Arshita's Pov

"I think we should go to left" Manish said and I looked at him with a straight face as I said, "But I think right one is the actual route"

"Should we make a toss?" He asked me turning to look at me and I gave him a 'are you out of your mind look' as we've been quarrelling over the correct route while sitting in the car as both of us didn't knew the place where we were supposed to go and the network was far away from our phones to check the map!

"Is this a game? Should we make a toss?" I said looking at him as I mimicked his line and he chuckled, "We don't have any other option, we don't know the routes so just pick up one road and we'll go on" He said and I nodded my head as I said, "Okay then turn right"

"So why not left?" he asked making a face and I glared at him, "Finee as you say, just don't blame me of we get lost inside a jungle or something" He said and I just sighed as he finally started the car and turned right.

Manish kept driving while I was munching on some chips which Shriya had thankfully stuffed in my bag, I tried my best to ignore Manish and not talk too much as I was still not able to cope with the fight we had last night after mehndi and right now the only thing which we wanted to keep far away was another fight.

So it was better to keep our mouths shut!

But Manish being Manish looked at me making a puppy face as he eyed my chips while driving.

"Don't even think of it!" I said looking at him with a straight face and he made a more helpless face, so I just sighed and stuffed some chips in his mouth and he grinned widely.

"Don't you think we've been roaming around the same road again and again?" I asked after almost half an hour and Manish sighed while nodding his head as he said, "Mujhe bhi kuch aisa hi feel ho rha hai"

"And you're still going on? Think of something you idiot" I said and he made a face, "Why should I think? You think of something, it was your idea to turn right" he said and accusingly and I looked at him making a face.

"Woah are you going to blame me for this for the rest of my life? We had to take any of the route afterall" I asked disbelief and he nodded while saying, "Ofcourse! What if we end in some jungle and animals eat us up"

"Shut up and stop talking like kids! Just try to find a way to get out of this" I said and throwing the chips packet out of the window and he laughed, "Why are you taking out your anger on that packet?" He asked and I gave him a cheeky smile as I replied, "Because I can't take it out on you right now, or I'll be left alone in this damn place"

"Yeah yeah I know I'm too good to keep company, no need to say thank you" he said pulling his collar up with one hand and I gave him the weirdest look when suddenly the car hitted something in the front and stopped with a jerk. I shouted at the top of my lungs while closing my eyes as I felt it was last moment of my life but realised that Manish's hand was on my forehead as he had stopped me from bumping my head on the dashboard.

I opened my eyes and turned to look at Manish and hopefully he was alright, "Are you okay? You didn't get hurt anywhere right, you're fine?" he asked worriedly looking at me and I sighed as I said, "I'm fine, what about you?"

"I'm good" He said while nodding his head and I sighed in relief but as soon as we looked to the front our eyes widened in shock and we looked at the car's bonnet with our mouths flung open as it was bashed into the big rock and now the steam was coming out of it.

We looked at each other losing all the hopes the of reaching anywhere now!

"We're doomed" Manish murmured and I groaned in frustration as I got out of the car and Manish did the same. We looked at the car's bonnet and I stomped my foot while murmuring, "Bas yahi reh gaya tha"

"Exactly? Isn't it all like a movie" Manish asked amusingly and I glared at him as I said, "Movie? Tumhe maza Aa rha? Dekh ke nhi chala skte the? Idiot"

"Meri kya galti, tum hi mujhse baatein krr rhi thi" He said rubbing the back of his neck and I gave him a weird look, "Don't give me lame excuses" I said pointing my finger at him and he caught my finger in his hand as he came closer and said, "This movie seems to be horror instead of romantic"

"Yeah right and now if you don't do something, the ghost will take you away and I'll have a happy ending" I said getting my finger out of his grip and he chuckled, "Rahul ke sath jada reh rhi ho kya aaj kal? You've leaned to make jokes" he said and I just gave him a look.

