~Third~

This tale begins long ago on a snowy beach, an injured dog demon stands in his human form, this is Toga, aka Inu no Taisho, behind him his son Sesshomaru and his greatest friend and fiercest rival Shiranui, Akane's father "Father do you insist on going?"Sesshomaru asked his father "Do you intend to stop me Sesshomaru?"Toga asked his son "I will not stand in your way" Sesshomaru said "And what of you Shiranui?"Toga asked glancing back at his friend "No, though i will say, i told you that woman was nothing but trouble"Shiranui said.

Shiranui, a man looking like in his 30's or 40's like Toga, he too was a great dog demon, he had blood red marks across his eyes and on his cheek bones and a swirl pattern on his forehead, his left eye had a deep scar on it, Toga chuckled at his friend "That you did"he said.

"Father i ask that you leave Tessaiga and So'unga with me"Sesshomaru said switching the tone back to more of a grim one "And if i refuse will you kill me?Your own father?"Toga asked, Sesshomaru did not reply as the wind blew across them "Do you desire power so much? Why do you seek power my son?"Toga asked.

"The path i walk is the way of supreme conquest and it is power that will reveal the way for me" Sesshomaru said "Supreme conquest? Tell me Sesshomaru have you someone to protect? someone like Akane?"Toga asked, Shiranui looked at Sesshomaru interested to hear his answer as well "Protect? Akane? the answer is no, i Sesshomaru have no need for such"he said, Shiranui glared at the younger demon 'Arrogant little pup' he thought looking back over to Toga as the dog general called to him "Shiranui, i leave my lands to you until Sesshomaru learns to protect" he said before taking his true form and taking off.

"That's that then"Shiranui said walking away "Are you really not going? He will die if you don't" Sesshomaru said "Concerned Sesshomaru? If so, you should go yourself, i have no obligation to save that fool"he said before turning to his true form, a massive dog the same as Toga, before taking off as well.

Two hundred years, give or take had passed since that night, Inuyasha a boy born of a demon and a human was travelling with his friends Kagome, Shippo, Miroku and Sango in search of the shards of the sacred jewel and Naraku, an evil demon.

Today though, in the future, as Inuyasha was walking Kagome back home a sword came flying at them "Finally its calmed down"a voice said "What's that?"Inuyasha asked "Well well if it isn't Tessaiga it's been a long time"the voice said "Who are you?"Inuyasha asked "You wouldn't happen to be Inuyasha?"the voice asked.

"I don't make a habit of talking to swords okay"Inuyasha said, the voice laughed "Well i don't blame you for not remembering after all you were a newborn the last time we met, i am the ancient one Saya, your father wielded this sword the So'unga, the sword of the honorable ruler and i am its sheathe"the floating spirit thing said.

"My father?"Inuyasha asked "Oh no its acting up again"Saya said as the So'unga tried to free itself "Move quickly Inuyasha, take hold of So'unga or a great catastrophe will fall these lands" Saya urged him "Why should i take orders from you?"Inuyasha asked before the sword freed itself.

As soon as the sword touched the ground everything around it fell to ruin, buildings collapsed and anything living died instantly, "What is this?"Inuyasha asked "This is the future of this land which So'unga will undoubtedly bring"Saya said "This is the future?"Kagome asked "So'ungas frightening power will darken the skies and cause the lands to decay many people will die"Saya said.

"What can we do to prevent this from happening?"Kagome asked "You must take So'unga and leave this land but be warned a human must never wield the sword"Saya told them "And if a human did take hold of it?"Kagome asked.

"It would be certain doom, anyone holding So'unga would go on a killing spree and won't stop until every other human is dead no matter how long it will take, it is well known humans are more arrogant and greedy then any other creature when a human holds the So'unga they become more malevolent then any demon"Saya said.

"I'll have to do it, i'll put the sword back in its sheathe"Inuyasha said walking over to the sword "Inuyasha, please be careful"Kagome called, Inuyasha grabbed So'unga and managed to pull it out of the ground dispelling the illusion around them.

Kagome went over to him but Inuyasha told her to stay away as the sword was over powering the half demon driving purple vine looking things into his hand, Inuyasha managed to fight it back for now and headed to the well taking it back in time.

