Manish's pov

Next morning I was sitting on the couch with my head in my hands as I wasn't able to sleep all night because of two reasons! First, Arshita agreed to be on friendly terms with me after I confessed my feelings to her and that made me so happy! Second, this couch was too small for me!

I was looking at Arshita as she was sleeping peacefully and I sighed as I thought back to last night's events, everything happened so fast and the fact the I decided to marry her was still lingering in the back of my head, I knew that I had feelings for her but I what I didn't knew was that they were more than what I've ever felt for her!

I didn't knew what was going to happen now, that if she'll ever accept my feelings again or we'll just be like this! Will this marriage bring out the real meaning of love to her or she'll once again leave me after realising that she doesn't harbour the same feelings for me as she did five years ago?

I was busy with my train of thoughts as I kept staring at her when she slowly turned a bit and opened her eyes, she looked straight at me for a moment silently while I didn't looked away!

"What the hell? Why are you sitting like that? You scared me" She said getting up the next moment and I just sighed as I said, "I wasn't able sleep on this damn couch, it was so uncomfortable"

"That's not my fault!" she said shrugging her shoulders and I looked at her as she added, "Waha mandap me baithne se pehle ye sb sochna chaiye tha na"

"Are you going to mention that everytime you talk?" I asked her making a face and she nodded her head as she said slowly, "I can be a quite dangerous wife"

"Hahah very funny" I said giving her a weird look and she tried not to smile and got up to go and freshen up when I asked her, "You look quite happy after this marriage! Don't tell me you also have feelings for me"

She turned back to look at me staring at my face for a while as she spoke up, "I'll tell you something! You know five years ago I tried to forget you, tried to stop loving you. But somehow you carved you way back in my life whether you meant to or not, and sometimes I wonder, if you remember the way we used to look at each other, or maybe you just forgot! Love is really a complicated word, not many people get it easily specially when they have a past lingering in their head related to it"

She stopped speaking and I couldn't look away from her because I knew she was right, because somewhere I also tried to stop myself from thinking of her back then, I tried to stop my feeling, but that wasn't in my hands because heart always does whatever it wants to and we can't do anything about it.

"Should I tell you something too!" I said and she nodded her head slowly not once looking away from me as I said, "I tried that too! To get you out of my mind, to get you out of my heart, out of my life! But I couldn't, because you know, the person leaves but the memories stays with you forever! And all those beautiful memories of our never made me hate you"

"And one more thing, maybe you don't look at me the same way but I do, I still look at you the way I did back then! And I guess it won't change ever" I said and she looked here and there flustered at my answer and immediately turned around as she said, "I'll go and take a bath, we have a flight to catch!"

I nodded my head while smiling slightly as she went into the bathroom! After sometime she was almost ready as she was standing in front of the mirror when I came out of the bathroom with just my shorts on, and shirtless with the towel around my neck.

"Your mom said that—" Arshita spoke up while turning to me but stopped as soon as she looked at me and he eyes widened as she shouted, "Why aren't you wearing clothes?"

"I just took a bath, I have a habit of coming out of the bathroom shirtless" I said shrugging my shoulders as she gave me a look and immediately turned to the other side as she said, "But now you can't, we'll share a room now and I won't tolerate this idiotic habit okay"

"Seriously? As if you haven't seen me like this before" I said smiling cheekily and she gave me a glare and walked out of the room not before saying, "Shut up! Get reedy and come out fast, the flight won't wait for you"

"Areyy take you luggage atleast" I said from behind and she peeped in from the door as she said, "Bring it for me. Husbands should do things like that"

I made a face as she closed the door and went down. I just shooked my head as I immediately got ready because I had already gotten many missed calls from Virat, Rahul and Hardik for being late as everyone was already waiting to leave for the airport as we were to leave Bali today and go back to Mumbai!

I reached downstairs in the hotel's lobby and was met with the deadly glared from everyone for being late, "Sorry!" I murmured as they all just shooked their heads and we all finally left for the airport!

"So bro how was your first night?" Shreyas asked me as they all had dragged me in another car with just us boys and then they bombarded me with their questions!

"Seriously? First night? What a joke!" I said and he gave me a weird look, "Naak kata di tune" Hardik said giving me a look and I hitted his head while saying, "Chup reh please, what did you expect? Ki aise shadi krne ke baad she'll be very happy and we'll have a happily ever after?"

"But still! You love her right?" Virat said and I sighed as I nodded my head while saying, "Yeah I do. But she's still grudging over what happened five years ago"

"Don't worry just give her time! She'll be fine" Virat said and I nodded my head silently when I looked at Rahul who was sitting in the corner at the window seat of the car with his face almost covered with a cap and hoodie!