"Okay I'll check just wait" he said and opened the car's hood while more smoke came out, Manish tried everything but nothing could make it right, so I just sighed.

"Isko thk hone me kuch ghante lagege aur vo bhi mai nhi kr paunga" he said shrugging his shoulders while I ran my hand through my hair.

"Tumko jo krna hai kro, I can't stay here in the middle of road anymore" I said as I walked upto the road while Manish followed behind saying, "I'll come too, I can't leave a girl alone! I have some manners you know"

I just shook my head as I looked around and there was nothing but just long roads in front and the back!

"Ohh car is coming! I'll ask for the lift just wait and watch" I said as I saw a car coming to our way and as it was coming closer I started waving my hand at it but, the person didn't even looked at me as he drove past me in full speed and I just heard Manish's laugh.

"Don't be so happy, I'll definitely stop the second one" I said glaring at him and he nodded his head while grinning as he said, "Go on"

The next moment another car came and I almost stood in the middle of the road to stop that one! But the way the person was driving he didn't looked in any sort of mood to stop while I was busy waving both of hands, and suddenly Manish grabbed my arm and pulled me towards himself as the car was almost going to hit me, I bumped into his chest while his hand went to my waist protectively.

I looked at him as he was so close to me and almost stopped breathing when he spoke up, "Are you crazy? What if he had hitted you" He asked in concern and I just stared at his face.

"I don't know what to do with this small head of yours!" He said and I immediately untangled myself from his grip as I looked here and there, "Sorry"  I murmured and he looked at me as he smiled and said, "Woww did you really said sorry? I can't believe this" he said amused and I gave him a look as I said "Again you're back at it, and I thought you were serious for a moment there"

"I can't help it! The look on your face was like getting a scolding from your dad" He said laughing and I rolled my eyes as I picked my bag from the car and started walking while Manish also joined me and we walked on the empty road silently.

"We don't even know where we're going" I said making a sad face as it was almost nine at night when Manish said, "Don't worry. I'm sure we'll find something at the end of this road"

I just nodded as I opened my bag and pulled out a sandwich from it and found Manish looking at me once again with his puppy eyes look, so I pulled out another one too and handed it to him.

We ate our sandwiches and kept walking for almost half an hour in silence which was surprisingly not awkward.

"Ahhh I'm tired! We've been walking for so long" I said making a tired face and Manish smirked as he asked, "So do you want me to carry you or something?"

"No thanks, I'm fine, not tired at all" I said making a face and he chuckled while murmuring, "Nice trick to take away your tiredness"

I just shook my head when suddenly Manish pointed at my right happily saying, "Look that's a hotel I guess! Come fast" he said and just grabbed my hand as he started dragging me in that direction.

Manish's pov

I and Arshita walked inside the hotel which hopefully looked fine, Arshita went and sat in the chairs in the lobby while I went towards the reception.

Everything just seemed so coincidental at the moment but I wasn't actually complaining, I wasn't annoyed or irritated with us being left behind or car being recked, I fortunately got a chance to talk to Arshita which I've been wanting to do since our fight last night, and I finally got it.

The receptionist smiled at me warmly as I reached upto there and kept my hands on the desk as I asked, "Heyy can I get a room?" I asked and she nodded her head gently as she asked, "Yess sir you can, but there's a thing"

"What?" I asked confused and she smiled as she looked behind me towards Arshita and then back at me while saying, "But I don't think it'll be a problem to you, cuz all we have left is couple's suite room" she said and I looked at her for a moment and then turned to look at Arshita who was yawning. So It's time to mess around a bit.

"That's great you know! Actually my wife right there, she's a bit angry with me. So nothing could be better than this I guess" I said smiling widely and she nodded as she made an entry and handed me the keys. I waved at her smilingly and walked back to Arshita while she forwarded her hand towards me saying, "My room's key"

"Actually there's a bit problem.... And I... You know... One room... We have to—" I was saying while rubbing the back of my neck and she looked at me confusingly as gave me a look and said, "Can you speak clearly without stuttering?"