~in the past~

Just as Inuyasha crossed over a light appeared from the well, Tenseiga trembled prompting Sesshomaru its master look back and he smiled seeing the light, Akane had a chill running down her spine though looking at the light 'What is this feeling of dread?' she thought, elsewhere Shiranui, now looking like in his early 50's hummed looking towards the barely visible light "So'unga, no doubt about it"he muttered before taking off towards the light.

Back at the well Inuyasha attacked Shippo but he wasn't totally in control of himself, Inuyasha headed to the village where Miroku and Sango came across him "What happened to him?"Miroku wondered "That sword, it's So'unga it belonged to his father"Myoga said.

Kirara transformed but a baby crying distracted Inuyasha and his possed mind went to kill that instead but Inuyasha managed to fight it off by injuring himself, Miroku took away the mother and her baby to safety before Inuyasha came barreling out of the house, he told his friends to get away before his mind was over taken again and So'unga forced him to use the Dragon Twister.

An attack that destroyed anything in its path the attack of a dragon from hell that was even more destructive then the backlash wave at least according to Myoga, the others decided to wait for Kagome.

Kagome arrived in the past the next morning and saw the destruction the dragon twister had caused, the group met up with Sango and they decided to follow the path the attack had made, meanwhile Inuyasha was walking through the path of destruction when he came across broken statues.

The statues then broke releasing oni which attacked Inuyasha, the So'unga repossessed him and Inuyasha easily killed the oni, elsewhere Jaken was begging his master Sesshomaru to slow down, next to Sesshomaru walked Akane as usual, neither of the demons responded to Jaken lost in thought.

Kagome and the others came across the slain oni, Miroku and Sango went to have a closer look when the oni sprang back to life because of So'ungas power to make slaves out of the dead.

The group fought the oni successfully destroying them, Kagome went on ahead to find Inuyasha, speaking off Inuyasha Sesshomaru, with Akane in tow had found where his younger brother was "So Inuyasha it is you"Sesshomaru said "How did someone like you come to possess So'unga? Don't tell me another one of fathers sword chose you as it master"Sesshomaru said.

"I don't think so, just look at his arm"Akane said pointing out how Inuyasha's arm was covered in purple vine looking things "I'll gladly give this to you if you want it so badly, it looks like you'll have to take it by force though"Inuyasha said, Sesshomaru drew Tokijin and Akane drew her sword since Sesshomaru didn't tell her to back off.

"That was my intention all along"Sesshomaru said, the three had a stand off before Sesshomaru went straight at Inuyasha and the brothers clashed while Akane watched for her chance to strike "You are not fit to wield So'unga or the Tessaiga i despise the fact that my fathers blood flows through your veins half breed!"Sesshomaru said knocking Inuyasha back.

Akane took her chance her sword extending the distance between her and Inuyasha in a flash of light piercing the half demon before going back to its normal size just as quickly as Sesshomaru then swung Tokijin at Inuyasha "I don't care!"Inuyasha said and the brothers clashed again and so they fought with Akane jumping in and attacking Inuyasha whenever Sesshomaru wasn't.

Meanwhile as Kagome rode her bike she came across Totosai the great swordsmith who forges demon swords, Totosai and Myoga explained to her that the only one who could wield So'unga without it taking over was probably Sesshomaru, completely forgetting about Shiranui who had been Toga's equal in every way.

Over the cliff where Akane and Sesshomaru had driven Inuyasha to the brothers clashed again, So'unga took over Inuyasha and was actually pushing back Sesshomaru, the sword spoke to him taunting him "Silence!"Sesshomaru yelled, Akane jumped back guessing what he'd do next, Sesshomaru grabbed the Tessaiga and used the wind scar.

Sesshomaru dropped the Tessaiga falling to his knees gasping from the pain the barrier around the sword had caused "Sesshomaru!"Akane called running over to him and checking on his hand but then Inuyasha went after Rin and Jaken, Akane grabbed the Tessaiga, it transformed as she jumped over and clashed with Inuyasha "Don't you dare go even near her"she growled.

Inuyasha growled pushing Akane back as well, Sesshomaru was rushing in ready to strike with his poison claws when Kagome called "Sit boy! Sit!" to Inuyasha, the beads of subjugation brought Inuyasha down with a mighty thud as the So'unga freed itself and flew off somewhere, Akane had a feeling it wasn't over yet though.

