A free bird I thought myself,
Dreamt to spread my wings and fly,
Wishing to reach the heights,
And kiss the horizon.

But all was a lie,
Trapped I am by unseen cages,
Trapped I am by unseen people,
Binding me by unseen chains.

Heart was broken,
Dreams were shattered,
Killing my soul,
Alive but dead I'm.

The world is cruel,
Can't see my growth,
Pulling me back to the ground,
Was their only aim.

Successful they were,
In building an unseen wall,
Trapping me by their judgements,
In those gilded cage.

Tried breaking them,
Fought for my freedom ,
But all in vain,
Trapped I'm forever by them!
