Within the walls of Phantom Lord there were many people. As a result, many people had their attention on Juvia and me as we walked through the guild. There were some disgusting looking men eyeing my friend, so I glared in their direction. Those weaklings actually looked away.

"Where do you ladies think you are? This isn't a nice little pub!" A man in a weird hat growled.

"Juvia knows that," Juvia answered coldly. "Juvia and 8117 wish to join this guild."

I heard rounds of laughter from men and manly looking (and sounding) women. "Talk to Jose about that," One man joked.

Juvia flinched slightly at his name as I responded. "Where is this Jose?"

"Upstairs," Another drunk laughed as he slammed his fist on the wooden table he was sitting at.

"Very well," I said and grabbed Juvia's wrist as we headed up a giant staircase to this 'Jose'.

Sadly, he wasn't as nearly exciting as his eyebrows. What a shame that is.

"Jose's eyebrows are scaring Juvia," Juvia whispered to me when we opened his office doors.

"My thoughts exactly," I spoke normally, not caring if he heard me or not.

"And your thoughts are...?" Jose inquired.

"That we want to join this guild." I spoke loud and clear, not wanting him to misunderstand.

"You're funny." He fake smiled, "Get out."

"B-But Juvia and 8117 traveled all the way from Crocus to join Phantom Lord! Please!" Juvia began to beg.

"If you're that willing, you won't mind proving yourself, would you?" Jose inquired with fake curiosity. Were all guild masters this fake?

"O-Of course not! Juvia and 8117 will prove it to Jose!" Juvia said determinedly.

"Come downstairs with me; to the pub." Jose said, getting up from his desk. He guided us with his hands on the small of our backs; what a sleaze.

"Shut up!" Jose yelled when his guild wouldn't quiet down for him.

Everyone immediately froze and turned towards us. "Now, this is Juvia," Jose pushed Juvia in front of him, "And this is 8117." He pushed me next to Juvia. "They wish to join!" He cooed crazily. "We all know what that means!"

"Initiation! Initiation! Initiation!" The guild began chanting over and over again.

Juvia began to look around, obviously nervous, but I took her hand. We could take on anyone in this guild, no doubt about it.

"Who volunteers to... help these young ladies?" Jose asked. "Anyone?!"

"I think it should be Totomaru!" A random person yelled.

"Ah, he is the newest, isn't he?" Jose sighed. "Very well; play hide and seek with these two in town. If you haven't found either by sunrise tomorrow they're in." Jose explained. "Oh... and magic is encouraged. Show off if you must." He smiled evilly and began walking up the stairs back to his office.

"They have one hour to hide! Go!" He shouted.