Sesshomaru picked up the Tokijin putting his sword back in his belt as Akane put hers back in it sheathe before walking over to Inuyasha "Here"she said handing the Tessaiga back to him "Aren't you going to give this to Sesshomaru?"Inuyasha asked putting the Tessaiga to it sheathe "He'll take it with his own power one of these day"she said before walking over to Sesshomaru.

"I'll destroy So'unga i don't want any interference from you"Inuyasha told her and Sesshomaru "You lack what it takes"Sesshomaru said "What?"Inuyasha asked "You should be grateful to the girl for saving you"Sesshomaru said before he and Akane continued their way.

An oni had found So'unga and taken hold of it, So'unga easily took control though and went to the other world getting a certain limb of a certain someone who had it chopped off there, So'unga then took the oni to a grave and revived the man buried in it, Takemaru of Setsuna, a man who had fought and died because of the dog general, though he had managed to take the great dog demon down with him mostly because Toga hadn't healed from his fight with Ryokotsei and the fire that had consumed them both.

Meanwhile as Kagome lay unconscious Myoga told the rest of So'unga's frightful power "In ages past countless men sought to be the supreme ruler of this world they searched for the So'unga, possed it and killed each other the one who stopped the senseless cycle"Myoga was cut off "The one who ended it was Inuyasha's father i assume?"Miroku asked "Yes"Myoga replied.

"He didn't do it alone you know"a voice said, the others gasped before getting ready to fight as the man with grayish white hair and red markings on his face walked over, this man was clearly a demon "Father what are you doing here?"Akane asked having been left behind by Sesshomaru as well.

"Father?"the others except Myoga, Totosai and Saya muttered "I caught scent of So'unga, though your is what brought me here, care to fill me in?"Akane's father Shiranui asked casually sitting next to his daughter, the others quickly filled him in "I see"he muttered before Kagome woke up asked about Inuyasha, Jaken made a comment and Kagome replied back saying Sesshomaru had left them.

Jaken denied it and said they would go after him but Rin insisted on thanking Kagome and handed Kagome the beads of Subjugation which Rin had gathered up all the while Akane and her father were catching up "Tell me what was So'unga doing in our family shrine in the first place?"Kagome asked.

Myoga then told the story of two hundred years ago, just after Toga had died.

~flashback~

As Myoga Totosai and Saya were gathered a fourth joined them with the rain bouncing off his armor "Sir Shiranui" they greeted, Shiranui nodded his head looking at So'unga "So anyway Myoga did you dispose of the Tessaiga like the great dog demon had asked?"Totosai asked ignoring the low growl from Shiranui.

"Of course i did i placed it in the masters remains and hid the path in the black pearl"Myoga said before blowing his nose "And i made sure Tenseiga was passed along to Sesshomaru"Totosai said "You didn't give it to him yourself?"Myoga asked "If i lived so dangerously i wouldn't have made it to this ripe old age"Totosai said "Then Saya are you sure the master didn't leave any instructions for So'unga?"Myoga asked "No only Tessaiga and Tenseiga"Saya said "I could take it"Shiranui said.

~end of flashback~

Myoga paused in his story to explain further about the swords "So what happened next?" Kagome asked "These three didn't think their precious master would of wanted for me to hold onto the So'unga, to be perfectly frank i'm still pissed off about it, Toga wasn't the only great dog demon you know! Our score was left even!"he yelled a growl in the back of his throat "Now now father, you always get so worked up when it comes to him"Akane said and her father calmed down with a huff, Myoga then continued the story "We didn't know what to do with the So'unga"

~flashback~

"I don't think the master would of wanted you to have it"Myoga said "WHAT?!"Shiranui barked his eyes flashing red, the three cowered "You morons are so damn loyal! Toga and i were equals, i can handle the So'unga, so what's the problem?"he asked with a growl, Myoga gulped "I-i-i'm sorry to say sir, but it's not that we don't think you aren't able to handle it, it's just that you're a little quick tempered"he said.

