Day 15
Day 15: Week 3 || The First Date
It was early in the morning, around eight am, and the new teen couple were fast asleep. They were both in Rainbow Dash's room, engulfed in her bed sheets. Soarin holds onto Dash as she nestles into his chest with her stuffed giraffe in her hand. She isn't afraid to hide it anymore because she's comfortable with holding it in front of him.
Speaking of relationships, Rainbow Dash and Soarin Skies made it official yesterday. It's only been about twenty hours since they've started dating, but it feels like they've been together forever. The love between them has always been there, and has been hiding inside of them for ages, practically begging to be released. Their love for each other is greater than the hate that ever took place in their hearts, and that would never change.
Soarin slowly regained consciousness after a long night of sleep. He saw his small girlfriend sleeping in his arms, and it brought a smile to her face. Since he's asked her to be his girlfriend, he could never wipe a grin off his face, even if he wanted or needed to.
He also likes that she's not uncomfortable with holding Mr. Purple in front of him. The stuffed animal seems to keep her rather peaceful in her sleep. Soarin brushes some of her hair behind her ear, accidentally making her shiver from the light touch of his fingers against it. He heard her groan a little as she stirred in her sleep.
"Shhh," he shushed as he left light strokes on her hair. "Go back to sleep."
"Hmm, nah, you've already woken me up," Dash croaks as a response to Soarin, feeling a wave of surprise from hearing her voice so early in the morning. Dash lets out a raspy yawn. She covers her mouth so Soarin didn't have to smell any of her morning breath. Her hair was a rainbow mess, despite sleeping soundly and peacefully.
She sits up on the bed, releasing another yawn as she stretches out her body to release the tension in it. She sets Mr. Purple aside atop of her nightstand as she didn't need him at the moment.
"Well, good morning baby girl," he greets her as he pushes himself up to sit behind her. Dash sits in between his legs and leans back against his chest, using it as a back rest. He envelopes his arms around her midsection and plants kisses all over her cheeks.
"Good morning, Soar." She giggles as his lips kiss her in different places on her face. She felt his kisses trail downwards away from her cheeks, knowing where he was about to go next.
She feels his lips on her neck and sucks air through her teeth. Last time Soarin had done this, she pushed him away due to being uncomfortable with the fact that they weren't officially together yet. This time, she wouldn't dare stop him. She's getting exactly what she wanted.
A moan escapes Dash's lips, one that she tried to suppress. It set off something inside of Soarin, making him hungry for more than what he already had. He gets up from behind her and pins her to his bed with his two legs on either side of her. Dash yelps out of surprise as he does so. She didn't expect him to do it so quickly. A smile took over his face as he licked his lips seductively.
"Feeling déjà vu?" He asks, trying to remind her of the first day they were locked in together.
"Yes, but this time I actually want it," she replies with her eyes half lidded. Soarin raises an eyebrow at her, yet still smiling. He didn't expect her to be so willing for him to do what he wanted. He isn't going to go for anything too extreme yet; they started dating not long ago.
"Alright then, baby girl. I'll give it to you."
Soarin leans in and connects his lips with hers. He put his hand on the back of her head and brought her closer to the point where there was no space between them. He uses his other hand to tickle behind her ears. Knowing how sensitive she is there, he'd get the pleasure and of hearing her moan again if he found her sweet spot.
Dash shivers underneath him, losing her concentration from the kiss. Instead, she was worried about controlling her body as Soarin used her ear sensitivity to his expense. The movement of her lips were sloppy as her attention had shifted.
"Aaaah . . . ooh, S-Soarin." She breaks the connection between them with her groans. Her breath was shaky and more shivers rushed throughout her entire body. Suddenly, Soarin's finger tapped a small part near the lower region of her ear and she squeaked, similar to the sound a mouse makes. Everything was going well, and she was more than happy he finally found her sweet spot.
Soarin then began sucking on the side of her neck, continuing what he was going to do three days ago before he was interrupted by Dash's nerves. At first, he was reluctant about doing it because of the way she reacted the last time, but the reason why was completely irrelevant now, so it didn't matter to either of them as much anymore.
