She ran and took random turns but the puppy chased her. Exhausted she ran inside a building and somehow managed to free herself from the puppy. Taking labour breaths she bent a little with her hands on the hips. Realizing her location she immediately looked up to know the name of the building which resulted a mild sprain in her back.
It was a book store. Slightly massaging her lower back, she walked inside with a little struggle. A huge banner adorned the entrance. 'Human Library Organization' was written on it in dark bold letters.
She thought of returning back but something attracted her that pulled her inside. She was intrigued by the concept of human library. She looked around, everyone seemed to be occupied except for a lady who was just looking around. Suhita first sat at a corner and eavesdropped a conversation. It was a debate about body issues and self love between two teenagers. Not interested in the debate she went and sat in front of the lady with a random book.
She peeked from her book to notice the lady with her eyebrows raised. Smiling to her self she lowered the book.
"I guess you're not participating?" Suhita heard the lady asking her pointing towards the banner.
"Not really, I did not find anything interesting"
"Well it's the questions you ask or I must say the company you choose,"she replied that quite made a impression on Suhita.
"Oh, what about you Ms...?"
"Suchitra, Chitra is fine"
"I am Suhita. Nice to meet you!"
"Me, neither found anything amusing here nor have any questions. But you seem curious and have lots to ask"
"Do you read minds?" Suhita asked with grin and then continued, "I do have lots to ask but I don't know if you're the right person to ask"
"Not really, just had been there in that situation quite a lot of times. Why don't you try asking then?"
Suhita had a nervous smile on her face not sure of how this is going to go.
"We can start with why we are here today", prompted Chitra.
"To be honest, a dog chased me here" replied Suhita ignoring her inner voice that screamed it was a puppy.
"That's really-"
"A traumatic way to start the day, I know" continued Suhita.
"I'm here because of a business deal but turns out it's off" said Chitra
"Oh! I'm sorry"
"You don't need to be. Now tell me what do you want to know"
"Actually I need to write a paper for my major and my topic is about human emotions, but I don't think it's possible to write it all summed up in a single paper nor it is easy to write all the possible ones. Because though the humans have the same emotions they don't feel nor react the same. I am sorry if I'm blabbing"
"No you're not Suhita. I get what you're trying to say. Though I am not psychology student nor do I know anything about human psychology,I can say that what we all do is survive and the bait is life - a happy one for which we try on and on in the name of hope."
"So do you say that it's all delusional?"
"May be... it's always the way we think"
"Then what makes you to say that we think in a particular way? Why not the other way around?"
"Honestly, it's influence and that's just human. We are all influenced and brain washed by different minds"
"What about the situations?"
"Our decisions causes the situations which gives us the options and that is something just meant to happen because it's you who decided but sometimes it's the other way around and that's destiny"
"I kinda don't understand. . ."
"Let me tell you a story"

Closing the door of her room, she quietly walked towards the stairs as the silence around her evolved into tense atmosphere with the ticks of the walk clock.
"Chitra"
Her eyes were wide in shock as she saw her sister near the stairs.
"You're going there aren't you?" her sister asked with concern that masked Chitra's emotions and gave solace.
Clutching the straps of her backpack tightly she looked at her sister and nodded her head slightly.
"Be careful and come back soon," her sister replied embracing Chitra close to her.
"I won't," said Chitra with a small smile.
Her sister Chaitra smacked her lightly on the arm and glared.
"I'm just kidding, I'll be back by next week " replied Chitra.
Dragging the suitcase and balancing the weight of the backpack on her shoulders she descended the stairs and opened the main door. Chaitra waved, closing the door as Chitra slowly disappeared from her sight.
Chitra turned back and looked at the black gate that shone brightly due to street light. With a small curve on her lips she started to walk ahead. As her heart was at ease, she felt someone blind fold her while her hands were tied at to her back. As a immediate reflex she kicked back her leg. A familiar yelp was heard.
"Dhara! Please catch her feet before she could give me an another kick!"
Before Chitra could recognize the voice, she heard someone shuffling and they caught hold of her legs.
"Are you alright?" She heard them talking.
"Yeah, I am. If she would've kicked me an inch lower...I wouldn't be alive"
Moving her feet Chitra freed herself from Dhara's grip and exclaimed,"Neil?! What the hell is this? Why did you blind fold and tie me up? And Dhara why are you here?"
"I think you have a lot of questions to ask" said Dhara.
"Of course! Now first remove the scarf and the blind fold," demanded Chitra.
"Nope it's not going to happen your majesty" replied Neil.
"Why is it so?"
"Cause we are abducting you!"