Shiranui closed his eyes calming down and turned away from them in a huff "Do as you want"he muttered before walking away "Hold on Shiranui"Totosai called and he stopped "Where did you get that scar? it's not often demons are left scarred"he said "Oh that? A parting gift from an old friend"Shiranui said before looking to the sky "Our score was left even"he said before taking off a cloud forming under him.

"Well anyway i think i can hold So'unga for at least 700 years, after that maybe it would be best if So'unga was in sir Shiranui's hands, for now throw me and the sword into the bone eaters well in the land of Musashi, i've heard the remains of demons disappear in the well"Saya said,

~end of flashback~

"That's how it came to be at the Higurashi shrine?"Kagome asked once Myoga was done with the rest of the story "Since then only two hundred years may have past in our era but i assure you beyond the well it's been longer then seven hundred years"Saya said.

"Then how come Kagome doesn't age when she passes through the well?"Shippo asked "Well the bone eaters well is swirling with demonic aura remember"Saya said "I don't think that's it" Akane said "What do you mean? What is it then?"Kagome asked.

"I think it's simply because you weren't born in this era, when i fell in to the well 42 years ago i became essentially a human but i didn't age and the same 42 years passed here and over there only plus five hundred, i didn't put much thought to it back then but now i have, i don't think it was left overs from my own demonic aura keeping me young, its just a hunch but i wasn't born in that era so that has to be the only reason i didn't age and why you don't age when you cross over, the well doesn't work in reverse thankfully so you don't just poof out of existence when you cross over, this is also just a hunch but i think it's possible you won't age as long as you're in this era, though who can say for sure"Akane shrugged.

 "Huh, i never thought about it like that"Kagome muttered before turning to Saya and asking if there was a way to defeat So'unga "Just let me have it"Shiranui said, Totosai smacked him with a hammer "Only two hundred years have passed here, wait five hundred more and you might get So'unga"he said, Shiranui glared at him "Do that again and i bite your head off"he said before letting the subject drop.

"There is a way to defeat So'unga, Tenseiga and Tessaiga, the two swords must combine their power"Saya said "So Inuyasha and Sesshomaru need to join forces"Kagome said and Jaken started laughing "Lord Sesshomaru join forces with Inuyasha? Are you crazy? Hell will freeze over before that happens"he said and the rest agreed with him.

"Well it was nice catching up Akane but it seems you won't need me since those idiots still won't let me get So'unga"Shiranui said "Alright, later"Akane said waving her father off as he left.

Inuyasha had discovered Takemaru's old grave but not long after Sesshomaru came walking over "Takemaru of Setsuna? The So'unga chose that vermin as its host?"he said more to himself "You know about him?"Inuyasha asked but Sesshomaru just glanced at him "What are you doing here? This is a human burial sight"Inuyasha said drawing Tessaiga "Just what is your connection to him?"Inuyasha asked.

"I don't have any connection to that pest, if anyone does it is you"Sesshomaru said "To me?" Inuyasha asked "You probably aren't aware, you were born ignorant and you'll live as an ignorant half demon"Sesshomaru said drawing Tokijin.

Inuyasha growled "You might as well die ignorant too"Sesshomaru said before he attacked and thus the brothers fought in the bamboo forest, their attacks collided destroying everything around them, Sesshomaru sent the backlash wave back at Inuyasha but once again failed to kill him so he walked away.

Elsewhere the others were on the move, Kagome with Totosai on his cow, Sango, Miroku and Shippo on Kirara, Rin and Jaken on A-Un and Akane was flying on her own with clouds under her feet "I don't get why Inuyasha is so obsessed over his fathers sword he never even saw the guy" Kagome said.

Miroku said it was only natural for a boy to want to surpass his father "You're right but he's already strong enough, he killed Ryokotsei, the dragon that his father couldn't"Sango said "True enough but he's not nearly as skilled or as experienced in combat, though him being a half demon is the biggest hurdle"Akane said 'For Sesshomaru its his inability to realise he surpassed his father long ago, he has to let go of his image for ultimate power, Tessaiga, before he can become a great demon in his own right' she thought.

