Manish's pov

After the party everyone had finally went back to their home after being all happy about Shriya and Rahul's engagement next week. It was eight at night when Shriya and her parents were also leaving and Arshita was standing with them at the gate, talking to them.

It had been a long tiring day and I just wanted to sleep, when I recalled that Arshita had been trying to make fun of me all day and teaming up with Rahul as they had ignored me this morning.

I had even told her that I won't enter the room until she herself asks me to come back inside, what is she doesn't ask me to come back? She can be pretty stubborn sometimes. I know how much she likes to tease me.

I silently walked upto all of them and stood beside Arshita as I nudged her shoulder and she looked at me raising an eyebrow, "Ohh look who's here, your partner is leaving now, and that's why you finally got the time to come and meet me?" she asked while pointing at Shriya as I had been taking her side all day.

"Are you jealous?" I asked her while smirking and she just gave me a look while she said, "Oh please! Jealous word ka meaning pata krna hai toh subha mirror me apna face dekhna chaiye tha when I said that my dad liked Rahul more than you"

"Excuse me! I don't get jealous! I see that you've missed all day and now I'm thinking if I should sleep back in our room tonight or not, as you didn't let me in earlier today" I said wiggling my eyebrows as her and she let out a humourless chuckle saying, "That's on me, ki mai tumhe andar aane ki permission deti hu ya nhi"

"Well I know, you can't sleep without me" I said keeping my hand around her shoulders and she looked at my face for a moment while I was expecting her to day yes, okay I'll invite you back, she won't let me stay out right!

"You know what, mere pas ek better idea hai! That way we both can sleep peacefully" Arshita said and I smiled widely while nodding my head as I knew that she go to sleep without me!

"Okay I'm all ears! Are you planning something special for tonight as you weren't good to me all day, I can think of forgiving you" I said while my smile knew no bounds and Arshita chuckled while patting my cheek saying, "You'll know what I'm gonna do"

I kept looking at with all my hopes going up with every passing second when Arshita turned to mom and asked, "Mom can I go back to my house today, it's been so many days since I spent some time with mom, dad and Chia!"

"Ofcourse you can, you don't need ask Arshu" Mom said and I looked between them in shock as all my enthusiasm and hopes had went down shattering, "NO!" I almost shouted and everyone turned to me looking giving a weird look.

"Bhai you're being too obvious! Ek Raat Ki toh baat hai, let her go" Rahul whispered to me and I just gave him a glare while whispering back, "Shut up, jab teri shadi ho jaegi tab dekhunga, how much obvious you can be"

"Is there a problem Manu?" Arshita asked me batting her eyelashes up and down while smiling cheekily and I just took a deep breathe, "No I.... Mean... Yes... No.. mai toh bas keh rha tha ki sb bhut thak gye hai, you should go some other day"

"It's completely fine Manish! Arshu you can come, bhut din hi ho gye hai tujhe wapas aaye hue" Arshita's mom said and she nodded her head smilingly while I just made a face, "Ofcourse, we can have a sisters night after so long. We have so much to discuss about the engagement" Shriya said and then nudged my shoulder smirking as she whispered, "Seriously jiju! It's just about one night"

"Yeah of course! I wasn't stopping her, she can go to her house anytime she wants to" I said looking at Arshita while making a puppy face as she said, "Okay then, great! We should leave. It's getting pretty late"

"Yeah, Bye mom dad! Bye Chia!" I said waiving my hand at them and they all smiled when Arshita came upto me and said, "Bye Manu!"

"Bye...Good... Night!" I said looking at her while she was trying not to laugh and then went out with everyone as they sat in the car and her dad drove off!

"It's okay bhai, you can come back inside! React toh aise krr rhe ho jaise you hadn't been sleeping alone on the couch after wedding, ek din aur akele so jao na" Rahul said pulling me back inside as I was still standing outside looking in the direction there car had went.

"How do you even know that I had been sleeping on the couch before everything got fine?" I asked him widening my eyes and he gave me a cheeky smile, "Kis tarah se aap dono behave krte the, mujhe toh laga tha couch nhi you must be on floor. But bhabhi was considerate enough to let you sleep on the couch"

"Ayee shut up! This is the reason I'm more sad for her leaving, kyuki hume honeymoon se aaye hue aur Arshu ke confession ke baad se hum thk se do din bhi nhi rhe hai and she left now" I said making a face and Rahul just fave me a look, "Stop being over dramatic bhai! She'll come back tomorrow"

"She didn't even wish me good night, what is she's angry at me for taking Chia's side all day?" I murmured while holding my head and Rahul just shook his head saying, "Good night bhai, I'm tired! Get some sleep, you're not okay"

He walked upto his room while I sat in the living room making a face as sleep was far away from my eyes and I couldn't think of any other thing so I just did the first thing that came to my mind.

