After practicing You Are My Sunshine for weeks, I finally played it for my dad.

I began to practice the song because it reminded me of him, he used to sing that song to me a lot when I was younger.

So after showing me some cool videos of people playing the national anthem on the electric guitar, I told him that I learned a song and wanted to show him.

He sat on my bed and I took a deep breath and began to play it.

He silently began to sing along with it as I played, and when I looked up, he was crying.

It was just a really sweet and tender moment.

I love my dad, a lot.
