Manish's pov

She said no!

She said no!

She literally said no and I can't believe myself! I was being such an idiot since yesterday thinking that she regrets marrying me when actually she never did!

The smile wasn't ready to leave my face as I ran away after kissing her cheek and she just stood there still for a moment! I was roaming around with the biggest smile on my face and when Hardik gave me a look while asking, "Pagal ho gya kya? Aise daant kyu phaad rha hai?"

"Tu nhi smjhega" I said still smiling and he gave me a weird look when Virat also came upto us saying, "Did Arshita confessed her love to you?"

"I wish!" I said but the smile was still plastered on my face as this time Shreyas asked, "Toh phir itni khushi kyu?"

"Mera yaha viva nhi chal rha guys, jo question pe question puch rhe ho! You all don't need to know" I said smiling cheekily while they all just gave me a look when Shriya came running upto us and spoke up without wasting any other second, "Rahul just called me, he said the meeting is almost over and he'll be at home in an hour! So go and get ready right now everyone"

"Saans toh lele!" Arshita said coming from behind and we all nodded as she made a face while saying, "I even had to say no when he asked if we could go on a date today, he clearly sounded so sad because no one wished him"

"Aww don't feel bad! He'll be fine once he's here" Ahana said coming from back and Nikita also patted Shriya's back while saying, "You should also probably go and get ready! You wouldn't want to come like this in your boyfriend's birthday party!"

"Exactly! Tum ladkiya ko jyada time lagne wala hai so get lost right now" I said and received a glare from the four of them, "You also need to get lost towards the same room as me, agar bahar nikal diya na ready bhi nhi ho paoge" Arshita said giving me a look and I sticked my tongue out while raising my hands on surrender.

After sometime as the girls were almost ready, I also went upto my room and picked up my clothes that I had to wear when Arshita came out of the washroom and she was wearing a long red dress which looked absolutely perfect on her!

I stopped midway while looking at her from head till the bottom and she looked at me while asking, "What?"

"Nothing!" I said shaking my head as I sighed and immediately went inside the washroom, meanwhile Arshita just gave me a confused weird look.

I sighed in relief as I closed the door of the washroom, what happened to me? I was actually at a loss of words because obviously red was her all time favourite color and right now she was slaying in it, while I couldn't even open my mouth to compliment her normally!

"I'm an idiot!" I said hitting my head and Arshita laughed as she said from the room, "It's good that you know"

I just shooked my head as I immediately changed my clothes and went out of the washroom, Arshita was stading in front of the mirror looking at herself from every angle as she was finally ready! I smiled as I silently picked up my phone and clicked her picture.

"Perfect!" she said flipping her hair with her hand and I couldn't help but chuckled when she turned to me and I said, "So self-obsessed!"

"Well you need to be sometimes" she said smiling cheekily and I gave her a look as I picked up my jacket and wore it over my shirt while saying, "But you're always doing it"

"Shut up. Btw you look great! I've been seeing you in office attire all this time that I had forgotten —" she was saying when I walked upto her and said, "That you fell for me when I used to dress up like this, that I look undeniably handsome"

Manish's look

"Now who's being self-obsessed? You don't even deserve a compliment" Arshita said and I just chuckled when I came a little more closer to her and she turned but her heel got stucked in the dress as it was too long and she got disbalanced!

My hands immediately shot to her waist as I held her and she looked at me while we were so close to each other right now that I guess she could even hear my heartbeat!

"But you do" I said as we were still in the same position and she looked at me dumbfounded as she asked, "What?"

"You do deserve a compliment! You still look ethereal in red and I really can't get over it!" I said slowly and she stared at my face when she suddenly untangled herself from my grip and looked away while murmuring a thank you!

Arshita's look

I smiled as I shifter her aside and looked at myself in the mirror while setting my hair and said," But you actually shouldn't wear these dresses if you're clumsy! Why do girls even wear them till down the floor? How do you guys walk?"

"It's a technique!" Arshita said giving me a look and I chuckled as I turned to her saying, "And I guess you don't know that technique because you always stumble!"

"Would you stop it? I even complimented you today and you're still taunting me" she said and I nodded my head while saying, "Fine fine!"

