A special day
It was a cold and stormy evening, her favorite. She hummed happily, looking across the room, into a window, seeing the raindrops hit the mentioned window. It was quiet in the café she was in, normally, it wasn't like this, but today was a special day. She took her cup of coffee and pushed it against her lips, drinking the sweet caffeine. This was her third cup, after all, she needed all the energy she could get. She set the coffee down and got her pen, crossing out some words in her little note book, sometimes rewriting, other times adding. This when on for a little while until she finally decided she was done.
She got up, putting her note book in a black bag she had. Carefully, she made her way over to the counter, being weary of the blood still in the floor. It took her a bit, trying not to stain and leave foot prints on the ground with blood, but she finally made it to the counter. She looked into the workers dull, lifeless eyes as his head was on the counter, his body next to the others. She give it a quick smile and got herself another cup of coffee. She then turned back and started walking to the entrance if the cafe.
Once she reached the door, she looked back at the quiet place. Multiple bodies laid there, mutilated, not moving, some not even having a head. Some children where even there, too. They were spared a quick death, unlike there parents, who were missing some fingers and intestines. In the center of it all were the missing heads. They were placed in a circle, all looking towards each other, and in the center of that circle were more heads, all stacked in a totem pole like shape. Then in the counter were all the workers heads. Their teeth missing, but there eyes all in tacked. Their bodies sitting down in one if the booths, each with a plate of mushed up human. She must admit, it was quite the sight to see.
After re-evaluating her work, she gave a giggle and a bright smile, turning back to the exit and walking right out. She was going back home to see her partner and their child, after all, today's a special day
