TWENTY-FIVE

When we stepped out on the sidewalk in front of The Leaky Cauldron, Fred squeezed my hand.

"The restaurant's this way," he said as he gestured to our right.

I raised my eyebrows. "Wait, you've already planned this?"

Fred smiled proudly. "Of course I did. This is going to be a fantastic date. Plus, I had to get reservations for the restaurant."

"Fred, this isn't too expensive, is it?" I asked. Things were going just fine at the shop but I didn't want him to spend more money than he had to.

He shook his head. "No, this isn't one of those restaurants where everyone wears suits and dresses. It's just really popular."

I breathed a sigh of relief in my head. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!"

Fred chuckled. "All right! Just follow me!"

I grinned at him as he grabbed my hand and led me through the throngs of people on the sidewalk. I looked around, I mean who knew muggle London could be so... fascinating? Great, now I'm sounding like Arthur. But it's true! All the shops, restaurants, cafés, the traffic! It was as busy as Diagon Alley!

In case you can't tell, I still find the muggle world interesting after all these years. I was so engrossed in looking around that I didn't notice when Fred came to a stop, therefore I crashed into him.

I was about to fall flat on my butt when a strong hand grabbed mine and pulled me back up. By now, I had gotten used to the feel of Fred's hands, so I easily recognized that it was him who had saved me from falling and embarrassing myself.

I looked up at him and smiled shyly. He simply grinned back and said, "Here's the restaurant," as he gestured to the brick building behind us.

As Fred pulled me back up so that I was standing, I surveyed the building. It was brick, two stories, and looked like a modern restaurant.

Fred led me inside and went up to the hostess. "Reservations for Weasley," he told the bubbly brunette who was, not so subtly, shoving her boobs in his face.

Either Fred didn't notice her pathetic attempt at seducing him or didn't care, because he gave no sign that he was even remotely interested in the girl. That made me happy, knowing that I could trust him, even if girls were throwing themselves at him.

The brunette, not giving up in her attempt to steal my boyfriend, smiled and looked at a piece of paper. "Yes, right this way, sir," she said as she looked up at him and flirtatiously batted her eyelashes at him.

Fred laced his fingers with mine and we followed the girl.

I looked around as we walked to the table. It was a nice restaurant, as Fred said, but it didn't scream sophistication. It was perfect.

Once we got to the table, the girl sat our menus on the table and turned back around to face us. She looked down to Fred and I's intertwined fingers and I saw the look of anger flash in her eyes and a scowl make it's way onto her lips for a second before it disappeared.

"Your waitress will be with you in a moment!" She said bubbily. The bitch.

Fred and I sat down across from each other. "Did you notice that woman trying to seduce you?" I asked with a smirk.

He looked innocently up at me. "She was?"

I nodded.

"Oh. I guess I didn't notice because I only have eyes for you."

A blush crept its way to my cheeks. "You are so cheesy."

He smirked. "Only for you, love."

There I go again with the blushing. What is this boy doing to me?

Before long the waitress came back and took our orders. Thankfully, this one didn't try to seduce my boyfriend.

The meal passed smoothly after that. Before long we were ready to go.

Fred led me through the restaurant and out to the street. He spun me into him and I looked up at him.

He kissed me. The kiss lasted a few seconds, but that was fine with me since we were in public.

He grinned at me and pulled me along to the movie theater. He paid for tickets for the current romance movie that was out. I smiled at him and followed him in.

We sat down and he wrapped his arm around my shoulders as I leaned into him.

After the movie was done, Fred took me on a walk around the park. We mostly walked in comfortable silence, which was fine with me.

Everyone needs someone they can have comfortable silence with. Silence is good. Silence is great.

We walked with our hands intertwined and my head resting on his shoulder.

Somehow we ended back up in the flat. Instead of going to our own separate bedrooms, Fred dragged me to his.

He gave me one of his shirts to change into, which I did gladly.

Once I stepped out of his bathroom, he walked over and captured my lips with his in a passionate kiss.

He pulled away first. "Elle, I have to tell you something."