"Let's go, Rahul must he coming soon!" she said and I smiled at her cheekily, "After you!" I said and she just shooked her head as she went out of the room and I walked behind her, Arshita was going to step down the stairs when I went and held her dress from behind lifting it a bit and she gave me a weird look turning behind, "I'm not walking down the aisle!" she said and I chuckled while shaking my head as I said, "But you're walking down the stairs and I don't want you to fall"

She just looked at me a for a moment and then finally walked down as I kept holding her dress until we were finally down when Shriya spoke up, "Look at you guys! So cute! While I haven't even able to wish my boyfriend yet"

"Aww don't be sad! He'll he here soon, phir jitna chahe wish kr lena!" Arshita said and she just made a face when we heard a car coming from outside and I shouted immediately asking to turn the lights off as we all walked upto the main door!

"He's coming guys be ready!" I said and everyone nodded ready with the lights and the party bombers when someone entered and we all shouted bursting the party bombers all together as the lights turned on, "Happy birthday Rahul!"

"Oops! Sorry!" I said as we all looked at the door and Arshita's parents were standing there shocked by the welcome, while everyone else were busy giving me dead glares because I thought it was Rahul.

"Seriously? Manu tune toh hadd paar kr di yaar" Shreyas said giving me a look and I just looked here and there.

"What do I do with you? Get aside" Arshita said giving me a look as she just went ahead and met her parents while they smiled at her hugging her.

"Yarr! You wasted our party bombers" Shriya said and I was still looking down and Nikita laughed patting my back as he said, "Sasural walo ka swagat acha karwaya tune"

"Sorry na yaar! Ho jati hai galti insaan se" I said and Hardik just laughed while saying, "Acha, mujhe toh laga tha tu janwar hai"

"Sbko apne jaisa nhi smjhte Harry!" Virat said while we all laughed and Hardik made a face while saying, "And once again it all turned to me"

"Ab teri bezzati ke bina in sbka din kaha pura hota hai" Ahana said and we all nodded while Shriya was still giving me a look, so I handed her another party bomber saying, "Happy? Please stop looking at me as it I killed your boyfriend"

"Fine, you're forgiven! But why isn't Ruhu coming?" Shriya said and we all just shrugged our shoulders when someone spoke from behind, "I'm ho—" Rahul was saying but stopped as soon as he entered in and saw everyone and we turned to look at him as we all had been busy talking around and didn't even turned the lights off for his welcome.

"Wow!" Rahul said as a smile came upto his face while he looked around when Hardik snatched the party bomber from Shriya and bursted it on Rahul's head shouting, "Happy birthday bro!"

"Ohh yeah. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAHUL!" We all shouted together and Rahul just laughed when Shriya also went and hugged him tightly saying, "Happy birthday babyy! Sorry for not wishing you earlier. I hope you liked the surprise"

"I loved this! Thank you so much everyone and you all forgiven for not wishing me or I was planning on how to kill everyone on my birthday on my way back home" Rahul said and we all laughed as we all finally came inside and brought Rahul to the middle where the cake was placed!

Arshita's Pov

Rahul finally came and we had a blasting welcome for him, if you know what I mean!

"Now kill the cake and not us! Happy birthday!" Arshita said and Rahul chuckled as he picked up the knife and pulled Shriya next to him as he cuts the cake!

He fed the first piece to her and then to mom and dad, but before he could turn to anyone we all had something else planned for him because Hardik and Shreyas held him from behind and while we all smashed the cake and he kept protesting but no chance of escape!

I walked upto Rahul while hiding a champagne bottle behind me as I gave him a cheeky smile and he just looked at me confused while he was all covered in cake!

"I'll help you clean up a little" I said smiling widely as I poured half of the champagne on top of his head while he just stood there shocked.

"Nice way to clean up" Rahul said making a face and we all laughed as I said, "Now you look like the birthday boy"

"Aww you look really cute" Shriya said as she immediately clicked his pictures while Rahul was making faces as he said, "Baby you too? Come here I'll give you a hug"

"No. No way! I need to look good for my boyfriend birthday party" Shriya said walking away from him and we all laughed.

"Oh yeah. Wait!" Rahul said suddenly we all looked at him as Manish asked, "Kya hua? Achanak se shock kyu?"

"I need to do something, wait here everyone. I'll be back" Rahul said as he immediately ran upto his room and came out after a two minutes running back and stood in the middle while we all looked at him confused.

