" he said before leaving the us to eat.

"Dig in Harry, Benjamin's food is the best" Louis smiled at me but it was so fake that I had to hold myself from flinching.

"Aren't you going to eat?" I asked.

"I had some snack before you came and that kind of ruined my appetite, you go ahead"

The silent was very uncomfortable, I sat there eating the delicious food (it was unbelievably good) and Louis kept fidgeting with his fingers.

"What are you doing in L.A?" Louis broke the silence.

"I took some time off, my scenes are done anyway so... yeah, decided to visit" I took a slice of the pie on my plate.

"Oh right, you are a movie star now" there was a sudden flash of something in Louis' eyes but it was gone as soon as it came.

"Your single was pretty sick too, I had it on repeat for an entire weak, my co-stars even started giving me weird looks" I lied a little there because I still haven't heard his music, I just couldn't.

"A week huh? that's impressive, you broke Niall's record of five days in a row" I wanted to preserve the glint of happiness in his voice but it didn't showed on his face.

"Have you been in touch with the boys?"

"Not really, the efforts were all one sided, Niall and Liam text me every other day, I feel bad for being kinda out of touch the whole year but I had stuff to take care of" Louis shrugged like it didn't matter.

"I talk to the boys all the time, we were even planning a private reunion, I bet Liam will tell you soon... What stuff were you talking about anyways?" as if on cue there a loud wail erupted from Louis pocket.

He took out the baby monitor and heaved a sigh of exhaustion.

"Show yourself around Harry, its late anyways, I have to take care of the monster's dookey" Louis got up from his seat.

"Goodnight Lou"

"Goodnight Haz-Harry, see you in the morning" the little stumbling Louis did over my old nickname warmed my heart.

Old habits die hard.

Author: I am thinking about picking up the pace, this story was just a 'what if' on Instagram so I never really planned it out but I am trying my best.

Also after I am done with this one, I am thinking about a new plot...

It will be a ghost/human AU with a side of adventure and humour. I want you guys to throw in your opinions.
