Normal-Bucky, Werewolf-Steve

"Hey, Steve, wanna go see a movie?" Bucky asks his boyfriend, tilting his head just a little as he gazes at the blonde. Steve checks the time.

"No thanks. You can catch one if you want, I'm just feeling kinda tired." Steve replies, rubbing the back of his neck. Bucky watches him, frowning a little.

"Okay. Uh, see you later then." Bucky muses, turning to leave. Steve sits quietly, he leans over his knees and puts his face in his hands, sighing. It was Friday night and a full moon, Bucky was starting to notice something. Every full moon Steve didn't go out. Now, Bucky wasn't superstitious, but he had his concerns and suspicions.

Steve hides in his room, closing the blinds and locking his bedroom door. He digs around his drawers, searching for some tape, rope, anything. He finds some tape and first binds his legs then tries to do the same to his hands. Didn't work. He gasps suddenly and keels forwards, gripping his hair tightly.

Bucky comes through their door, he hadn't been gone long. His worry for Steve brought him back.

"Steve, open up!" Bucky says loudly, pounding on the locked door. Steve was gagging, hunched forward, fur sprouting out on him. He turns and looks through the window to see Steve hunched over, clutching his head and shuddering. His mouth was wide with a scream, of course to Bucky it was muffled. He tries the door again, he sees Steve sprout a tail and muzzle.

"No way..." he whispers in awe, watching his boyfriend change into a werewolf. Steve growls and shakes out, stretching his legs out and easily breaking the tape. He howls and completely trashes his room; he scratches at the window, howling loudly. Bucky yanks his left fist back and thrusts it through the window, he unlocks the door. But he doesn't open it yet.

Steve keeps trying to escape, his chest was heaving and he howled loudly. Bucky is about to open the door when Steve give another howl and slumps against the wall, stumbling around. He slumps to the ground, shivering. Bucky sets his jaw and opens the door, he sees the blonde slowly transforming back.

"Steve." Bucky whispers, placing a hand on his shoulder. The blonde was shaking and gasping for breath. He gives a huge shudder then lies still. Bucky rolls him over, the blonde's eyes roll up into the back of his head. Eventually his eyes open and he stares at Bucky, eyes wide and scared.

"Bucky. Y-you didn't see, did you? That wasn't me, Bucky, it wasn't, it wasn't." Steve mumbles quickly, sitting up. Bucky pulls him close and hugs him, Steve shivers. The brunette wraps a blanket around his shoulders and presses a soft kiss to his temple.

"I know, baby. I know." He says softly, running his fingers through his soft blonde hair. Steve closes his eyes and swallows thickly, his breathing starting to slow to a better pace. He falls asleep, resting against the brunette. Bucky holds him closely and sighs, thinking of a way to prepare for next month.

Steve didn't mention it again, and for the sake of him, neither did Bucky. The days pass and soon it's another full moon. It was still early at night but Bucky watched Steve a little warily, readying himself for anything to come. Steve sits quietly and reads a book about dogs. Bucky sits beside him and closes his eyes when he feels Steve flinch beside him, knowing what was coming.

Steve flinches again and clenches his jaw tightly, his teeth straining against the pressure. He arches his back and a cry escapes his lips, Bucky grabs his arm and looks worried.

"Stevie, what's wrong?" He asks worriedly, Steve leans forward and grips his hair, whimpering. He cries out again and shakes his head. Bucky watches worriedly, he glances out the window and curses as he sees the full moon bright and shining into the room. Especially shining directly on Steve.

The blonde tumbles off the couch and Bucky kneels beside him, Steve starts gagging and blood spills from his lips, his chest was heaving.

"Go away, Bucky." Steve manages, his eyes squeezed shut tightly and his hands curled into fists.

"I'm not leaving you like this, Steve!" He protests, staying with him.

"I don't wanna... hurt... you." Steve pants between gagging, face pale and lips dripping red. Bucky swallows. The blonde screams in agony and Bucky feels his heart snap, but he still stays with him. The blonde was sprouting fur, now, a tail forming, legs shifting and muzzle extending. Steve lets out another scream but it sounds warped with a dog's whine, minutes later he's officially a werewolf once more.

Bucky backs up, Steve scrambles to his paws and bares his teeth at the brunette, who swallows. The capwolf lunges forwards and Bucky throws his metal arm up to protect himself, capwolf's sharp teeth scratch on the metal and Bucky winces at the awful sound. He also winces as he feels a claw scrape across his chest, leaving a large bleeding cut.