"Baat ye hai ki they only have couple's suite room left and we got only one" I said and she shot up from her seat looking at me wide eyed, and I just shrugged.

"Are you stupid? How did you even thought I would stay in the same room with you?" she asked me throwing her hand in disbelief and I took a deep breathe, "Nope I didn't thought that even for a moment, but we don't have a choice. Either you stay in that room to here in the lobby, the choice is yours" I said and she gave me a hard glare.

"This won't work, let me talk to her" Arshita said as she turned to go to the reception but I stopped her while coming in front of her as I said, "She can't tell anything now!" I said and she looked at me dumbfounded so I immediately added, "I mean she's off the duty, she can't do anything now! It's late"

"Ugghhh fine" she said groaning and my heart did a victory dance as I smiled and turned her by homing her shoulders and showed a thumbs up to the receptionist while she also grinned and showed me an okay sign but Arshita saw her and asked, "Ye kya vulgar actions kr rhi hai?"

"Nothing nothing she's a bit off by mind  let's go" I said and she gave me a look while walking straight as she said, "You know quite a lot about her"

I just chuckled as we finally went into the lift and up the floor as we came in front of the room and Arshita opened it. She went inside while I followed behind, she threw the keys at me and sat on the bed as she said, "You're taking the couch as all of this is happening because of you"

"Woah that's a good way to transfer the responsibility, we would've been fine if you hadn't forced me to take that right turn" I said in a defensive mode and she just shrugged as she layed on the bed while saying, "Who knows? Maybe left would've been more dangerous"

"Yeah yeah right" I said while I pulled out my phone from my pocket but it was dead! I sighed and looked towards Arshita was still examining the room, "Give me your phone! I need to inform Rahul ro everyone will be worried" I said and she just nodded as she checked her jeans pockets but didn't found it, she thought for a moment and then searched her bag but still didn't found it and then suddenly shouted, "Noooooo this can't be! How can I do this?" she shouted with her head in her hands while I looked at her confused so I asked, "I'll just make a call, why are you being so dramatic?"

"Because I forgot it back in the car!" she said and I looked at her with a blank look, "Woww that's great, just brilliant" I said and she just made a face while looking down.

"What is Rahul's number?" I asked while thinking and Arshita gave me a look as she said, "He's your brother, you must remember it"

"He's your to be husband, you must remember it more than me" I said and she threw a cushion at me as I dialled his number chuckling and said, "Oh I remember now, you were always bad at learning and used get lower marks than me too! Sach kadwa hota hai"

She gave me a look while Rahul picked up the call and asked, "Kaunsa sach?"

"Sach, sach ye ki hune nhi pata tha ki tumlog bhul jaoge tumhare sath do log aur bhi the, vo marr gye ya zinda hain! Aur hume ye bhi nhi pata tha ki humari gaadi kharab ho jaegi aur humare phones bhi Kaam nhi krege" I was blabbering when Rahul cut me off saying, "Okay okay fine bhai I understood everything, calm down! We're sorry na please I relieved that you guys are fine kuch jada bura bhi ho skta tha"

"Haa bura ye ho skta tha ki hum dono ko jungle me jaanwar kha jaate" I said and he chuckled when I heard Hardik shouting from behind him, "Sach me? Kaun kaunse jaanwar the waha?"

"Abeyy nonsense zoo me nhi hai hum, Rahul isko chup kara, I just called to tell you that I've talked at the hotel and I our car will he repaired by tomorrow so we'll come back in the morning, tell everyone so they don't get worried" I said and Rahul replied, "Sure bhai enjoy..... I mean.. Take care we'll wait for you"

I ended the call and looked around when Arshita got up the next moment and looked around the room and made a sad face, I looked at her for a moment and then asked, "Are you finding something?"

