Inside the Jeon's not-so-humble abode was a family of four. Two trueblooded alphas, a beta and their youngest alpha. It wasn't a very great family to begin with, but they were respected for how high ranked their family was.

Jeon Hyujin, the father gave a reason why their family was filled with praises- as he was the succeeding son of a very wealthy alpha who had been a leader to a faithful strong pack during his own time.

He was yet a quiet, cold, and a preserved one. A type of person who would rather judge you silently than to voice it out. Though he was like this- he had never failed to show love for his pups.

Most especially to Jeon Jimin.

But how did the whole family even start? A family who held wealth, respect, and perfection- who would believe that all of this was sealed by a heavy lie?

"I am sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Jeon." The doctor sighs, rereading the test results to make sure. "But due to Mrs. Jeon being a trueblood alpha, she would have complications in terms of pregnancy." The words struck Hyujin's heart painfully. He didn't want his own kinds to end here. Not with him being the son of a respected wolf.

"Does this mean my wife couldn't bear a baby?" Hyujin still nagged to ask, and the doctor's silence still gave him an answer.

"Isn't there any other ways?" Soyeon spoke, desperation laced on her tone as she never wanted any of this to happen. "I know some of my friends still get pregnant despite of their ranks!"

"It would be close to impossible if your cell is fertilized with another alpha cell. It would result to worst pregnancy cases, and even premature births. As a girl alpha, you are ought to only take care of someone else and not your own baby." The doctor carefully explained, but this was all enough for Hyujin to hear. He stood up, not saying a word as he walks out of the office with a weird aura surrounding his presence.

Leaving Soyeon a crying mess and in pain.

"If this is the only way, then I agree to whatever you're up to." It was bad to eavesdrop, but Soyeon couldn't help it. A few days have passed and Hyujin was still the same guy to him, but this time she could feel a colder shoulder implemented towards her.

"Hyujin?" Soyeon cuts off their conversation, deciding to step in and get involved to their own matter. She was Hyujin's wife, and being left out wasn't something she was used to.

The male alpha abruptly stops speaking, but remained calm upon her appearance- as if he already knew she was there at the first place. Soyeon took this as a sign she was accepted to be in their conversation.

Her eyes lands onto the woman on the other chair, seated elegantly yet you could see that she wasn't as high class like they were. Was she a friend whom Soyeon wasn't familiar to anymore?

"Mrs. Jeon." The girl stood up and bowed as a sign of respect, sitting back down when Hyujin told her to. "Hello, nice to meet you." Soyeon managed to say, a little curious on why she was even here.

Yet she said nothing. She could only look at the two in pure silence, not wanting to be a nosy person- even if she already eavesdropped earlier. Her shoulder rose a little, tensed as Hyujin sighs.

"Soyeon, meet Jung Areum. She's just an alpha like you are." Hyujin looked a little annoyed explaining, but continued.

Though Soyeon wished he never did.

"She will be the mother of my heir. A surrogate mother, to solve everything you aren't capable of." Hyujin says, eyes looking directly to Soyeon's wide ones. "Which is giving me a family."

A pang of rejection was stabbed to Soyeon, who had been speechless for the whole time. She didn't know how to react, but she was rather hurt. She didn't want to disappoint Hyujin, but a surrogate would be okay.

But why would that surrogate be an alpha? Tears collected on her eyes, cheeks burning as she tried to conceal her emotions inside. "S-she is? I'm glad."

Areum looks back at her, noticing the sudden sadness radiating from the wolf. She badly needed money, to pay for her mate's hospital needs- but seeing the legal wife overwhelmed about the news concerned her.

"Are you sure this is fine?" She couldn't help but ask, in behalf of the alpha who was in the verge of breaking down. Yet Hyujin wasn't the guy who cared. He stood up, not sparing Soyeon a single glance.

"What we have talked about is settled. This doesn't involve sexual intercourses, and would be under a scientific way. Soyeon supports what should be done. A heir is important and that's what matters." He huffs. "Not her, nor anyone else." With heavy steps, he heads out of the room.

Soyeon trembled, looking down as tears finally ran down her eyes. She hated the love she felt towards Hyujin, a love that was never returned to her equally. It was a sign of her defeat, but it would lead to embarrassment.

The Jeon should be a perfect, loving and respected family. A family that would be a role model to everyone else, a bond that people would wish to have.

"You didn't have to ask him." Soyeon says with a shaky voice. "I would agree whatever his decision would be. I am not in the right position to change what he wants." Gathering up the courage, she wipes the excess tears away, standing up as she approached Areum who looked surprised about everything.

"I am in fact, thankful for you." She smiles, though her lips were quivering- in the verge of crying again. "So please, don't fail on us. Give Hyujin what he would want." Soyeon whispers, subconciously sobbing as she clutched her hand.

"Give us a trueblood. A male alpha, a wolf that would carry his generation with pride and not embarrassment." Soyeon sounded desperate, begging. "If you do, I'll be happy. Even if I am not capable of giving birth- it would still feel like he's my son."

Areum was speechless, silently watching the wolf who looked pained with everything- like she had been in a harsh journey.

Seeing this made her feel pity over the desperate wolf, as if she was being dragged along with a non-existent conscience.

"I will," The word slips off her lips, "I will give you an alpha, but please take care of him." She smiles, with Soyeon nodding then again with a sad smile across her face.

Then a deal was officially made- a confidential secret that only lingered inside of the Jeon family and no one else's.

Even to Jungkook and Jimin.