Dash hummed as pleasure came crashing down on her. What's amusing to her is that what she was experiencing now was definitely not even close to how she would feel during intercourse. She could barely handle it now, so imagine then . . . She didn't want to think about it now, as she was inclined to focus on the moment she was having with her loving boyfriend.
Boyfriend. There was nothing she loved more than being able to refer to him as that. She's so grateful to have a boyfriend that's caring, benevolent, and compassionate. Since quarantine started, he's always been there for her. Even when she insisted for him to let her take care of herself, he was there.
Let's not forget about his handsomeness. Dash has made up many fantasies about how her dream boyfriend would look and be more times than she would admit. Not once did she ever fantasize about someone that looked like Soarin, but they did act much like him. You don't find someone like Soarin everyday, you know.
If you had told her three months ago that she would end up dating Soarin Skies, she would have never believed you. It just seemed so unlikely in the past, especially since their hate for each other hadn't died down yet. Who knew that the person you could barely get along with would be the person you would love the most?
Dash was caught off guard when she felt Soarin's lips on hers again. One of his hands made its way up her shirt, and she shivered as he touched her bare back. It had just occurred to her that her breasts were not covered with a bra, and Soarin's hand was nearing her left breast. She didn't want to stop him again like last time because it made things so ridiculously awkward between them, but she wasn't ready for him to touch her there, yet.
Soarin sensed her discomfort without her saying anything. She's an easy person to read, and is not very good at hiding how she truly feels. He didn't want to put her in an uncomfortable position, especially since he's made that mistake already. There is no way he's going to do it again.
He pulls his hand out of her shirt, surprising Dash that he did so. He disconnects his lips from hers and fakes a smile as he looms over her tiny physique. He pecks her lips one last time before moving to sit on her left side.
"Why stop so suddenly?" Dash asks as she pushes herself up so she could lean into him.
"What do you mean?" Soarin responds with another question.
"Well, you were kissing me so intensely and then you stopped. There was no cool down or anything." Soarin didn't say anything. He looks off to the side and avoids eye contact with her. He had that guilty expression on his face again. It's the same face he made before apologizing to her for nearly kissing her about a week ago. "Soarin, don't tell me you're going to apologize for being horny."
"I- what? Horny? Me?"
"Yes." She rolls her eyes playfully at the fact that Soarin thought she was oblivious to his lust. "Not today, but maybe later. Mkay?" He nods quickly as his pupils dilate. Dash kisses his cheek and hops off the bed, throwing a sheer robe over her crop top and short shorts. She saw herself in the mirror and noticed a dark mark on the area Soarin had sucked her neck. She didn't bother questioning what it was because it was more than obvious. "Wow, you gave me my first hickey."
"I mean, I was sucking on your neck rather intensely," he chuckles. Dash walks away from the mirror and in the direction of the door, causing him to be a little confused. "Princess, where are you going?" Soarin calls out to her with his arm outstretched.
"To make breakfast, of course!" She exclaims, practically bouncing in place. "Today is our first official day of dating, and I want to make the two of us the best breakfast ever."
"Is there anything I can do? Or do you just want me to sit and watch?"
"You could put the pancakes and waffles in the toaster. Then put the sausages on the skillet." She suggests, walking over to him and forcing him out of bed. "No time to waste! Let's go!"
════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*════
Soarin and Dash relax on the couch after a large, stomach stuffing breakfast. Without a doubt, they'd gain at least half a pound from all the food they ate. It took them a whopping two hours to prepare, and another two hours filled with conversation. Dash rubbed her exposed stomach as she slouched and sighs out of satisfaction. She licks the little splotches of maple syrup on her lips. Soarin couldn't help but smile as he saw his girlfriend's happiness after eating. Like said before, she adores eating.
"Someone looks happy," Soarin points out as he pinches her cheeks.
