Third Person's POV

Annabeth smiled as Percy started whining about how hard studying was. He kept talking sadly and Annabeth listened to him but not focusing at all.

She was busy noticing tiny things about her  seaweed brain that was quite underrated. 

The way he smiled and his eyes sparkled sometimes, the way he pouted most times to get her to do something, the way he would be positive despite anything, the way he smiled brightly every time he looked at her. 

After some time Percy snapped his fingers in front of his face and she looked at him blinking her eyes. 

"Wise girl did you hear anything I said?" He asked pouting

"No, I was too busy thinking about what to study next so I kinda zoned out. Sorry Seaweed brain." Annabeth said apologetically but what confused Percy was that she looked very flustered. 

(*cough* Thinking about studying? *cough* Sure..😏whatever helps you sleep at night)

"Annie are you alright?" Percy asked concerned and caressed her cheeks and she leaned in to the feel of his slender callused fingers against her skin. 

"Yeah.. why wouldn't I?" She said looking away closing her eyes as she felt Percy trail his fingers across her jaw slowly. 

He hummed and pulled her closer an arm around her waist, face buried on the crook of her neck. He exhaled and the warm breath on her neck send chills down her spine..

"Percy" Annabeth whispered 

(Also I think I forgot to mention where they were😅. Anyway they are in the school library and its quite empty btw)

"Hmm?" He hummed and looked up, sea green eyes staring straight into her soul unblinkingly and she would be lying if she said that they didn't take her breath away..

"I love you" She said softly eyes filled with rich emotion that only the other could understand

Percy smiled softly and leaned closer to her, lips near her ear. "I love you Wise girl, so much that I wanna keep saying this until I die. I love you so much"

Annabeth smiled and pecked his lips.

Percy stared at her fondly and kissed her forehead sweetly. 

This cute moment was interrupted by a loud cough coming from right behind them.

Percy and Annabeth turned to see Masooma glaring at them sharply. Annabeth narrowed her eyes, finding her M best friend's behavior utterly suspicious. But she shrugged it off thinking that it might be just her imagination.

"Oh Hello Masooma" Percy said cheerfully and Masooma smiled sweetly back but didn't spare a glance at her so called best friend. 

"How did you know that we were here?" Annabeth asked frowning

"Uh oh I met Joe on the way here and he told me" Masooma said smiling at Percy who looked utterly confused 

"Joe? the idiot jock who is always after me?" Annabeth asked disgusted

"Yeah" Masooma said irritatingly and went back to staring at Percy who awkwardly smiled at her, not knowing what else to do. 

"Um Why are you looking at me like that?" He asked obliviously

"Oh I was trying to remember why I came here. So I might've zoned out. Sorry Percy" She said apologetically

Percy smiled finally understanding why while Annabeth clicked her tongue slowly finding the entire situation very suspicious. 

"Anyway now I remember why I was looking for you" She said turning towards Annabeth "Mrs. Yellow wants to meet you"

"Oh?"

"Yeah she said it was urgent so I think you should go" Masooma said seriously "You don't want your grades to fall do you?"

Annabeth nodded absentmindedly and gave Percy a swift kiss "I'll be back soon, Stay here with her okay?"

"Yes Wise girl" He said rolling his eyes but kissing her back 

And with that Annabeth hastily walked out of the library leaving an oblivious Percy alone with Masooma.

"So Percy how are you so handsome?" Masooma asked flirtatiously

"Uhhh?" Percy said looking utterly confused

"Your so hot" She said tracing a finger along his biceps

"Uh Miss" Percy said pursuing his lips "can you move away?"

"Why? You look exactly like the boy of my dreams" She said leaning closer

Percy chuckled and said "I don't really think so because this looks like my nightmare"

She ignored him and leaned closer, placing both hands on his strong arms "You take my breath away Percy"

"Uh, Nope because your breath makes me push away" He said rolling his eyes and pushed her away politely 

"Percy please" She said pleading "I am in love with you"

He snorted and replied "Aren't you Annabeth's best friend? How can you just come in and try to seduce her boyfriend?"

"Percy please I am trying to help you"

"Oh really? Please enlighten me how then?" He said snickering

"Listen Annabeth doesn't love you. She is actually a cheater." Masooma said sadly "I've seen her making out with countless guys and I am telling you all of this because I don't want you to get hurt and also because-"

"Because?"

"Because I love you" Masooma said sweetly while Percy just chuckled and said "You love me? A very bad decision really."

"Why is it a bad decision?"

"because no matter what I won't ever love you back. No offence your not just my type" He said shrugging "Also my wise girl doesn't cheat"

"I knew you won't believe me, Come follow me" She said and pulled Percy out of the library into the school hallways which were quiet empty as it was almost closing time

Suddenly Masooma stopped and turned towards him with fake tears "Percy go see for yourself what your girlfriend is doing"

Percy scoffed and peaked his head towards the right and what he saw shocked him.

There stood Annabeth punching a boy repeatedly until blood seemed to come out. Percy's eyes widened and he soon rushed towards his girlfriend before she committed a murder.

"I knew you would be shocked. I am sorry you had to witness Annabeth kissing and cheating" Masooma said turning but soon found out that she was talking to air.

She looked sideways at the direction Percy went to see a broken Joe on the floor.

What happened?

Percy tightly held Annabeth not allowing her to move. He hummed and rocked her body sideways trying to calm the daughter of Athena.

Annabeth closed her eyes and finally let go of the fury that was flowing through her veins. 

"I love you" Percy whispered and kissed her forehead "Now tell me what happened"

"That stupid Mortal tried to force himself on me" Annabeth said glaring at the broken boy 

"Well he is lucky that I reached at the right time" Percy said chuckling having no sympathy to the mortal

"Masooma" Annabeth called coldly "I know you planned all of this"

Masooma looked at Annabeth with wide eyes "Annie I would never-"

"Don't lie you knew that guy was going to kiss Annabeth and that is why you brought me here right?"

"Fine I admit it. I planned the entire thing. I love Percy and I wanted him" She said angrily while Percy scoffed and said "Believe me girl I am not the right choice for you!"

"Percy lets just go" Annabeth said tiredly "I want some Ambrosia"

"Right away Beth" Percy said and helped Annabeth stand 

"There are plenty of fish in the sea, go choose someone else Masooma because this fish is mine" Annabeth said almost growling while Percy just smiled 

Masooma hung her head low, ashamed from what she did, but her feelings for Percy were still strong.

What was she gonna do...