"Go that way there's a strong demonic aura"Kagome said "I can smell it from here, So'unga has raised an army of the dead"Akane said "Can you smell Inuyasha or Sesshomaru?"Kagome asked her, she nodded "I smell them both, their both on their way to So'unga"she said "Then let's hurry"Kagome said, Saya questioned the reason why Kagome fights, Akane smirked from the side "She is fond of Inuyasha and wishes to protect him"she said.

"Wha-? Akane! I am not! Who could ever like that jerk!"Kagome yelled, Akane just smirked wider "Whatever you say"she said, after a while they landed and watched as the army of dead went on the move "That's one very large army"Totosai said "He's killed far more men then he needed to" Sango said "So'ungas doing i fear he's using the dragon twister yet again"Saya said "There's at least 2200 of them, kind of hard to tell exact numbers this scent of decay is not very pleasant" Akane said.

"Then excluding Rin, Myoga and Momo from battle there are eight of us plus three demons, that's two hundred for each of us"Miroku said "They're the walking dead though how are we going to defeat them?"Sango asked "You can destroy the demonic aura around them that would take time though"Saya said.

"Pfft, it's simple cut off the head, crush the skull tear the body to pieces, if they stop moving it won't matter if they can't die"Akane said getting a sadistic grin on her face as her demonic aura swelled "This will be fun, maybe you'll get lucky and i'll leave scraps for you weaklings"she said before taking off transforming to her true form halfway to the army and then landing crushing at least 20 under each paw.

The others sweatdropped still on the hill "Good luck Akane!"Rin cheerfully called waving to her "Well i suppose this would be fun for a demon"Miroku muttered "Not to me, i'm terrified"Shippo said nearly crying from how scared he was "Come one Shippo what are you saying, we're all gonna count on you and your fox fire"Miroku told him "Jaken we know that the demons don't like fire good luck"Shippo said.

Jaken was trembling so much it was shaking A-un but he excused it was excitement, just then it started to rain and Inuyasha appeared, the dead men attacked with spears but Inuyasha evaded them, elsewhere on the battle field Sesshomaru was making his way through, hearing a familiar roar he glanced over to see Akane in her true form and smirked a bit seeing her having the time of her life ripping the dead solders to pieces.

As the battle went on though Akane and the others were growing tired, Akane jumped over to Sesshomaru turning back to her human form and fighting back to back with him "I missed you"she said slashing another corpse down but it quickly got back up "I missed you as well" Sesshomaru said also cutting down another corpse.

The two didn't have time to focus on banter though as the dead men continued to surround them, Tokijin was wearing down so Sesshomaru put it away and fought with his hand but one of the dead men grabbed Tenseiga and blew itself up sending the sword flying, Sesshomaru was willing to accept the sword was lost grabbing Tokijin once again as Akane joined his side again having gone off to try clear a path between the dead men, she had no luck so she returned to him.

Anyway Tenseiga happened to land near Rin and she went to pick it up but was captured by a demon along with Kagome "Lord Sesshomaru, Akane, help me!"she called, the two heard her call and headed up to the castle while Inuyasha was doing the same going after Kagome.

The brothers along with Akane met up at the stairs to the castle "Sesshomaru"Inuyasha said "I'm surprised to see you here, you're lucky to be alive"Sesshomaru said slicing one corpse after the other "Shut up"Inuyasha said also slicing up corpses as he came up the stairs and stood back to back with his brother, Akane was surprised standing next to the boys keeping her back to them as she faced the corpses coming up the stairs.

"Sesshomaru when this is over we settle things for good"Inuyasha said "Assuming that you survive that is"Sesshomaru said "Not the time or place boys keep it in your pants"Akane said "Hmp just don't get killed by anyone else"Inuyasha said clearing the path with a wind scar "How's that?"he smirked but Sesshomaru ignored him running down the clearing with Akane closely behind "Hey hold it you two!"Inuyasha called "That's playing dirty Sesshomaru!" Inuyasha called.

Meanwhile in the castle Takemaru attacked Kagome and Rin after the So'unga convinced him to kill them "How dare you a real man would never his a girl like that"Rin said protecting Kagome "Go on Rin run for it"Kagome said "Don't worry Kagome lord Sesshomaru and Akane will come and save us i'm positive"Rin said trying to reassure the older girl "Resign yourself to death and enter the nether world"Takemaru said "Time to die"he said going to strike Rin with So'unga.

