Charity's POV

"Did you get any boyfriend girl???" My mother asked as she scrolled through her phone

"No mom I am not like my sister" I said rolling my eyes 

She scoffed and turned towards me from the front seat as my father drove the car ignoring us completely.

"What do you mean that your not like your sister, Charity?"

I glanced at my older 19 year old sister and was glad to see that she was too busy listening to her disgusting music to pay any attention to us. 

"I am not a slut like her" I said sweetly and my mother gaped at me 

"Your sister is not a slut"

"Oh the what do you call a girl who keeps on changing her partners like they are channels on the TV?" I asked smirking 

My mother rolled her eyes and replied "You are too nerdy. That is the problem, Learn something form your sister!" 

What should I learn from her?

How to do makeup? or how to act like a total idiot? or how to open you legs 24/7 like McDonalds?

Gross! 

Wait. Did my mother just call me a nerd?

"Mom did you call me a nerd?" I asked loudly

She scoffed and said "Yeah because your a nerd!"

"Excuse me mother I am just an intellectual badass who has more common sense than you other daughter will ever have"

Before my mother could reply, my sister Amie spoke up

"Sweetie your ugly and you should accept that" She said applying tons of bright red lipstick

I rolled my eyes and replied "I am sure 90% of your so called beauty can be wiped by a Kleenex"

My sister looked at me with widened eyes and went back to chatting with her hundredth boyfriend. I groaned feeling suffocated with sitting close to my weird family. 

Suddenly the car started making weird noises which was in one way more bearable than talking to my mother and sister.

"What is this awful noise?" My mother asked dramatically while me and my father just ignored her.

"Charity I think there is a problem in the car, Can you search for any nearby garages?" Dad said stopping the car.

i was about to open my phone when my sister shouted "Daddy there is a shop right beside us"

I looked towards my right to see a repair shop called 'Leo & Calypso's Repair' 

"Dad lets go ask if they can fix this car" I said and  my dad nodded while both my mother and sister started fixing their makeup and hair.

I scoffed and walked towards the shop with dad following me.

"Hello?" Dad said loudly and immediately an average sized guy in his early twenties with dark hair and brown eyes walked in wearing a greasy clothed and a toolbelt rapped around his waist.

"Oh hello customers. Welcome to this happy place, Leo Valdez at your service." He said with a mock bow and a bright smile 

My father and I greeted him back while my mother and Amie walked in with a disgusting expression on their faces. 

"Why is this shop filled with such a foul smell?" Amie whined crinkling her nose

Leo rolled his eyes and replied "Were you looking for a perfume shop? Then please you have come to the wrong place!"

"Leo who is there?" a melodic voice came from the inside and in walked a beautiful lady with braided caramel hair and almond eyes.

"Oh Calyy its just new M customers" (M = Mortal)

"Oh are they the usual piece?" She asked kissing his cheek

"Yeah" Leo said as if in a daze.

"What do you mean by the usual piece?" My mom asked nosily "And who is she?"

"Sorry Madam but that's none of your business" Leo said sharply and then turned towards Dad

"Um Sir can you guide me towards your car?" 

Dad nodded and they both left leaving me with a scowling mom, whiny bitchy Amie and  a calm Caly or whatever her name is.

"Mom this place is so contaminated that its bad for my skin" Amie said childishly 

"Hello there I am Calypso, wife of Leo. Do you want water?" She asked Amie

"No some soda or wine would be nice" 

"Sweetie your in a Garage stop acting as if you've come to a shopping mall" Calypso said sternly

"Excuse me bitch how old are you to act so stern around me?" Amie asked shrieking

"Physically 32 and mentally about a ten thousand years?" She said with a sweet smile

"What?" My mother said gasping 

"I was joking" She said smiling but suddenly turned serious and whispered "Or were I?"

"She is crazy" Amie said shivering 

"Better than being stupid like you" Calypso said smirking

"Mom lets go from here, I don't like this shop" Amie said frowning 

"No problem sweetie, not everyone has a good taste" Calypso said huffing while Dad and Leo returned. They both had a wide smile on their face. 

"Caly Mr. Prior has agreed to give me the crucial piece I wanted to complete that gift for Jay." Leo said excitedly jumping here and there 

(Remember Jay Valdez? The person Emma Jackson had a crush on? from stupid Mortal's Meet demigods?) 

"That's great Leo!" Calypso said smiling brightly and Leo pecked her lips softly getting excited as well. 

"Dad is the car fixed?" I asked sighing

"Yeah, Leo is a genius. He was very quick in doing it and also asked only a reasonable fees"

"That's great! Thank you Leo" I said smiling loving both the guy and his wife as they were thousand times better than my mother and sister. 

"Your welcome!" Leo said bowing and grinning widely 

"Also you can come back here anytime and it would be great if you don't bring those two" Calypso said pointing to mother and Amie

"Yeah I know they are not easy to handle" Dad said smiling

"Are you coming?!!!!!" Mother shrieked and my father groaned "I have to go, see you later Mr. Valdez" 

As I was going a hand suddenly grabbed my arm. I turned to see Calypso looking at me seriously "What was your name?"

"Charity Prior" I said politely

"I can see that you and your father are clearly suffering. Want me to end your suffering?" 

"Yes but how?" I asked desperately 

"Take this" Calypso said and gave me two small round pink box 

"What is this?" 

"That is a secret. Trust me and just give this to your mother and sister." Calypso said with a mischievous smile. 

(Living with Leo has its side effects......😉)

"Okay Mrs. Valdez" I said smiling widely and rushed back to the car

As soon as we started our journey I announced loudly "Mom and Amie, I want to tell you that you guys are awesome and I was wrong. I agree that I should indeed change my nerdy style and become more broad minded like you. Please accept my apology and help me change"

Mother beamed at me while Amie smirked "Good that you have come back to your senses" 

"As an act of apology please accept this" I said innocently.

They both nodded and took the pink box. 

I held my breath and tried to calm my beating heart, wondering if Calypso could really help.

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted my a loud blast.

The car abruptly stopped and I heard loud screams of terror. 

I swiftly turned towards my mother and sister to see that they both had clean faces with zero makeup and were looking scarier than monsters. Also the additional bonus fact was that no matter how much they tried to apply lipstick or any other thing it never got applied. 

I smiled surprised not understanding what kind of magic I was witnessing but indeed had saved my life.

I thanked the supernatural powers above that made me meet Leo and Calypso.

Because they had helped me teach a rightful lesson to my mother and Amie.

And I never regretted meeting Caleo since then!!!!!
