Extended Summary:

Katya turns out to be a Grisha with unusual power. Hoping she is the mythical Sun Summoner, General Kirigan starts giving her private lessons, but after discovering his true identity she must decide whose side to take.

Beginning some time before the events featured in the Netflix show, this story ends where Season 1 does. It's based on the show, not the books, and can be read "canon blind" without knowledge of either.