Arshita's Pov

I had been teasing Manish all day and it was actually pretty fun to see how much it all affected him. His face was to die for when I had decided to come back home with mom dad and Chia! I couldn't help but remember the time back in college when Manish used to get so jealous and worked if some guy would come and talk to me or if I took anybody else's side!

He has this over protective and possessiveness that makes him much more better than any other guy, and right now I knew that he would clearly won't be able to sleep as he keeps thinking about today again and again.

I was lost in my thought when Shriya almost dislocated my shoulder while shaking it as she said breaking my trance, "Open the door Arshu di! We're home so stop dreaming about jiju with your eyes wide open"

"I wasn't dreaming!" I said giving her a look as we got out of the car and walked in, the four of us came inside and I was actually delighted to be back after so long, I missed my house!

I and Shriya plopped on the couch in the living room as we had already started discussing about our outfits, decorations, theme, venue and all the other things for the engagement when dad and mom came back into the living room and dad waved a wine bar type in front of us saying, "Don't you girls think, today calls for a family drinking night like old times?"

"Oh my God! I'm already excited dad, it's been so long since the four of us did this" I said getting excited and dad laughed as mom bought out four wine glasses and we all sat around together, dad poured the wine in our glasses and Shriya raised her glass up saying, "Cheers to my engagement"

"Cheers!" we all said as we clinked out glasses together and then took a sip!

The four of us were drinking and talking about the things we were excited to do for the engagement when there was a knock suddenly the doorbell rang and we all looked at each other confused.

"Itni late kaun aaya hai?" Mom asked while we both shrugged out shoulder and dad got up to open the door saying, "I'll check, you guys carry on"

We kept drinking and talking when after a couple of minutes dad came back in the living and to my surprise followed by Manish behind him. I looked at her widening my eyes while he just looked at me giving out a big smile when Shriya asked, "Jiju? You missed Arshu so much ki apse ek night ka bhi wait nhi hua?"

"Shut up!" I said while smacking her arm slightly while she chuckled and Manish just rubbed the back of his neck as mom asked, "I feel like somethings wrong! Tum dono ki ladai hui hai kya? Arshu? Did you fought with him? Is that why you came back with us?"

"Mom aap toh aise puch rhe ho jaise sirf mai hi ladti hu, there can be other reasons too" I said making a face when dad said, "It's okay, Manish is here to stay the night for the first time and he's all welcome! And I think you girls should go to sleep now because us man's are going to get a drink together"

"But dad?" I was saying when Manish spoke up, "It's okay dad I'll leave if I'm disturbing your family night"

"You're calling me dad and not considering yourself my family? Do you want a beating?" Dad asked Manish while he just smiled slightly nodding his head murmuring a sorry while I just made a face, "Fine you guys enjoy! I'm going to sleep" I said getting up and Manish looked at me as he whispered while I was going from his side, "If you go away, I'll come to you everytime"

"Ohh you came here for me or to drink with my dad?" I murmured back and he smiled slightly, "You're so cute when you're jealous, you saw yourself. How much your dad likes me!"

"Whatever, I'm going to sleep and you can sleep in the living room later. Don't you dare come to my room, mann kare toh dad ke sath hi so jana" I said giving him a look while he just gave me his all time smirky smile and I walked upto the room while mom and Chia had already went to sleep in their rooms.

I plopped on my bed and sighed as I was back in my room after such a long time, I missed it so much. I couldn't deny the fact that Manish following up till here didn't make my heart go smiling in seconds, but what was he here for? Have a gala time with my dad or talk to me?

"He can drink all he want! Idiot" I said as I layed back and closed my eyes trying to sleep but ended up tossing and turning and messing up the bedsheets, because my mind was still fixed on Manish and what hr would be doing right now.

After tossing in my bed, try to nh to use my phone, staring at the ceiling for almost two hours I was done. I got up from my bed irritated for the fact that Manish actually didn't came in the room to even talk to me.

I walked down the stairs slowly trying not to make any noise, and saw Manish and dad whioe suppressed laughing at some of the joke Manish had cracked, are they serious?

I sighed as I turned back to go upstairs but collided with a side lamp in the living room gaining both Manish and dad's attention.

"I..... I...came to take water! Carry on" I said immediately running back upto my room and groaned in frustration. Was he actually having fun with my dad leaving me alone?

Sleep was far away from eyes, so I just shook my head as I walked into my room's balcony and sat on the swing while looking up at the sky when after a few minutes I was startled to hear someone singing behind me in a slurred voice and I immediately turned to find Manish singing, "Pehla Pyaar" while holding the guitar he had gifted me back in college on the day he had proposed me.

I tried to keep on an angry expression at which I was failing miserably as he was looking so damn cute while singing in his drunk voice. I finally let out a chuckled as I walked upto him and took the guitar from his hands saying, "Shhh! Everyone is sleeping. Stop your horrible singing"

"Horrible? I thought.....ise romantic...hona kehte hai!" Manish said slurring his words and I smiled while holding his head as I brought him upto the swing and made him sit saying, "You're drunk!"

