Chapter 18
Nightmare's pov
"Is he there?"
"Yes boss."
"Heh... good. Bring him in."
Killer exited the room, and went to go bring in my new ally. I was finally able to track him down. I'm getting closer and closer to bringing the multiverse down to my feet.
AND THEN, THEY'LL ALL BOW DOWN BEFORE ME, THEIR KING!
"HAHAHAHAAHAAAAA!"
I lean back into my throne, clasping a hand over my eyelight as I laugh. I gasp as I begin to feel the chair tilting backwards.
CRASH!
"Booosss, is everything alright in thereeeee?"
I hear the door open. Fuck.
"This... is him? All I see is a tipped over chair, and legs sticking up."
I hear Killer rush over to me, and help me up. I growl, shoving Killer away. I stand up, and am face to face with the one and only...
"Ah, hello...
Hate."

3rd person pov
"How do you feel physically...?"
Ink asked, beginning to feel slightly nervous.
Error looked down at his lower abdomen, looking slightly worried himself.
"...I fEel... wEiRd..."
Ink narrowed his sockets.
"Describe it."
Error felt confused by Ink's demand, but decided to tell him.
"lIke sOmetHinG iS... bUilDinG uP aNd gRowIng iNsIde mE..."
Ink put his finger to his chin as he thought about what Error described.
He decided he would cal Sci about it later. For now, he would keep an eye on Error.
"Huh... well, I'm sure everything will be okay! For now, do you wanna talk for a bit?"
Error knew he had nothing else to do, being locked up here and all. And, he had completed all the puzzles, so he was reaalllyyyy bored.
"sUrE."
"Great!"
Ink cleared his throat. He then realized he had no clue what to talk about, so he decided to attempt to be a therapist.
"So, how're ya feelin'? Emotionally, I mean."
Error let out a loud groan, collapsing his face into his hands.
(Why did the wording of that remind me of how one of my cats likes to purr in my ear, lick my eyelids and collapse her big, fluffy ass onto my face in the middle of the night?)
"...I'll take that as a "I'm doing shitty." Don't worry, things'll get better!"
Ink placed a hand on Error's back, causing Error's glitches to fizzle as he tensed up.
"hÊy- dOń'T tOùcH mÊ sO sUdDenlY!"
Ink made no move to remove his hand from Error's back, and instead patted his back. Error's glitches were moving more rapidly, but not as bad as they usually did.
"í'Ll pUnÇh yOu øUt!"
Error began to spit threats at Ink, but Ink noticed that Error had no intentions to act on those threats. Ink's eyelights morphed as he realized...
'Could it be that he's slowly beginning to accept me touching him...?'
"yOÜ sHoUld kNøW nOt tÓ tøÛcH mE śØ rAnDomLÿ yOu bIg, sTùpÍd iDIot, yOû uGlY cLowN!"
Error finally stopped yapping at Ink, and instead turned away, growling, but still making no move to remove Ink's hand, or displaying any aggression. He simply crossed his arms, a grumpy expression on his face. He was glitching out, but it was better. Way better.
Ink felt a big smile grow on his face.
He was making progress.
A warm feeling bloomed in his chest, growing and growing. It grew so big Ink felt like he was melting like butter. He felt so... blissful, and he didn't know why. It felt so good, he had never felt something so beautiful.
Ink was going to ask Dream about that feeling later. He had to know more about it. Ink didn't want Error to become suspicious over anything, so he asked another question.
"So, what's your favourite colour, glitchy?"
"tHë hĒlL kInDa qÛeStĮoN īS tHaT?!"
Ink burst out into laughter at Error's reaction to his question. Error felt quite calm hearing Ink laugh. Error would never admit it, but he found Ink's laugh to be a beautiful, melodic sound. Almost like music.
Error remembered when Ink had hummed to him that one time. It was the most soothing, most silky voice he had ever heard. Ink truly had a beautiful voice; both when he spoke, or sang.
"Is it blue, perhaps?"
Ink asked. giggling.
"...ÿĒäH. bUt jUsT bÊÇaUse ÿOu gOt iT rIghT dØêSn'T mÉan yOù gÊt tO aÇt ćOcKy!"