"Tu kyuu muh chupa ke ghum rha hai?" I asked him and he looked up while tilting his cap as bit as Hardik said, "Ab isne aise karname kiye hai iss shadi ke chakkar me toh sb isko dekhte hi taane maar rhe, ab muh toh chupana hi padega"

"Pagal kahika! Pehle hi bata dia hota that you like Chia, toh aise choro ki tarah harkate nhi krni padti" I said and he just sighed while saying, "Ho gyi na galti, bache ki jaan loge kya? Aur apka toh fayda hi hua hai na bhai!"

"Fayda toh tujhe pata chalega because now you have a dangerous bhabhi" I said and be just made a face while looking out of the window once again while saying, "I'm already feeling bad for doing this to her, ab mai Arshu se kaise baat kru?"

"Bhabhi ka naam tameez se le Rahul! Call her just bhabhi" Hardik said and while we all gave him a glare and he went silent, "Just try talking her when you reach back home!" Shreyas said and Rahul nodded as he said, "I'm already scared kahi dusra thappad na padd jaye"

"Do everything on your own risk, baad me mujhse mat kehna" I said and he just gave me a look while we all finally reached the airport and walked in as it was almost time for our flight.

Arshita was talking with Nikita and Ahana as she was still trying to ignore Shriya and Rahul. Shriya just had a blank look on her face as she looked at her when I went and patted her back.

"Hi!" I said and she gave me a small smile as she spoke up, "Hi! Jiju!" She said and I chuckled as I kept my hand on her shoulders and said, "I know she can be difficult to deal with sometimes! But I guess, this time it wasn't her fault right? So why don't we give her sometime?"

She smiled as she nodded her head saying, "I know, after all I've lived with her all my life!"

"Btw thanks for everything! If you hadn't done all this mujhe laga tha Rahul mera jiju ban hi jaega" Shriya said and I laughed as she joined me too as I replied, "Ofcourse! Ab tum dono ki love story ne meri love story wapas chala di, I obviously needed to help"

"What are you two talking about so happily?" Rahul asked as he came from behind and we both looked at him as he was still trying to hide his face with his cap and hoodie!

"What is wrong with you? I almost didn't recognized you" Shriya said and I chuckled as Rahul lifted his cap up showing his face and giving us a look as he said, "Woww you're such a good girlfriend who doesn't recognize her boyfriend"

"Ab boyfriend chor jaise ban ke ghumega toh yahi hoga na" I said and he just made a face and he said, "Now I also think that why didn't I tell everyone about us when this marriage was proposed! I'm the idiot"

"Atleast you admitted that" Shriya said and we chuckled as Rahul just shooked his head and putting his cap back on as he murmured, "No one loves me!"

We just laughed when my eyes went towards Arshita and Arush had just walked upto her and was saying something, my hands turned into fists as I couldn't just bare to see this guy in front of my eyes!

"What are you waiting for?" Shriya asked me and Rahul also looked in that direction and then at me as he murmured, "He's being jealous right now! So cute bhai"

I gave him the weirdest look when they both pushed me towards Arshita and Arush while I almost stumbled on my way, they both looked at me as I composed myself, stood straight and spoke up, "I want to show you something! Come with me" I said turning to Arshita and she stared at my face as she asked, "What is it?"

"Just come and you'll know" I said when Arush spoke up in between saying, "Show me too! I'm also curious!"

I turned to him as I gave him a sarcastic look, "Then keep doing that, it's not for you, it's for couples!" I said as the next moment I held Arshita wrist and started walking to the other side while Shriya and Rahul were giving me proud looks from the sides!

"Is something wrong? What did you wanted to show me?" Arshita asked turning to me as we came and stopped in a corner and she looked at me confused.

"Umm....I...I didn't..... I mean... You shouldn't.... That" I was murmuring when she gave me a weird look saying, "Can you speak in your language, I feel like I'm talking to an alien"

"As I've already told you about my feelings, I don't like you talking to other guys, specially that idiot Arush! And now as you already know everything just be my my side most of the time, I keep missing you! I've missed you for almost five years and I don't want to do that again!" I blabbered everything as she kept looking at my face with a blank look.

"Are you going to be this cheesy now? We agreed to be friends!" Arshita asked me after a moment and I smiled cheekily as I said, "I guess, you agreed for it and you can't back out now! You be the friend and I'll be the lover"

"You're being really strange!" she said as she kept looking at me as I just shrugged my shoulders while smiling, I once again held her hand as we all went in and boarded the flight.

Arshita took her window seat when I saw Arush coming upto our side but before he could sit beside her I sat there pushing his aside while he gave me a look and took the seat beside me and now I was in the middle.

I gave a glaring look to Arush as he was looking at me and I murmured, "What the hell are you upto now? She's married to me okay, so you better back off"

"But she still don't love you" He whispered back to me while smirking and I clenched my jaw as I said, "She will soon! I'll make her fall for me once again because you know, she never stopped loving me! I know that for sure"

"We'll see! Because who says that if she's married to you I'll back off?" He said shrugging his shoulders and I sighed but before I could say anything Virat spoke up from our left, "Why are you two acting and whispering like a couple?