Sesshomaru blocked it just in time though and pushed back Takemaru "Rin!"Akane called out going over to the girl and hugging her "Akane"Rin said hugging Akane back "Thank goodness you're alright"Akane said letting the girl go "Begone you'll only be in my way here"Sesshomaru said, Akane could tell he meant her too, "He's right Rin come on lets go"Kagome said.

"Lord Sesshomaru, your sword"Rin said showing she had the Tenseiga "Hurry and go" Sesshomaru said "Right"Rin nodded, Akane bit her lip, she wanted to see the fight but knew she couldn't help here, she went over to Sesshomaru and quickly kissed his cheek "Good luck"she said "Come on Rin"she said grabbing the girl and getting out of there, Kagome followed them out.

"You're too late!"Takemaru said attacking Sesshomaru but Sesshomaru blocked his attacks "That left arm"Sesshomaru said "Oh that's right it used to be yours, you want it back i suppose?" Takemaru asked "No thanks"Sesshomaru said and so they continued to fight.

Meanwhile Inuyasha was being held back by the dead solders that was until Sango, Miroku and Shippo came over and joined him, back in the castle Takemaru laughed as Sesshomaru backed off having been disarmed from Tokijin "How is it i wonder to be killed by your own hand?" Takemaru asked "Takemaru you disappoint me"Sesshomaru said "What?"Takemaru asked "You haven't even noticed you're merely So'ungas puppet you actually believe its your own power what a miserable specter"Sesshomaru said.

"Silence you will suffer the same humiliation your father inflicted upon me!"Takemaru yelled attacking but Sesshomaru dodged and glanced towards Tokijin he went to get his sword but Takemaru cut him off, Sesshomaru surprised him though by instead going for the Tenseiga and drawing it "You should be grateful you will be destroyed by my fathers fang"Sesshomaru said.

Meanwhile Akane was piggy bagging Rin as she and Kagome ran through the castle looking for a way out "You know i could just blast our way out and fly us out of here"Akane pointed out "Yeah but do you honestly think you can carry me along with Rin?"Kagome asked "Hmm good enough point"Akane said fixing her hold on Rin "Are you calling me fat?"Kagome asked "You're the one who brought it up"Akane said.

Kagome just growled grumbling a bit as she went down some stairs before she came back up screaming as a demon jumped out, the demon attacked her making her fall down and the beads of subjugation fell off from her as she fell unconscious, Akane jumped back and let Rin off her back "Stay near Kagome"she told Rin before drawing her sword and attacking the demon.

Meanwhile on the outside of the castle Inuyasha and the rest were being overwhelmed by the dead men, Miroku told Inuyasha to go on ahead since he'd take care of the rest with his wind tunnel despite the fact that the dead men carrier poison, Inuyasha went inside the castle as Miroku used his wind tunnel sucking up all the dead men.

Back inside the castle Sesshomaru and Takemaru were still at it, their swords clashing again and again "Tell me what good is a sword that cannot kill?"Takemaru asked "Not humans but it can kill the living dead"Sesshomaru said slicing Takemaru just to prove his point, Takemaru was put back together by So'unga though and Takemaru laughed "What's the matter? Can't you even kill a corpse?"he asked.

Meanwhile as Akane was fighting the demon she clicked her tongue as the thing wasn't dead yet "This thing is tougher then i thought"she muttered going to attack again when Rin tossed some beads that had dropped from Kagome when she had been attacked earlier, the beads burnt the demon and Akane finished it off just as Kagome was coming too.

"Kagome!"Rin called "W-what happened?"Kagome asked "The demon attacked you, you fell unconscious"Akane told her "Lousy time to be a klutz"Inuyasha said coming up the stairs "Inuyasha"Kagome said going over to him "Can't do anything on your own can't you?"Inuyasha asked Kagome before turning to Akane "Thank you"he said "I feel like i've told you this a thousand times but i'll keep telling it to you until it gets through your thick skull, you should keep a closer eye on your friends"Akane told him.

"Can you please help? Lord Sesshomaru hasn't come out yet"Rin said "Showing off by himself, damn him"Inuyasha said before rushing past the girls "Wait a second!"Kagome called "Don't try to stop me i've got business to settle with So'unga and this is my only chance"Inuyasha said "Just listen to me"Kagome said "What do you want huh?"Inuyasha asked.

