~Akane~

We had arrived at the realm of fire and left Rin behind with A-Un as Kagura lead the way to the pathway that would lead to the boarder of this world and the next, i got a very bad feeling about this, i clutched onto Sesshomaru's kimono sleeve, i wasn't scared, no way, i was just nervous, yeah that's it.

"Let's go"Sesshomaru said grabbing my hand, i felt reassured by this was we went into the cave with Jaken following behind, the further we walked in the closer i stuck to Sesshomaru squeezing his hand, he squeezed back reassuringly.

Kagura eventually came to a stop saying this was as far as she would take us "I don't wanna get involved in this"she said, this is definitely a trap, i glared after Kagura as we continued walking, shortly after that we came across two statues, Sesshomaru let go of my hand and held Tenseiga, i noticed the sword tremble in his hold.

"This must be the gate that connects this world with the after life"Sesshomaru said "Do you wish to pass?"a voice asked, i noticed one of the statues eyes move "Do you wish to pass?"it repeated  "Or do you not wish to pass?"the other statue asked its eyes also moving "Of course we want to pass that's the whole reason why we came here!"Jaken yelled.

"Then you shall pass"the statues spoke but i knew it wasn't going to be easy as the statues came to life and began moving, i grabbed my sword, i have swallow my nerves and fight even though i had a feeling i wouldn't be much help, Sesshomaru drew Tokijin as i drew my sword and prepared myself to fight.

"Only the dead may pass this gate"one of the statues said "Those who wish to pass shall die at our hands"the other spoke "Hmm, interesting"Sesshomaru said and the statues attacked, i sliced the red one while Sesshomaru sliced the blue one, the statues fell down but then got back up again, i knew this wasn't going to be easy.

"It is futile"the blue one said "We cannot be slain by a sword of this world"the statue said, so they will be slain by an other worldly sword, Sesshomaru and i both noticed the Tenseiga pulse "So is that how it is?"he asked putting away Tokijin and drawing Tenseiga which glowed with light, the gates behind us opened and the statues knelled "You may pass"the blue one said "He who wields the sword of the netherworld"the red one said.

"Huh, guess Tenseiga isn't completely useless after all"i muttered, i mean i knew it could also heal but for it to hold such power over these statues impressed me "Your sword cuts down those who do not belong in this world"the blue one said "It is as we have been cut"the red one said "So you will not engage in a needless fight? Very admirable"Sesshomaru said putting Tenseiga in it sheathe and picking up Tokijin and putting that back in his belt as well.

I followed Sesshomaru into the light, those statues must have been the trap Kagura set, though they were guards of this passage so they were only doing their job, there's something i'm missing here, i tried to think back if i heard of anything like this in the future, there are many tales of people going to the netherworld and coming back alive.

I couldn't think of anything so i shrugged it off focusing on the up coming fight as i could smell Naraku, speaking off as we got a little closer Sesshomaru launched an attack aiming where Naraku's scent was coming from probably making a direct hit but as we got closer i saw Naraku had a barrier, i also noticed Inuyasha and his friends, though i smelled they were here too.

I paused a bit floating on my cloud and looked up at the giant skeleton, this was Toga, or his remains at least, i quickly paid my respects before following Sesshomaru, "Sesshomaru did you rush over to save your kid brother? and Akane i'm very glad to see you again"Naraku smirked, i growled a bit glaring at him but ignored him as i followed Sesshomaru.

Sesshomaru went over to Inuyasha and punched him, i smirked a bit glad to see that "Why you, what was that for?"Inuyasha asked "How dare you a half demon defile fathers final resting place"Sesshomaru said before going to fight Naraku, i looked at Inuyasha "You could at least pay your respects while you're here"i told him and followed Sesshomaru.

"Vermin"Sesshomaru growled at Naraku as the two had a stand off, i joined Sesshomaru at his side my sword drawn and ready to fight, Sesshomaru went in first hitting Naraku's barrier with Tokijin's power but because of that power it had no effect.

Sesshomaru jumped back and i jumped in hitting the barrier straight on causing sparks, Naraku smirked under his barrier and knocked me back, i caught myself though landing on a rock "You're stronger then Inuyasha i'll say that much for you"Naraku said.

Sesshomaru and i continued to fight Naraku despite the fact his barrier repelled us each time "Sesshomaru, Akane do you wish to destroy me that badly?"Naraku asked but neither of us replied, i did glare at him though before going back to a blank face "In that case your wish shall be granted"Naraku said sending a part of him outside the barrier.

Naraku attacked us with these but we dodged them, they continued coming after us though but we sliced them up, miasma seeped out of them though covering both of us but i wasn't too worried, both Sesshomaru and i had a high tolerance for toxins considering our own poison was acidic.

 "Ha you're deluded enough to think this pathetic miasma would have any affect on Akane and i"Sesshomaru scoffed and Naraku chuckled "No matter if it doesn't"Naraku said and glanced to where the others were "What now Sesshomaru? The miasma will increase every time you cut my body and everyone in this area will perish without fail"Naraku said regrowing his limbs "Go ahead and cover this whole place in miasma for all we care"I said slicing up his limbs increasing the miasma.

"I'm surprised Akane, i didn't take you to be so cruel"Naraku said, i didn't reply since i just knew the other would be alright, they had Inuyasha, "Naraku you will be defeated today by my own hand nothing else matters"Sesshomaru said, just then what looked like diamond spears to me pierced Naraku's barrier.

I looked over to where the others were and watched as Inuyasha launched an attack, Naraku no longer had the strength to put up a barrier so Sesshomaru moved in to finish him off, i stayed back letting him do that but Naraku wasn't dead yet.

Kagome launched an arrow hitting the shard Naraku had just taken purifying it and Naraku had disappeared, i doubted he was dead but at least he was gone from this place, anyway with him gone we had no reason to stick around and after picking up Jaken, Sesshomaru and i left floating off on our clouds.