"You made the sausages really well! They were my favorite part of the meal." She stares down at her stomach and notices it's a little bigger than usual. "Do I look . . . fat?"
"No! You just ate a big meal, Dash. You're not going to look the exact same as before. And your stomach doesn't even look big. Like I said, it just looks like it should after you eat," he reassures her. The last thing he wants for her is to feel self conscious about her weight when she looked perfectly fine. "Plus, one extra pound won't kill you."
"Alright. I'll take your word for it." Dash fixes her posture and sits up on the couch.
"Hey, baby girl?" Soarin uses his finger to lift her chin up so their eyes make direct contact.
"Yeah?"
"I never want to hear you say something like that again. Okay?"
"Woah! Soar, you know I'm not-"
"Okay?"
Rainbow took note of the seriousness of his tone. When she made the comment on her stomach, it was lighthearted, and she meant nothing out of it. But Soarin seems to have taken it as something else. Something she didn't want to mention.
"Okay. I'm sorry for worrying you. I didn't mean it in any way. Honest." She expresses her regret. He kisses her forehead as a way to show his forgiveness. "So, what do we do now?" She asks, clearly bored.
Soarin puts on a jovial smile. He had planned out something with Thunderlane for after he and Dash eventually got together. It never occurred to him that he'd actually get to use the plan since the chances of him and Dash becoming one didn't seem likely.
"At six pm this evening, I want go to your room. I left something on the bed for you."
Dash's eyes lit up. Her excitement overtook her boredom as she bounced in her seat. What could he have gotten her? New shoes? New clothes? Or maybe it was something a little less . . . appropriate. Whatever it was, she was still ecstatic at the thought of it.
Oh, but that would mean she wouldn't be able to go in her room for six hours. It doesn't matter too much because she's with the boy she loves, but what if she needs something from her room? Should she just tell Soarin to fetch it for her? The only reason he wasn't allowed in her room was because of Mr. Purple, but Soarin knows about him now.
"What do I do if I need something from my room?" She asks him. Just like expected, he had told her he would simply get it for her. "So . . . Netflix? I'm choosing the movie because you made us watch Tangled last time."
"Admit you enjoyed watching it. I know you did."
"Is your memory fried? I feel asleep halfway through the movie, remember?" She takes an attempt at jogging his memory. "You brought me up to my room, kissed my forehead and called me a cutie. How could you forget something like that?"
"YOU WERE AWARE?"
════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*════
Six hours full of bickering about which movie to watch and cuddling later, Dash readied herself for see what Soarin had surprised her with in her bed. She was so distracted by the fun she was having with him that she had almost forgotten about the surprise.
As she walked up the stairs to her room, she remembered the last set of instructions he had given her before letting her see what he had left on her bed.
"After receiving your gift, meet me outside at the backyard. I have something else for you."
It really makes her wonder what he had gotten her, and why he wanted her to go to the backyard, of all places. Perhaps it was a jersey or new shoes, but where on earth would he get the money to buy her any of that? And not just how, but when? Surely she would have seen a new package come in if Soarin had bought something online.
I guess he's just really discreet.
Dash's heart raced as she neared her bedroom door. She was just so excited! And nervous at the same time. But mostly excited. She slowly opens her door and fixes her eyes on the plastic bag on her bed. When did he get the time to put this in here?
At the second she loomed over her bed, she immediately knew what was inside the bag. There was a hanger sticking out of the top, indicating that it was a fancy outfit of some kind. It would be ridiculous to put shoes in a bag this large.
She pulls the hanger out of the bad, revealing a black, off the shoulder dress with long sleeves. In all honesty, she did not expect this at all. She's never been a fan of frilly outfits or frou-frou dresses, and she'd refuse to wear them unless she was blackmailed. The thing about this dress was that it looked more comfortable than any of the ones Rarity would force her to try on.
Dash pulls the last part of the dress out of the bag, and a note falls out of the opening on the bottom. She catches it with her swift reflexes before it hits the ground before setting the dress on her bed.
