Dance of Dragons

I was listening to this song and this lovely scenario came into my mind. Please read the chapter first, thoroughly, then listen to this song and imagine this scenario. Believe me, you won't regret it. ;)

Oh, I'm not much into descriptions, so Kyro and Clove's clothes are the same as in the picture above. And this is the first time I try a dancing scene, I don't even know how to dance, lol. So there might be mistakes and I might have not written good.

Summary: Both Cerulean and Crimson Clans discussed issues about the alliance marriage. Seemingly, Crimson Clan was the place that the marriage took place, and celebrated. So it is time to carry this happiness to Cerulean people. Despite how hard the leaders try to keep it traditional, Kyro and Clove decide to something invigoratingly innovative, and contagious, enough to convince people of their true love.

***

Traditions are must and all, but the truth is, they are boring. All Kyro and Clove did were sitting, receiving blessings, opinions, and so on.

Clove wanted something exciting. Something full of action.

Kyro knew that Clove wanted to see her people smile, to see her home lively. He remembered from their nightly chats that she has never seen any trace of happiness in this land, after her mother was gone. As much as he did not want to make a show of himself, he wanted to see her laugh, her toothy smile, her shining blue eyes in this special day. He wanted to bring the joy she and this frozen land have lost, knowing that will make her happy.

"It's time we brought some color to this place." Kyro suggested with a smirk. "Shall we dance, my darling?"

"Quite the invitation, my dearest Crimson Prince." She smiled, knowing what he suggested. "What will elders think?" She couldn't help but get anxious about what could happen. Would everyone will be okay? What elders will say if they see this as an insolence?

"This is only about you and me, Snow Queen." He winked and held her hand. "Will you bestow the honor of dancing with you?" And kissed her hand, arousing curiosity and confusion around the blue and white hall.

"Honestly, I don't care for any of them now." She giggled and accepted, and couldn't help but blush at his gentleman attitude and nickname. Snow Queen. Sounds good. If it means to spending a good time with him, then she won't have any regrets.

He got up, still holding her hand, lead her into the white center. Turning completely to her, he started to dance with Clove in a way never heard before as a vivid and brisk music started to play.

At first they were embarrassed, dance was awful, every single eye was upon them, but quickly they gained confidence. They held both their hands, revolved around together and pulled themselves back to each other, only for Kyro to spin her under his hand and hug her from behind. They both laughed and again spun around, holding hands together. Clove's red hair and blue dress, and red strips on Kyro's shoulders flew around them like a flowing majestic magic as they moved. No one understood what they were doing at first, but that quickly soon dissipated into pure joy. Not that the royal couple minded, they were in their own little world while the blue hall joined into their smiles and dance more and more.

Their gazes connected, golden amber colored dragon scales and glints appeared around Kyro's eyes as he spun her around. Her cerulean eyes sparkled with loveful nirvana. A vibrant trace of their happiness as they both laughed to each other. He didn't know how to dance much, neither did she, but they went along with it. It was more like a fairy tale, a dance of Fire Prince and Snow Queen instead of two feared dragons.

Never had anyone in this cold blue hall seen this side of them. Of how they did not care about anything, of how they just lived the moment of their day. For the first time in a long time they saw their laughs. Bright as the sun and snow. Heavenly as the soft breeze of a cool partly cloudy day.

At the last spin, Kyro held Clove's right hand with his own, and spun her into his embrace, hugging her from behind as she also held his hands on her stomach. He rested his forehead to her temple, both laughing, eyes closed, enjoying the moment. Then they both pulled apart, grasped each other's right forearm until elbow, and revolved around, occasionally changing hands, eyes never leaving the other. Kyro's red strips and Clove's red hair and blue dress flowed behind them.

"Aww, come on!" Kharis, excited, pulled Nouren's hand and forcefully dragged him onto the white dancing floor.

"Princess, it's not appropriate-" Nouren protested, but Kharis did not mind.

"This is an order captain!" She winked at him and started to dance with him, as vigorous as Kyro and Clove's dance.

"As you wish, Your Highness." He chuckled and accompanied her moves with his own. He captured a red rose with his mouth and held Kharis by her waist and leg, leaning over her as she arched her back with amazing flexibility, their faces inches away. His shining purple eyes looked deep into her amber ones, both smirking. Then he held her by her waist with two hands and threw her into air, she happily whirled by, her red dress accompanied her dance with graceful swing like a blossoming red camellia. Nouren caught her from her back as she landed on her feet, holding her by her stomach, then moved his hands to her waist to lower her body backwards over his side with himself leaning over her, putting one hand on her back to support her, the rose still between his white teeth, purple eye winked at her with a grin.

