Steven's POV

My mind is all over the place.
Yesterday was arguably the best day I've ever had. Me and Connie actually confessed our feelings for each other, and we kissed.

I woke up in my bed to the sound of something sizzling on the stove downstairs..

Probably Amethyst...

I yawned and then looked to my right, the view of the ocean was impeccable but it was relatively bright so it was probably in the morning.
I rubbed my eyes to see a little better and then looked to my left and...

There was Connie laying in the bed right next to me.

I rubbed my eyes completely to make sure I wasn't in somebody's body again. I wasn't.

I quietly place one foot down on the wooden floor and then the second one and the slowly walked across to the stairs. I took a little peek to see what she was doing and I was surprised that the whole team was out, well Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl and Greg to be exact. The more I looked, the more I realize what they were actually planning...

THEY KNEW WE KISSED!?

It was supposed to be private. I mean, I know Garnet has future vision but still, it was supposed to be our moment. Turns out our Happily Ever After is there Happily Ever Beginning.

Seriously, Pearl is jumping all over the place excited.

Garnet is sitting on the couch smiling.

Amethyst is in the kitchen (as expected) making what seems to be a "Together Breakfast" but with ALL Breakfasts.

and Greg is next to her laughing while hold a colorful pamphlet in his hand.

I look carefully at it even from the stairs and I can make it out to say, "St.McKaud High School...

DANCE!?

I rush up the stairs to my bed and I gently and smoothly woke up Connie. She wore the same pajamas she wore a while back when the blizzard came in strong and Greg and I had to stay at Connie's house.

She yawned and then looked at me. She then smiled which really took me off guard and then with the most sweetest tone she said,

"Hey Biscuit."

I could feel my gem glowing as a faint Pink bubble dome around me but I kept things under control.

"Um, Hey Strawberry. Uh, I really don't have any recollection of you staying here. NOT that I don't want you to stay here.", I said slipping in that last piece just out of thought.

"You don't remember yesterday?"  she said in a confused but sarcastic way.

I showered back even more sarcastically by saying, "Oh, of course I remember about yesterday".

We both shared a funny laugh before Connie told me what really happened.

"Well, while we were watching the movie, my mother called me so I went downstairs to answer her. She told me that I could stay overnight here so I went to the bathroom to change into my pajamas. As soon as I got upstairs you were fast asleep, so..." before she continued, she laughed hysterically before looking at me and then started blushing with a huge smile across her face.

My whole human half felt like it was about to explode but being a person of his own responsibility, I kept it under control.

"I lifted you and carried you to the bed. *Sigh* Reminds me of the time when I carried you to Pink. Man, time flies fast doesn't it Steven?"

Emotions are starting to dwell in me. I'm tearing up right in front of her.

Oh my God, if Connie didn't come to save me, I  W O U L D ' V E  D I E - .

"Steven?" she says in now a questioning tone.

I fall to my knees, shivering in disappointment in myself, and looking down I hold her hands and say...