"I was just trying to impress your dad so that he likes me more in the future" Manish said making a cute face and I laughed whioe pulling his cheeks as I said, "God! You're still stuck on that? Okay fine! He likes you more, he thinks you're the best"

"Okay! But I missed you..toh mai aa gya, you're not angry right" he asked making me sit beside him as he kept his head on my shoulder and I smiled, "No I'm not! Btw itni peene ka kya jarurat. If you can't handle yourself?"

"I'm perfectly fine! I can even count all the stars, even if I see two out of one" Manish said and I laughed while keeping my head on his saying, "Koi jarurat nhi hai! Did you really missed me that much, ki ek raat ka bhi wait nhi hua?"

"Nope! You confessed...just two day....ago, humne thk de tike bhi spend nhi liya tabse. Upar Rahul.....jr esd making fun of me, that I used to sleep on the couch and I should do it for one more night" Manish said and I chuckled while saying, "Aww! We'll get back at him I promise"

Manish nodded his head as he raised his head from my shoulder to look at me and then kissed my forehead, "You know mere yaha aane ka real reason kya hai?"

"Kya?" I asked raising my eyebrow and Manish smiled as he stucked some hair strands behind  my ear saying, "Because I don't want to let you out of my sight even for a minute! Fve years were enough of a torture of not being able to be by your side, so now I don't wanna leave even a second! Because sometimes it all still seems like a dream to me"

I looked at him while he was looking straight into my eyes and I couldn't help but smile as I said, "It's real, our love, our feelings, this marriage. It's all real and I'm not going to leave you so easily. So you don't need to be scared because I won't repeat the same mistake ever again"

"Promise?" he asked and I nodded my head saying, "Promise!"

We both kept looking at each other for a moment until I broke the silence, "You seem sober now!"

"Maybe! And if not then I'll definitely get sober after this" Manish said smilingly as he came closer and kissed me while I kissed him back as my hands went to the back to his neck.

We're like this! Unsual, sometimes loving. Sometimes bickering. But between all this we both know that no matter what we gonna be stuck with a very fine thread between the two of us that makes our relationship unbreakable and different from other. We made each other happy like no other ever can!

Third person's pov

It's had been a week full of preparations, shopping, enjoying and happiness as finally the day of Shriya and Rahul's engagement had arrived and Arshita was standing in front of the mirror with Shriya sitting in front of her on a chair as she was almost ready and overly excited for the engagement.

"Yaar aur kitni der me jaenge bahar? Is Ruhu still not ready?" Shriya asked almost for the thousandth time and Arshita gave her a look while setting her jewelery as she said, "Be patient Chia! Aa jaega, don't be a despo"

"She's dying to her see handsome to be fiancee" Nikita said from behind and Arshita nodded her head while Shriya just sat there impatiently.

"Ofcourse! I understand. Bichari se ek baar pehle uska pyaar chinne wale tha, Arshu ki wajag se. Ab jaldi toh hogi hi" Ahana said and received a glare from Arshita who said, "Excuse me tu toh aise bol rhi hai jaise maine jaan bujh ke Rahul se apni shadi fix ki thi"

"Guys purani baatein chodo! Mai perfect lag rhi hu na?" Shriya asked and they all gave her a look when suddenly the room's door burst opened and Hardik walked in saying, "Dulhe raja padhar rahe hai"

The next moment Manish walked in and Hardik gave him a horrible look saying, "Tu kaha se aa gya? Rahul ko kaha chodd aaya?"

"Aa rha hoga! Koi bacha thodi hai jo mai pakad ke lau" Manish said and everyone gave him a look while he just ignored them and walked upto Arshita smilingly and said, "You look so beautiful, I think I'm gonna faint"

Arshita's look

Manish's pov

"Aww! You look handsome as well" Arshita said kissing his cheek when they were disturbed by Shriya, "Stop being cheesy! Rahul kaha hai jiju?"

"Mai kya Rahul ka Google map hu jo uski location leke ghumunga?" Manish and everyone laughed while Shriya made a face when Shreyas and Virat also entered the room bringing Rahul while holding his hands as he smiled widely, "The hero has arrived!" Rahul said and Shriya finally smiled widely as she immediately got up and walked upto him saying, "You took longer that me to get ready, but I must say the wait was worth it. You so look absolutely dashing"

"I know right! But you're overpowering me, I can't my eyes off you. You look gorgeous" Rahul said smiling widely when Hardik said, "Ab kon cheese burst ho rha hai? Arshu and Manu were still in limits!"

"Thanks for the support Harry" Arshita said chuckling when Shriya said making a face, "Yaar humari engagement hai, itna tov haq hai humara"

Everyone just laughed as they all finally walked out, Rahul and Shriya walked ahead holding hands as there were crackers on their either sides as they both went up and sat on the stage ready for their big day!!
