~Akane~

Rin and Jaken were playing tongue twisters as we travelled "Akane your turn"Rin smiled at me, i don't remember agreeing to this at any point but i'll do it to please Rin "Hmm, i know, how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? He would chuck, he would, as much as he could and chuck as much as a woodchuck would if a woodchuck could chuck wood"i said knowing that one from the future.

Rin then tried repeating it but failed a few times before finally getting it "That's a good one Akane, where did you hear it?"she asked "I just came up with it"i told her, Sesshomaru and i came to a stop hearing a distant flute, it was an awfully flat tune though, i hated it.

A woman walked out of the fog playing the flute, she knelt infront of Sesshomaru "It's been quite some time lord Sesshomaru"she said, how does she know him? "Who are you? an acquaintance of my master?"Jaken asked "Forgive me i am Sara, i'm from Osano castle do you not remember?""the woman asked Sesshomaru.

I glanced at him, it seems whatever happened he doesn't remember and i wasn't getting the feeling of jealousy as i do whenever Kagura speaks to Sesshomaru, huh maybe i'm not as possessive as i thought, i zoned back in from my train of thought listening as this Sara explained what had happened and how she met Sesshomaru.

"Lord Sesshomaru"Sara said having finished her story "I don't know you"Sesshomaru simply said before walking off "Please don't go, i want to do what i can to make your wish come true" Sara said "Help me? You?"Sesshomaru asked her "Yes and when i get what you desire i only ask you acknowledge my feelings for you"she said and i glared at her, this is your first warning.

 Jaken yelled at this Sara but Sesshomaru told him to leave her alone, now i glared at him we will talk about this later "I will fulfil your wish no matter what it takes"Sara said "As you wish" Sesshomaru said and Sara walked off, i went over to Sesshomaru still glaring at him "You defended her why?"i asked "I did not, i only said that so Jaken would shut up"he said.

I narrowed my glare further but decided to drop it, for now, anyway we continued on our search for Naraku, i was puzzled though by the scent that Sara person had, she didn't smell quite human or like a demon not even like a half demon, quite the puzzle indeed.

Sesshomaru had gone on ahead towards the scent of that woman though after telling Rin to stay put i was close behind, i got there in time to see Sesshomaru attacking the woman though i continued to watch from a distance, Sara knelt offering the Tessaiga to Sesshomaru saying for him to slay Inuyasha with it "You're under the wrong impression, did you truly believe this is what i desired? For you to steal his sword for me?"Sesshomaru asked.

"Then you do not?"Sara asked "I will not accept help defeating Inuyasha especially not from someone like you"Sesshomaru said, i for one was glad to hear that it meant Sesshomaru truly had no interest in this woman, Sesshomaru then disappeared in a ball of light, i followed after him.

However Sesshomaru didn't go back to Rin like i thought he would have instead he went to the nearby woods "Sesshomaru? Why are we here? What's so special about this place?"i asked following him and running into him as he suddenly stopped infront of a massive tree "This is where i recovered after Inuyasha chopped off my arm"he said.

Sesshomaru then told me what he had remembered of this place after which that Sara woman appeared again "Do you remember now?"she asked "On that day so long ago you leaned against that tree recovering from your injuries, its still so vivid i will never forget the sight of you that day i had never seen anyone as handsome as you and i gazed at you for a long long time"she said.

I glared at her, this is your second warning, one more and you're dead, Sara then told her side of the story "The sound of a flute, i thought i heard a flute that day"Sesshomaru said remembering the rest of the story, come to think of it Sara has a flute on her and she was playing it earlier, if you can call that horrible flat tune playing.

Sara went over to the tree sitting on in as she played that same flat tune she did when we first met, well when i first met her since she had already met Sesshomaru, i couldn't stand it, i looked at Sesshomaru, he was deep in thought, Sara then told us that her father had burnt the castle down in a fit of madness.

Sara continued to tell us her life story but honestly i wasn't paying attention to it and Sesshomaru didn't seem to be paying attention either, "Lord Sesshomaru please acknowledge all that i have done for you"Sara said once done with her story offering the Tessaiga to Sesshomaru once again "Ha, so that is your true form is it?"Sesshomaru asked looking over to the woman.

"True form what can you possibly mean by that lord Sesshomaru?"Sara asked, then all of the sudden Inuyasha appeared, though i had caught his scent approaching us so it wasn't a surprise "There you are wench"he said and went to attack the woman but Sesshomaru quickly drew Tokijin slashing at him, Inuyasha just barely dodged getting a cut on his shoulder"It figures, so you're gonna get in the way are you Sesshomaru?"he asked.

"Don't lay a finger on her, she's none of your concern Inuyasha"Sesshomaru said, i glared at Sesshomaru again i mean i figured he meant that he was the one who would kill Sara but still, "That's what you think i'm gonna get my Tessaiga back"Inuyasha said attacking once again, Sesshomaru easily blocked it, though one of them went stray and hit Sara releasing a few demons out of her body.

"Curse you Inuyasha i will send you to your death"Sara said but Sesshomaru stepped infront of his brother, i just continued watching from the side, i seem to do that a lot don't i? just watch from the side lines, well it's not like i can't jump in and play a bigger part i just don't want to, besides Sesshomaru will get mad at me if i interfere in his fights anyway.

"I've seen enough of your disgusting form woman"Sesshomaru said before attacking Sara slicing her in half releasing the demons "Damn you Sesshomaru, you've exposed us"one of the demons said "Your disguise didn't fool me"Sesshomaru said slicing up the demons, a few of them came over my way but i sliced them up one after the other.

As i fought i got the feeling, having one sword to fight with just wasn't natural, then i remembered, i always fought with two swords in the past as well, maybe i'll get Totosai to make another one, yes i think i'll do that, anyway i zoned back in to see Kagome and the others join in.

"This woman's spiritual energy has become our power and once we absorb your demonic power we will become the most powerful demon of all"the demon said, "Ha nothing but trash" Sesshomaru said, then Sara's spirit or something appeared, seems she wasn't completely taken over, not yet anyway.

Sara asked Sesshomaru to destroy her, that'll be simple enough for Sesshomaru, though the demon revealed the Tokijin was only giving them more power so Sesshomaru cut off the demon holding Tessaiga which landed near him, he grabbed it despite the barrier and with its power easily destroyed every last demon hold up in Sara's body.

Sesshomaru then tossed the Tessaiga back to Inuyasha, i ran over to Sesshomaru and had a look at his hand, it was badly burnt from the Tessaiga's barrier it'll take a while to heal even with his power, Sesshomaru shrugged me off walking over to the Sara's body which was turning to ash, he picked up her flute and put it on the pile of ash once she was gone.

I caught up to Sesshomaru as he walked off "You knew she was being controlled by demons yet you protected her from Inuyasha"i said a growl in the back of my throat "I only did it because i wanted to finish her off myself"he said "Of course i knew that but still"i trailed off "What?"he asked glancing at me "I can't help but wonder if you had compassion for her"i said, he scoffed "Don't be silly"he said and took off flying.

I sighed and went after him and caught up "I wonder about that"i told him before going on ahead, the sun was setting as we got back to where Rin and Jaken were with A-Un, i was a bit huffy muttering to myself ignoring Sesshomaru behind me still mad at him, what for i wasn't sure i just knew i wasn't going to let him near me for at least a week.
