2 - Guilds

Juvia and I woke up and began walking through the large city of Crocus, again. "Juvia thinks eight one one seven and Juvia should join a guild together." Juvia said, out of the blue.

"A guild...?" I asked, cocking my head to the left.

"It's a place where mages gather and earn money." She explained.

"Sure... I guess." I agreed as she jumped for joy.

"Maybe I could pay you back after I get a job there." I said to myself.

"Juvia doesn't want money. Eight one one seven stopped Juvia's rain, that is all Juvia has ever wanted." My new friend stated with utmost generosity.

"Oh?" I asked and looked around to see that the rain had, in fact, stopped. The sun was beating down on me with its harmful, hot rays. "I guess I did."

"See? Eight one one seven is Juvia's only friend." She explained.

"Mhm." I agreed as we walked.

Juvia and I had done research the entire day. We were looking for the perfect guild for us, one that was far away from the lab.

We decided that we would join Phantom Lord. One of its bases was somewhat far away from the lab, and it is one of the strongest in Fiore. It sounded more pleasant than the notorious Fairy Tail. They had multiple members who caused a little debt to the guild.

"Juvia is so excited!" Juvia announced as we boarded the train to Oak Town.

"So am I." I agreed as I slouched in my seat, ready to relax.

As soon as I closed my eyes I heard the sound of metal hitting something. My eyes snapped open and I was somehow in a defensive crouch, ready to fight. Juvia was surprised at how I acted but went to check out the situation for me.

Before she came back, I stood up and shook off the hype of adrenaline. Soon after I did so, Juvia came back and filled me in on the situation. "A woman with red hair hit a boy with pink hair as a gorgeous raven haired embodiment of-"

"So, someone just got hit with something?" I intervened, sensing an in depth conversation about a guy would have happened if I didn't.

The rest of the ride we sat in silence. Not an awkward one, just a silent silence. But, that was interrupted as soon as the train had stopped.

It was announced that we had arrived in Oak Town and all would need to get off. Of course, Juvia and I were getting our things quietly and politely, but the others Juvia had mentioned caused a great ruckus while they practically threw each other across the train.

I ignored them (slightly), but Juvia didn't. She was drooling over the raven haired guy she mentioned before, rightfully so. He was shirtless, and fighting a pink haired guy. A girl dressed in armor surprised them and smashed their faces together. Completely normal.

I had to drag Juvia away from the abnormal group. They would only cause her trouble.

After the raven haired man was out of sight, Juvia slowly turned back to her normal self. "So, where is this infamous 'Phantom Lord,' I wonder." I said to get Juvia's attention.

"Juvia knows it's somewhere here!" She said with sudden conviction.

"I know." I said while giggling slightly.

After a ten or so more minutes, we found ourselves at the entrance of Phantom Lord. "Tch. It's about time." I say, slightly agitated by how 'long' it took us to get here.

"Ready?" I asked Juvia. She nodded with complete determination in her eyes. I nodded back and pushed open the doors to Phantom Lord.