She surprised him by pulling him into a quick kiss in that position, flaring his face up, and stole the rose with her mouth before getting away, holding Nouren's hand to pull him into another fast, zippy dance. The captain chuckled, enjoyed the brief second of their lips brushing together, and kept going with her. She started to perform a slightly fast paced dance, with him mimicking her from behind.

Kyro saw what happened, but he let it go this time, too busy with Clove to care. Though he closed his eyes briefly and his eye twitched. Clove tittered at his face, which only made him chuckle and give a peck to her nose, startling her briefly.

Even Reina couldn't stand idle. She held out her signature whip and caught Lieutenant Aaron, bringing and crushing him into her in shock, and she held him in a tango position.

"What are you doing?!" Aaron protested, but still went along with her. Reina smirked to his face instead.

"Afraid of some dance, blue dog? Woa, you're heavy!" She struggled to keep his big posture in balance and fell to the floor on top of him. Quickly getting up with Aaron, she jumped over his side, grasping his neck with her arm and pulled him around until the previous tango position, only for Aaron to counter-attack by changing positions.

"How does it feel, crimson vulture?" He grinned to her face, which she snorted and jumped over his shoulders, standing on his body with her hands raised high and connected as if she's about to jump into a pool. Then jumping high, she did a graceful backflip in the air, landing on her feet in front of Aaron.

"Woa!" The lieutenant was surprised.

"Don't get ahead of yourself, headband!" She threw her whip again, this time Aaron countered with his spear, and pulled her into him by force, amazing her, also stealing that whip.

"How about this?" To overshadow her backflip, he gave his spear to her first, then walked to the side of the floor and stretched a bit. After relaxing his muscles, he suddenly ran to the white floor, and performed back handsprings masterfully until the other side of the floor, making everyone gape in awe. After the last move, he threw that whip over her, and pulled her to him via it, puzzling her. As she crushed into him, he gripped her by her waist and removed the whip. "Nice tool." And placed it on his belt.

"Now, you know how to catch my attention." Then the duo sparred into another dance, enjoying every second of that rivalry.

"Ahem." Lord Arkos, in his usual appearance with that blue cloak on, approached the Empress. "It is inappropriate for parents to stand idle in their children's wedding." A blush crept over his cheeks, no matter how much he tried to sound formal and unwilling. "Will you grace me with this honor, Your Highness?"

"Hm..." The Empress seemed angry at first, as if she was insulted, invoking fear into those around her. Then with a chuckle, she held his hand and stood up, as she was aware that this was the perfect time to stand beside her son and daughter-in-law, to support what they are doing. Not to mention dancing with Arkos seemed fun. "This is their day after all." She inclined to the happy couple. "Let's show them how it is done." This shocked everyone beyond, but they already got accustomed to that feeling by now. Well, theirs was the most traditional and slow one, but still something to behold. You don't see the Crimson Empress dancing with a Cerulean every day.

Kyro was beyond happy when he saw his mother shoting them a smile while dancing with Clove's uncle, in turn making Clove smile. Arkos did the same, albeit slightly smiling, making the couple happier. Both Kyro and Clove acknowledged them and faced each other again, chuckling together. Seeing their family enjoying this and supporting them was a fuel to their dancing spirit.

"Hey." A small girl, the one that gave Clove snowdrops before her journey to get married, approached Yun, the boy who serves the Empress. "You wanna dance?"

"Sure!" He happily answered and took her hand. Childish and clumsy, but they danced nevertheless. Running and whirling around. Doing random motions. Acting like however they felt like.

For the first time, no one seemed to care about royal and official stuff. Well, mostly no one.

Meanwhile, some Crimson officials looked in horror.

"Disaster has befallen upon us! Grand Marshal, you have to do something!"

"Hm..." The mixed blood only sighed. "To hell with the politics." He nudged the music group's chief, and pulled him aside while taking his stick, then started to control the musicians into a fairy tale beat, doing a fabulous orchestra. "Hm..." His eyes were momentarily closed as he relished in the newfound hobby. It was no different to control a band of musicians than a band of warriors. Even his falcons gathered around and swayed their little bodies to sides slowly while their wings were partly open.

In the meantime, Yun and the girl accidentally crushed into the royal couple. Before they could apologize, Kyro carried Yun on top of his shoulder with one hand as Clove did the same to the girl, and they still held each other's free arms as they danced, the poor embarrassed children held onto adults for support as they laughed together. Holding their arms, they skipped to opposite sides, then changed the direction a few times.

"Watch and learn, kid." The prince whispered to the boy and put him down, Clove did the same. Then they began to swiftly perform the waltz dance. She held his hand and spun around herself, with Kyro holding her hand up and helped her balance. The children, mesmerized by their affection, did the same, they mostly looked and mimicked what the dragon couple did. Finding it cute and romantic, the adult duo grinned, never stopping the dance as he pulled her into his embrace to dance together, mostly moving around with Kyro holding her waist and hand, and Clove holding onto his shoulder.