"Don't they have something to eat here? I'm hungry" she said and I giggled while sitting on the couch as I said, "Woww you really eat a lot in tensed situations! Btw you see that phone beside the bed? That's used to order food"

She gave me a look as she picked up the phone while saying, "I knew that, no need to act oversmart"

I just shook my head while chuckling as she dialed the phone and next moment ordered almost a list of food, I just gasped and went into the washroom to freshen up.

I came out of the washroom and food also came at the same time the room's bell rang, I opened the door and looked at the food in shock as it was too much, I just sighed and took the food inside with my hands full.

I kept the food in frond of Arshita and and she smiled widely as she started eating it while I looked at her smiling slightly, she always used to eat a lot when she was irritated, angry or tensed!

She was still the same but just pretended to hide everything to cope up with her feelings, I still feel hard to cope up with whatever happened between us years ago! I guess it was fault of both of us but until now I kept thinking of her at the fault while she thought it was me.

But now I knew that the fault was equal from both of the sides and I couldn't help but feel more attached to her now! And now I was afraid to lose her when she wasn't even mine.

I brushed my thoughts away as I looked back at her and smiled while picking up a burger from the trays in front of her, she looked at me narrowing her eyes as she said, "I didn't ordered for you"

"I know, but I care about you and if you'll eat this much you'll get fat" I said cheekily and she just shook her head while focusing back on her food as she said, "Again! Lame excuses"

I chuckled and sat infront of her whioe she kept her focus on eating so I spoke up while eating the burger, "Ahhh... I'm.. I'm sorry" I said and she looked up at me with a blank look but then said, "It's okay, it's just one burger. You can have it"

I gave her a weird look as I said, "It wasn't for the burger you dumbo! I'm sorry for yesterday, I spoke too much and exaggerated everything. I didn't even knew what I was saying and just blabbered out whatever came in my mind. I was being too harsh, I shouldn't have said those things about the past or your trying or get back at me! I've been so restless after that fight and I'm really sorry about it" I said and she stared at my face silently.

"Won't you say something?" I asked after a moment when she hadn't said anything yet, she took a deep breathe and looked down as she said, "What do I say? I guess it's the first time the one of us is saying sorry for a fight after all these years! We always fought for all these years but no one ever said a sorry but now when you say it, I know what it means, so I'm sorry too"

I just nodded my head as we sat in silence not quite looking at each, "This is weird but I don't want too see more problems between us, maybe I don't want to ruin what we have left because I'm sure we can't go back to what we were" I said after a moment and she looked at me slowly, "Jo jaisa hai waisa hu rahe, bs aur kharab mat ho right" she said and I nodded my head.

"Fine but can I ask you a question?" She asked me and I looked at her curiously, "You already asked one" I said smiling slightly and she gave me a look saying, "Shut up can't you be serious?"

"Okay sorry go on" I said and she took a deep breathe before speaking, "Why didn't you got married yet? I mean you're older than Rahul but you won't agree. Why?" She asked me and I looked down because I couldn't just speak out my feelings or thoughts straight after what we decided right now.

"Maybe because I didn't found the one I feel complete with! Marriage comes with many things but the most important of them is love and if you don't love someone with your whole heart, you can't live your rest of the life with them right" I said and she just stared at me and then nodded her head she said a bit hesitantly, "Yeah right, ofcourse"

She again fell silent and I knew she didn't wanted to talk any further just by looking at her face, so I just sighed and got up from the bed as I walked towards the couch while saying, "You must be tired and it's late too, I won't disturb you anymore"

She just nodded her head slightly as she layed on the bed and stared at the ceiling while I went and stood in the room's balcony thinking about whatever we talked and there was still a question left lingering in the back of my mind, and was bugging at me to ask her about it.

"I just wanted to know that... Are you really in love Rahul to live the rest of life with him?" I asked while coming back inside the room but when I looked at her she was already asleep. I sighed and walked upto her as I covered her with the blanket and removed the strands of hair from her face.

Maybe taking the right turn actually gave us a closure! But what was this still unsettled feeling in my heart? Maybe what I needed was not a closure but something more!
