A Broken Balloon
BB was sitting in the pizzeria that he worked at. He was an entertainer and sold balloons in his freetime. Usually he and Mari would do their dances together, but today Mari didn't show up. BB sighed and gently flicked his straw wrapper at the cashier by the name of Foxy. "OI, laddy, can ye stop flickin yer straws at me?" He asked annoyedly. BB sighed and mumbled an apology. "So whats been eatin at ye?" Foxy asked, placing his elbows on the counter.
BB looked up and puffed out his cheeks. "Mari stood me up and now he wont even answer me!" He whined.
"Aye, that be a problem." Foxy commented. BB sighed and gripped his jeans, he teared up. "Whoa.. It was ye're anniversary, wasn't it?" Foxy asked. BB nodded, not answering. He and Mari weren't married, but they still have anniversaries for every year they've been together. This was their fourth year together. "Well.. I don't know much about relationships.. Except the fact that I love me a Chica." Foxy mused with hearts in his eyes.
BB giggled lightly. "Yeah.. Well, bye Foxy. I'm going home.." He said. Foxy nodded and waved him goodbye. BB left the diner and started to walk home.
*****
"BB-chan, I'm home!" Mari called, stepping into their apartment. He didn't hear a reply from his small lover. "BB-chan?" He asked. He took off his hood and mask, hanging them off a hook, revealing his silver her hair and red eyes. He begun to grow worried and walked to the living room and saw BB sitting there with his iPod in his hands. "BB-chan? I've been calling for you." Mari said softly.
BB didn't answer and kept scrolling through his feed. "Hmph, stupid people." He muttered to something on the screen.
Mari have him a hurt look before sitting beside him. He tried to grab BB's shoulder but BB shrugged him off. "BB-chan. Why are you acting like this?" He asked, irritation growing in his voice.
BB turned off the iPod and shot Mari a glare. "Gee, I wonder why??" He retorted and stood up abruptly.
Mari stood up too. He grabbed BB's shoulder and forced him to face him. "BB-chan, tell me whats wrong!" He demanded.
BB faced him, tears running down his cheeks. "Wh-Whats wrong? Whats wrong it th-that you couldn't even bother to sh-show up to our date!!" He cried, trying to wipe his tears.
Mari's eyes widened. "Oh BB.. I'm... I'm.." He started.
"You're what? S-Sorry?! I was wa-waiting at the diner f-for two h-hours!!" BB declared, his bubbly face turning pink from crying too hard.
Mari sighed and gently wrapped his arms around BB's small frame. "I'm sorry BB.. There was a reason why I didn't show up." He said softly.
BB sniffled and looked up. "Wh-What is it?" He asked quietly. Mari smiled and wiped BB's tears with his thumb. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a small black velvet box. BB's eyes widened as Mari got on one knee. "M-Mari, what are yo-"
"BB-chan. Will you marry me?" Mari asked, opening the box and revealing a small blue diamond.
BB teared up again and he threw himself at Mari. "Yes! Of c-course you dummy!!" He sobbed.
Mari laughed and hugged BB close. "Thank goodness.." He murmured softly.
BB started to cry softly and nuzzled his cheek in Mari's neck. "Y-You dummy.." He sobbed with a small smile.
Mari laughed. "Well.. I'm your dummy." He murmured softly in BB's ear.
BB giggled and pulled back to stare at the ring. "Its so pretty.." He cooed.
Mari grinned. "I'm glad. Thats why I was late. They got your size wrong so I had to get it resized and I lost track of time." He explained.
BB bowed. "I'm sorry.." He murmured.
"Its fine. I love you anyway." Mari mused.
BB grinned. "I love you too."