Dancing with those children sent forth the dreams of their future together, with their little own children. A dream that was currently far away. A dream they wanted to achieve together, despite never speaking about it.

Those children, meanwhile, stumbled upon Empress Kirra and Lord Arkos this time. The older rulers just laughed a bit and held the small kids' hands, the four of them spun around slowly, laughing.

Dancing and watching the people, the love dragons found themselves giggling. The people they know were at their happiest moment, as like themselves, what could they ask for more? Kyro was holding Clove's right hand with his left, and his right was on her waist while she put her left hand on his shoulder, slowly dancing around as they grinned to each other. He saw an open balcony, completely empty, soft winter winds caressing the blue curtains.

"Would you like to take a break?" He suggested with a smile and gestured to the open part.

"Sure." She smiled back. "It's getting crowdy and tiring here." They both chuckled and he led her to the isolated place by holding her hand. Giggling, Clove held onto white snowy railing, with him behind. "Kyro, I'm-" She was catching her breath while speaking, but when she turned around to face him, she was surprised by his glowing dragon scaled eyes. "What-?" He didn't give her a warning, and held her waist with both hand before flying into full moon air, able to do so without turning into a dragon.

"Aa!" She desperately held onto his shoulders until the full moon enveloped their figures above the palace. She tried to scold him, but when her cerulean gaze locked into his golden dragon scaled sparkling eyes, when she saw how dreamily and intently he looked, she could only part her lips in equal emotion as he held her tight.

For the first time in her life, she saw his toothy smile. Not like a grin, but with genuine happiness, a soft one. That alone was more than enough to make her smile brighter with him, both closing their eyes and leaning into each other for a kiss blossoming with love, smiling against each other's lips. The moment the couple kissed and closed their eyes, an array of magic scattered from them, a soft snow started with Clove's power, accompanied by equal fire snow by Kyro's power, not harming, but akin to fireflies. Like fire colored snow crystals.

The moment those magical snow particles touched the snowy ground, snowdrops sprouted. And among those flower groups, also sprouted the less numbered but bigger fire colored dahlias. Even low parts of building walls and much of palace walls were covered by them.

A miraculous magic born from their love.

Alerted at what was happening, the entire court was outside immediately. And together with the folk, they were enchanted by the sight of two dragon heirs kissing in the sky in front of the full moon, and their combined dragon magic casting miracles around.

The people beneath were beyond shock, but soon joined in the dance party.

"Long live the dragons! Long live the dragons!" Soldiers chanted, masses joined into the dance as they all were mesmerized by the charming dragon magic.

After that long passionate connection of lips, Kyro slowly broke the kiss and opened his eyes, Clove following the same, gazes fixed into each other.

The next moment, they were in the royal bedroom prepared for them. Behind the blue drapes was their white bed with blue blanket. Kissing her with utmost passion, he laid her down gently, with him on top, his upper body was already exposed despite the cold weather. Similarly, she was wearing a turquoise nightgown that exposed the parts from above her collarbones and from below her thighs, and also much of her back.

His left hand grazed her dragon mark on her back, and the other was busy with her leg, feeling her soft skin. Likewise her hands explored his shoulders, nape and back, both enjoying the warmth of their intimacy as they kissed. Breaking the connection between their lips, he kissed her cheek and toothily smiled against her skin, in return she smiled similarly and turned him to kiss him. They had never gone this far before, not that they had second thoughts.

Still, he momentarily broke the kiss, raised himself a bit up to look at her face properly, looking for any sign of reluctance. All he saw was an equally loving gaze. Clove held his flushed cheeks and pulled him close to kiss him, assuring him of her wants.

"Kyro." She spoke softly, again locked her gaze with his passionate eyes, her delicate fingertips traced his burning cheeks. "Will you stay by my side?"

"Don't be silly." He smirked and leaned in to speak into her ear. "Even death cannot do us part." And kissed her cheek before returning to her smiling lips.

So, smiling into each others lips in the embrace of love, they continued to what they started, their dragon marks and scaled eyes that were closed shining brightly with their respective colors.

Whilst their shadow silhouettes consummated their love behind the blue drapes, the walls and columns were wrapped by snowdrops and dahlias in harmony.

So how was it? It was most likely a Disney love story, and I have no regrets. ^^ Writing dance is really difficult. I entirely based on what scenarios this music ringed into my mind. Dancing parts are inspired by the loudest part of the music, simply beginning and middle parts, while the bedroom scene is inspired by the last part of the music, just when the tempo slowed down. I hope you'll feel it too.