"There's only one way to destroy So'unga, with Tessaiga and Tenseiga those two swords have to join forces to defeat So'unga"Kagome told him "Are you serious?"Inuyasha asked "Only if you combine your backlash wave and Sesshomaru's dragon strike can So'ungas dragon twister be defeated"Saya said.

"Ha there's no way Sesshomaru would even think about cooperating with me"Inuyasha said "Just try it"Akane said "Huh?"Inuyasha asked "You need to put your pride aside and work together with Sesshomaru at least just this once, you can go back to trying to kill each other once So'unga is gone" she said, Inuyasha huffed again "That's right you're the one who need to cooperate with Sesshomaru, you're brothers just ask him for help for once in your life, just give it a try please i know you can do it"Kagome said "You've managed everytime until now"Kagome said "You all make it sound so easy"Inuyasha said before walking off.

Back in the room Sesshomaru and Takemaru were still fighting "What's wrong Sesshomaru? You're disappointing your fathers fang"Takemaru said, Sesshomaru thought back to what his father had asked him that night, that distraction was enough for Takemaru to strike him but then a wind scar came barreling down the hallway but Sesshomaru managed to dodge it.

"That's typical your nose is as sharp as ever"Inuyasha said panting a bit "You picked up the scent of my wind"Inuyasha said "Your wind is more like a gentle breeze"Sesshomaru said as Takemaru was putting himself back together "Too bad i was hoping to take you both out at the same time"Inuyasha said "Two brothers working together to avenge the death of their father don't tell me even demons have feelings"Takemaru said getting up.

"Yeah well who the hell are you to talk?"Inuyasha asked rushing at Takemaru attacking him but Takemaru easily blocked him "You look like Izayoi when i look at your face, the woman abandoned me she betrayed me to give birth to you a miserable half breed"Takemaru said "Damn you to hell!"Inuyasha yelled at him "Listen well Inuyasha if you haven't figured it out yet i am the man who sent your retched mother to hell"Takemaru said.

Sesshomaru grabbed Tokijin tossing it between the two separating them before he took Inuyasha's place locking blades with Takemaru once again, Inuyasha came back into the fight though "Stay out of my way"Sesshomaru said "No chance you're not stealing my victory this time"Inuyasha said "This is the perfect opportunity to kill both you accursed brothers at the same time"Takemaru said readying the dragon twister.

"No you don't!"Inuyasha called "You don't know when to give up!"Takemaru yelled and their swords clashed "I just don't like giving up there's a difference"Inuyasha said pushing back Takemaru "Impossible"Takemaru muttered 'How can he still have so much power?' So'unga wondered.

"You ain't seen nothing yet trust me"Inuyasha said preparing the wind scar 'It's inconceivable to a demon' the sword said "Naturally i am half demon, human are more arrogant and greedy then any other living creature and i'm part human too, that's why i refuse to give up on top of that when a human has someone to protect his power grows exponentially"Inuyasha said.

Sesshomaru thought back to his fathers words again and for a second wondered if it was the same for demons "I have what it takes to destroy you all thanks to my human mother"Inuyasha said releasing the wind scar pushing Takemaru further back, So'unga started to lose its grip on the human as he remembered what had happened before his death.

"It's over"Inuyasha said as Sesshomaru walked over, Tenseiga pulsed and he saw the nether world creatures and he sliced them away "I don't know just what you're up to but lets get this straight i'm the one who killed him"Inuyasha said.

"Look again its not over yet"Sesshomaru said as if on cue the castle started to crumble as So'unga moved on its own, Sesshomaru's chopped off arm still clinging to it, So'unga then flew off, outside the others were running away as rumble fell around them Akane would slice up any that got too close though.

So'unga opened the path to the nether world, it would consume the whole world unless stopped, so of course Kagome ran over to it "Stupid girl, Rin stay with A-Un"Akane told her before running after Kagome, they both stopped at a cliff and looked over to the countless souls below "We must hurry or your human souls will be swallowed up in no time"Saya said "But Inuyasha and Sesshomaru are still"Kagome was cut off when a gust of wind blew past her.