"Kya speech dega kya?" Virat asked him and we all chuckled while Rahul just shooked his head in denial as he looked towards Shriya and spoke up, "Chia come here"

"No, I won't hug you right now! You need to change first" Shriya said making a face and Rahul just gave her a look as he held her hand and bought her in the middle as he said, "I'm not hugging you. Just stand here okay"

Shriya looked at him confused as the next moment Rahul sat down on his one knee and looked up at Shriya who was looking at the him wide eyed!

"I've been waiting for the prefect day for this and I think this is it" Rahul said and took Shriya hand in his as he spoke up, "YOU! It's just a small word! But it really means the world to me, because the reason I smile everyday is you and and I can't imagine my life without you! And I love you so much that I don't want you to be my girlfriend anymore!"

"I want to marry you because, you're the first person I wanna look at when I wake up in the morning, and the only one I wanna kiss good night! You know because the first time I saw these hands, I couldn't imagine not being able to hold them, but mainly when you love someone as I much as I love you, getting married is the only thing left to do, so will you... um.. Marry me Shriya?" Rahul said as he opened a small box and it had a beautiful ring in it while Shriya just looked at him as the tears were flowing down her eyes but she had also had the biggest smile on her face.

"Yes! Of course! How can I say no to the birthday boy?" Shriya said and Rahul smiled widely as he slipped the ring in her finger and everyone clapped for them when Shriya hugged him forgetting that he was still covered in cake and champagne!

"Your dres—" I was going to say when Manish held my hand and pulled me back to a corner giving me a look as he said, "Don't disturb them idiot"

"Fine, fine! They look so adorable no?That was such a sweet proposal" I said smiling widely while looking at them and Manish nodded when I added, "He's really better than you, in these cases"

"Excuse me, he learnt from me only" Manish said giving out a proud look and I looked at him making a face as I said, "Excuse me, you weren't at all like that, I was the more romantic one"

"You're joking right?" Manish said coming closer and I gave him a look as I said, "No!"

"Admit it!" Manish said coming closer as he whispered to me and I stood still because of how close he was while I murmured, "I won't, you didn't even had that effect, you know the one that makes the other person nervous and loving at same time!"

Manish just nodded his head as the next moment he came in front of me pulling me close and then removing the hair strands from my face while I was busy looking at him as my eyes went wide.

He bought his hand up looking straight into my eyes and caressed the bottom of my lips with his thumb while my breathe already got hitched, when he moved away smirking and showed me his thumb saying, "You had some cake left there"

I looked at him still under the effect of that extreme closeness while he just shrugged and walked away not before saying, "That's the effect the you were talking about"

Next morning as we all were done with the breakfast, we were still sitting in the living room because it was a sunday morning when Rahul came upto us.

"Hey guys! Its good that I found you both together" Rahul said as I and Manish looked up at him while he came and sat in front of us.

"Kyu kya hua?" Manish asked and Rahul gave him a big smile while saying, "Well I wanted to thank you guys for yesterday! So here's a return gift for you two"

"Wow really?" I asked grinning as Rahul handed me a an envelope as he again spoke up, "I'm really happy that I proposed Chia yesterday and it became one of the best days of my life, and it couldn't have been possible without you two so this is a...."

"What is it?" Manish asked curiously as he snatched the envelope from my hand and opened it as he looked at it with his mouth open and said, "Hone... Honey... Honeymoon? Are you serious?"

"What?" I asked almost shouting as I looked at Manish and then at Rahul as he spoke up, "Yes! It's a honeymoon package for you two! I you you two didn't got married in the best circumstances so I guess you two really need to spend some time with each other, please, I've already booked everything so you guys can't say no"

"Arey par Rahul?" I was saying when he got up to leave and gave a look to both of us, "I'm not listening to anything, I'll he happy if you guys take this!" He said as he walked away and I turned to look at Manish who was already looking at me as he said, "Don't look at me like that, I don't have any hand in this! Even if I still like you, I won't do something like this without asking you because mujhe meri jaan pyaari hai"

"Ahh! Whatever! This is so.... I don't know!" I said making a face as I got up and walked straight back to my room as this was a bit too much now! Being friends with him was one thing but honeymoon? I can't even look forward to this disastrous HONEYMOON?