Error kept his arms crossed, and still looked incredibly grumpy. Ink giggled again, amused with Error's actions.
As you can see... both were still unready to tell each other how they felt about one another. They were starting to think of one another as...
not that bad. Haha, got em-
(No, shut up and make them kiss)
(What?! No! It's way too early for that!)
"Hm, what's your favourite song?"
Ink asked Error, eyelights morphing into symbols to represent his curiosity.
"í døN'T hÂvE oNè."
"Oh! Well I listened to a nice song recently! Actually, someone commented a song that represents this book a little while ago! The song is called "come out and play" by Billie Eilish! If that was you, comment down below so Weeby can tag you!"
(INK THE WALL-)
"...øH. óH wow."
"Hehe, yeah! It's pretty great!"
Error was now silent. He was so used to the voices, he had never listened to music. He was always hearing so much talking and sound, he thought music would be just as bad. But now that Ink brought it up, he was curious. Of course, his stubborn self wouldn't say it.
"...this awkward silence is killing me, man."
"tHen dIe."
Ink gasped dramatically, removing his hand from Error's back and putting the back of his hand onto his forehead, flopping onto his back.
"Oh, how mean!"
Error gave him a frisk face, and scooted away from him.
"eW."
Ink sat up, a playful yet offended look on his face.
"What do you mean "ew"?! You can't say that about someone as fabulous as I~!"
Error cringed.
"wHo aRe yOu, mEtTatOn? a PaPyRuS?"
Ink stared Error dead in the eyelights, now looking serious. A bead of sweat rolled down Error's face.
"... P a p y r u s x M e t t a t o n s h i p c h i l d"
Error gave Ink two middle fingers.
"n O"
"Y E S"
Ink began crawling towards Error like a spider.
"AAaAaaAaAaaaAAaaaaA-"
"COME HERE ERROR~!"
Error scooted back, with Ink scuttling after him.
*Ink and Error are filled with playfulness.
Ink lunged for Error, who rolled out of the way, and stuck his tongues out.
Ink looked at all of Error's radiant blue tonges with awe.
"Wow..."
Ink breathed, and Error put his tongues back in.
"yEaH, pReTty wEiRd, rIghT? wHilE I wAs tRaPpEd In tHe aNtI-vOid, I stArTed tO gEt wEiRd cHunkS oF cOdE, gIvIng mE rAnDom bItS aNd pIEcEs I nEvEr hAd bEfOre."
Ink was fascinated by this information.
"So, you have other weird pieces of code? Can I see some?"
Error rolled his eyelights playfully.
"bEtTer giVE mE sOme cHoColAtE tOmMorOw tHen!"
Ink giggled.
"Sure thing. Now, lemme seeeeee!"
Ink did a weird wiggle thing with his fingers; flexing each one out.
"aLrIghT aLrIghT-"
Error took off his iconic Sans slippers, revealing his feet, which were as beautifully mismatched as his fingers, but there was something weird on them. They were slightly pointy at the tips, and had pink patches on the ends.
"Is that... nail polish?"
Ink asked, taking a closer look. Error flushed a slight yellow, putting the slippers back on.
"ÿ-yEaH, bUt Ī dIdN'T aŠk fOr īT, sÓ šHùt uP!"
(Haha kawaii desu, bitch.)
"Awww, glitchyy, I think it's cute and unique!"
Error looked shocked, then his face began to glow yellow, so he buried his face into his hoodie, mumbling incoherently.
Ink chuckled at Error's antics. He was adorable, and Ink swore to protect this precious bean from any danger.
How long would he be able to keep it up?
:)
More time passed. The two had just decided to sit in a comfortable silence, enjoying each other's presence.
To Error, it felt nice having someone's company, however it felt... weird, and quite new. It gave him funny feelings deep down inside.
To Ink, he liked being in Error's company without being attacked. This was something he'd definitely get used to, if this lasted.
Both knew...
They're not alone. They have each other.
Then, Dream and Blue busted into the cell, announcing:
"DINNER TIME, BITCHES!!"
And then they accidentally crashed Error, got scolded by Ink, waited for Error to reboot, and then they all enjoyed a nice dinner together.
Perhaps, it would be their first and last?