"What is this what's this feeling deep inside?"Kagome asked more herself "The nether world is calling to your souls"Akane explained pulling Sango back from the ledge after which Miroku grabbed Sango and told her to stay strong "Everyone gather around me"Saya said making a barrier.

"It's so cold master Jaken"Rin said, Akane walked over putting her Mokomoko-sama over the girl and hugging her close to her body "Just stay close Rin, i've got you"she said before looking over to where Sesshomaru and Inuyasha were fighting So'unga and sort of each other telling the other to get out of the way.

"You disappoint me"the sword said "A vulgar sword deserves a discarded arm"Sesshomaru retorted as lightning formed around them "You cannot wield the So'unga"the sword said "Move!"Inuyasha called pushing his brother out of the way"I'll be the one to destroy you"he told the sword and attacked.

"No good, they must attack it together or they will never defeat So'unga"Saya said, Kagome got up but Akane pushed her back down "Sit girl"she told her, Kagome gave her a weak glare as Akane went outside the barrier "Akane where are you going?!"Rin called to her "She'll be fine girl, she is a demon"Jaken told her.

Akane went to the cliff and called to the brothers telling them to work together but neither were listening to her, Akane growled a bit "Unbelievable"she muttered before aiming her sword and extending it so it hit Sesshomaru's cut off arm on the sword "Now"Inuyasha said but Sesshomaru got to it first.

The cliff below Akane started to crumble so she hopped on her cloud and watched, So'unga attacked with its dragon twister, Inuyasha tried deflecting it but was pushed back, he landed on Akane's cloud as his friends called to him worried "Damn it"Inuyasha growled and used backlash wave disrupting the dragon twister "You're not bad i'm amused"the sword said "Damn i missed him"Inuyasha muttered getting up again before jumping back to where the sword was.

Sesshomaru attacked the sword with his light whip diverting the attack towards Inuyasha, he managed to withstand it though and got back up rushing over and attacking the sword "I'll send you both to the pits of hell!"the sword yelled sending another attack at the brothers "You're in the way"Sesshomaru said pushing Inuyasha out of the way, Akane bit her lip still only watching.

Sesshomaru took the full brunt of the attack but Tenseiga protected him, the sword attacked again, Inuyasha tried stop it with the wind scar "I can't get the backlash wave to form"he said to himself in realization taking the attack, he seemed dead "Now do you realize how weak you are half demon? Sesshomaru its your turn next"the sword said.

Sesshomaru got up ready to fight again "It ain't over yet"Inuyasha said getting up "Remember i said it before i got human blood in my veins which is why i can't stand to give up"he said, the sword laughed forming another attack "This time i shall deliver the final blow, you'll fall into the pits of hell with those mortal girls!"the sword yelled referring to Rin and Kagome.

"Just try me i'll block your attack with my backlash wave"Inuyasha declared, the sword attacked with another dragon twister and Inuyasha launched the backlash wave "Fool as if your Tessaiga alone could possibly defeat me the world of mortal will be swallowed up by the nether world"the sword said 

"Shut up for once"Inuyasha said even though he was being pushed back "I have someone i have to protect and that's why i can never give up"Inuyasha said, Tenseiga trembled in Sesshomaru's grip as he thought back on his father words once again, images of Akane, Rin and even Jaken flashed in his mind, "Someone to protect?"he muttered as Inuyasha released another backlash wave "I Sesshomaru have no one to protect!"he said continuing to lie to himself unwilling to accept such weakness attacking with the dragon's wave, the two attacks combined and hit So'unga destroying the sword for good.

The cloud disappeared to where it once came, Akane flew out of there and over to Sesshomaru where Rin and Jaken also had ran, Rin returned Akane her Mokomoko-sama which she put over her shoulders again and watched as Sesshomaru turned away while the So'unga fell into the depths of hell.

There was a bright flash of light and Sesshomaru looked back with visible surprise seeing the ghostly image of his father "Sesshomaru, Inuyasha"their father spoke "You have finally found the answer, you have assured So'unga would be sealed forever in the nether world i have nothing more to teach you"he said "Father wait!" Inuyasha called before the light disappeared.

Sesshomaru turned back around and walked off once more with Akane, Rin, Jaken and A-un following him.
