Okay so personally I think that a hot dog is not a sandwich because I've always known that it isn't and I'm too subborn to change my mind. And I have these arguments to help me:

It has always just been in its own category of food as just a hot dog, it has never been known as a sandwich and whoever thinks that it is a sandwich is a doodyhead. Yes I'm 14 and saying doodyhead, fight me.

However, I will show the other side of the argument:

This is basically what a hot dog is but it's usually held on the other side, unlike an actual sandwich which is two bread pieces on top with something in the middle.