"Actually I was wondering that too" Arshita said looking at us and I smiled at her, "I'm sorry! I should be doing this with you right? I'll remember this from now on" I said and she gave me a look, "Shut up! You can carry on" she said and I shooked my head in denial.

"We're a couple after all" I said and she just sighed as she looked out of the window and I smiled while Arush was giving me stares which went ignored my me.

Third person's pov

After sometime Arshita was busy reading a novel as their was still some before they reach back Mumbai, meanwhile Manish was feeling sleepy as he wasn't able to sleep last night because of the couch and uncontrollable happiness!

Arshita suddenly felt a weight on her shoulder and slowly turned to find Manish sleeping peacefully keeping his head on her shoulder and his one hand was linked with her arm.

She looked at his face for a moment while removing his hair from his forehead when Arush came forward to say something but Arshita stopped his showing her hand as he signalled towards sleeping Manish!

"Don't talk! He's sleeping, he couldn't sleep because of me last night" she told him while Arush made a face and slumped back in his seat while murmuring, "Why couldn't he sleep last night?!"

"What do you think? It was their first night together after all" Rahul murmured to him from behind and Shriya nodded her head while Arush just gave them a look while tuning to the front.

After a while Arshita also fell asleep keeping her head on top of Manish's head and they both were sleeping soundly when they had finally landed in Mumbai. Everyone got up to leave the plane while Arshita and Manish were still sleeping.

"They look so silent right now! Warna dono ko ladne ke alawa koi kaam nhi" Nikita said laughingly and everyone nodded as Hardik took out his phone and clicked their picture saying, "This needs to be captured while their speakers are off!"

They all were laughing because of Manish and Arshita woke up and looked at everyone standing in front of them, they both gave out a weird look and ignored them as Manish smiled and said, "Btw I slept really well! Thanks"

Arshita looked here and there as she got flustered but didn't wanted to show it, so she stretched her hands as she made a face while saying, "Ahh my shoulder got stiff because of you! Why is your head so heavy? What do you have in it here?"

"Your thoughts" Manish said cheekily and Arshita gave him a look as she got up while shaking her head and moving out of the plane not before saying, "Stop doing these weird things"

"I guess she had multiple personality disorder! She was being so nice when you were asleep and now she's being so mean" Shreyas said patting Manish's back and he gave out a look to him saying, "Shut up!"

They all moved out in the airport as the cars were already waiting for them, so everyone settled in one by one as they all were really tired after such a long flight.

Arshita was for the first time being nervous as they all were heading to the Malhotra house which was going to be her home since this day! She kept silent during the ride till home and no one tried to talk either.

They all reached the house and Manish's mom went in first as she bought a thali and to welcome the new couple!

Manish and Arshita stood on the door as she did their welcome and fed them sweets as his mother spoke up, "If he ever says anything to you Arshita, just come to me right away! Ek minute me thk kr dungi usko mai"

Arshita smiled at her as she giggled slightly saying "Sure!"

"Uski jarurat nhi padegi because she already have many ways to get her work done out of me! She's experienced" Manish said and they all laughed as they came inside while his dad said, "That's even better! We needed a girl like this only for him"

"But seriously! Arshita I know, that all this happened in a really typical situation and I also know that you weren't okay with this but still agreed to come here with us. Take your time and settle however you want here, you're the first daughter I got so I really want to keep you happy okay" Manish's mom said keeping her hands on Arshita's shoulders and she gave her a grateful smile at this as Arshita said, "Thank you so much aunty, I'll try my best"

"I called you my daughter and you're calling me aunty?" His mother said and Arshita smiled as she said "Okay mom then you also call me Arshu"

"And call me dad, that sounds cool" Manish's dad said and Arshita nodded while smiling when Manish made a face and said, "I already feel left out"

"Mai toh shayad kuch bola bhi toh bahar nikal diya jau!" Rahul said from behind and their mom and dad laughed while Arshita joined them.

After sometime Arshita was in Manish's room which was now her too! She was trying to settle her things in the room while Manish was in the bathroom taking a shower. Arshita opened the drawer beside the bed and kept some of things in it, she was going to close it when her eyes went towards something and she stopped.

Arshita picked up the photo frame as she stared at it silently caressing the picture in it with her thumb as it was a picture of Arshita and Manish from the freshers party! The day when Manish had proposed her and she had said yess to him! They were looking at each other fondly as Manish had his arms wrapped around her waist in the picture.

"Woww! You're really something else Manish, why can't I understand you?" Arshita murmured to herself while sighing as she looked at frame once again before keeping it back inside the drawer.