"Steve, I know you're in there. You have to fight it." Bucky huffs, trying to keep the wolf at bay with his metal arm. Steve growls and snaps at him, narrowly missing Bucky's human arm.

"Please." Bucky puffs, he meets the wolf's eyes and it freezes for just a moment. It's eyes narrow again and he lunges forward, he bites the brunette hard on the leg and the brunette yelps, he finally shoves him away. Cap growls and leaps at him, Bucky falls back against the door with Steve on his chest, his gnashing teeth inches from his face. Bucky grits his teeth and shoves him off once more.

He spots one of the syringes meant for him on the far table. The syringe meant for him, well; it was for just in case he turned into the Winter Soldier and they might've had to sedate him.

Bucky throws Steve to the side and runs to get to the needle, capwolf pounces on him and prepares to bite down on his shoulder. Bucky grabs the needle just before he falls, cap on top of him, howling loudly. There was pain in his eyes as Bucky readied the syringe.

"I'm sorry, baby." He whispers before rolling to the left and quickly jabbing the needle into capwolf's neck. His eyes go a little cloudy and he whines softly, he takes a step and stumbles, tripping over his paws and falling to the floor. Bucky takes in a breath and squats beside him, gently stroking his fur.

Steve's eyes slide shut with a whimper, Bucky swallows. He closes the blinds then sits back down, he pulls Steve's head into his lap and strokes his fur softly. The blonde trembles and sucks in a breath, then gasps a little. Bucky smoothes his hair gently. The blonde slowly changes back to normal, his eyes flicker open and he looks up to see Bucky still stroking his hair.

"Buck. You- why did you-" he whispers, confused, trying to sit up. Bucky helps him up and Steve rubs his neck, his eyes closing. Bucky sits beside him. Steve suddenly leans forward, alarm on his face and fear in his eyes.

"I hurt you, didn't I? I'm sorry, Buck, I'm sorry." Steve murmurs, still feeling kind of woozy from the syringe.

"Don't do that to yourself, Stevie, it's not your fault." He muses, wrapping an arm around the blonde.

"How're you feeling?" He asks gently, squeezing his shoulder a little, making the blonde glance over at him.

"Fine." He shrugs, Bucky sighs.

"I know a guy. I'll get you an appointment with him, okay?" He informs, Steve rests his head against his shoulder and nods tiredly, he was always so tired and worn down after a transformation.

So that's how the pair went to Dr. Strange's medical office for bizarre occasions.

"You must be Captain Rogers. I'm Dr. Strange." He introduces, shaking his hand briefly. Bucky squeezes Steve's hand and Steve squeezes back. They talk for a while until Dr. Strange figures out what to do for him. Magic.

"Just relax. I can't promise that it'll be relatively easy or painless but..." he shrugs it off. Steve swallows.

Dr. Strange instructs Steve to lie on the table and just relax, he suggests Bucky leave because it might be hard to watch. Bucky declined, though, he wanted to be there for him.

"Okay... here we go." Dr. Strange murmurs, beginning his magic. Bucky holds Steve's hand and Steve remains still, although after a while his skin broke out in a sweat. Dr. Strange paused because he knew it was going to get worse.

"You still want to be here?" He double checks with Bucky, who nods firmly. He glances at the blonde, whose eyes were flickering around underneath his eyelids. Dr. Strange takes a breath before concentrating carefully.

Steve's breath hitches and his face goes red, his hand squeezes Bucky's and the brunette smoothes a hand through his hair. The blonde murmurs something nervously and shifts a little, his head rolling to the side. He starts breathing heavily then gasping for breath. The blonde shifts and Dr. Strange frowns, losing his concentration.

"Can you keep him down, Mr. Barnes?" He asks, Bucky holds his shoulders down but Steve starts thrashing, his teeth clenching. Bucky swallows and cups his cheek lightly, Steve hums something nervously under his breath and leans into his hand. He goes still just as Dr. Strange finishes.

Bucky breathes a sigh of relief, his hand still playing with his hair. Steve looked relaxed now, his breathing even. Bucky and Dr. Strange chatted quietly as they waited for the blonde to get up, which he does eventually. He sits up and Bucky smiles at him, Steve smiles back. They thank Dr. Strange, pay him then head home. Steve was relieved that the next month he didn't turn. Bucky was glad.