"i left some shoes for you in your closet.
wear them along with the dress and meet me in the backyard. i know you'll look nice ♡
~ soarin ⚡️"
She felt her cheeks burn up at the thought of Soarin envisioning her in this dress. He must have rummaged through her clothes to find her dress size, and through her shoes to find her shoe size. The one thing she wanted to know was where on earth he found the time to do this. They started dating yesterday, and there is no way he bought and ordered a dress with shoes in less than twenty four hours. How long has he been planning this?
"Well," Dash sighs contently. "Looks like I'm going to be wearing a dress." She drapes the dress over her arm and makes her way over to the closet to check out the shoes Soarin had gotten for her.
"Oh, god. Heels?" She groans as she saw the height of the heels. The heels were black, close toed, and four inches tall. The tallest shoes she had ever worn were two inches, and those were just heeled boots. "Watch me fall down the stairs."
════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*════
Soarin waited by the sliding glass door at the entrance of the backyard as he adjusted his tie. Thunderlane lent him one of his tuxedos to wear for the occasion. He was very reluctant on doing so, but he knew how important the surprise for Dash was to Soarin. He didn't want to disappoint his best friend.
Soarin had estimated that Dash would take about an hour to get dressed. Other girls would take at least two hours, but Dash likes speed. He didn't specify, but he really hoped she'd do her hair in a nice style or apply some gloss so her lips would shine. He couldn't expect any of it from her because he simply told her to put the dress and heels on, then come downstairs. Still, it'd be nice to see her all glammed up.
His body whipped around in the direction of the house as he heard clicking and clacking coming from inside. For a few moments, the sound stopped, but as it continued, the Rainbow Dash's silhouette came into view. It seems she had intentionally turned the lights off in the house so that he wouldn't see her until she was closer to the door.
He saw Dash pause right before the light from the outside could hit her. She took a deep breath and allowed herself to step into the light, revealing the outfit she was wearing. Soarin couldn't believe his eyes. He had an idea of how she would look with the dress on in his mind, but it looked nothing like how she didn't now. In fact, she looked even better!
The black dress looked like it was made especially for her. It fit perfectly around her curves and was the perfect length, stopping a few inches above her knees. She also wore the black heels he bought, increasing her height by four inches. Usually, she barely met the height of his shoulder, but now she was just a head shorter than him. He expected to see the dress and shoes, but he didn't expect all the other accessories.
Around her neck was a short, gold necklace with a small, heart-shaped pendant complemented by large, hooped earrings. Her hair was curled and in a half-up, half-down ponytail. She somehow managed to get her bangs in the ponytail so that her forehead was exposed.
Now into her face. She didn't change much apart from filling in her brows, putting on some lip gloss and perfecting her winged eyeliner. How she had the patience to do it all is beyond him.
She was absolutely stunning!
"Rainbow Dash, y-you look-"
"Is it too much? I was thinking of just taking the hoops off but-" She cuts him off with her rambling, not realizing she was actually going to receive a compliment.
"I was going to say beautiful." Soarin hushes her by placing a finger over her lips, though he regrets it because he got some of the gloss on his finger.
Rainbow Dash has never been called beautiful before; not even by her parents. People would say she's "pretty" or "hot", but never beautiful. She wasn't used to being called it, and she was experiencing a mixture of emotions. Her face turned a shade of bright red as the butterflies in her stomach flapped around. Her mouth hung open in surprise, not knowing what to say.
"T-Thank y-you," she stammers.
"You're not called that word very often, are you?" Soarin asked her. She shook her head slowly, being unable to get the words out. "Well, you deserve to be called beautiful every second of your life." She erupted into a breathy laughter as she continues shaking her head. She covers her face with her hands to hide the redness of it. "Come on, you big softie. I made a meal for us."
He grabs ahold of one of her hands and leads her to the picnic table on the far side of the backyard. He helps her get seated on one side of the table and made sure she was comfortable. He everything is perfect, and he wants it to stay that way.
"Soarin, what is all this?" Dash asks out of curiosity. It's not that she didn't want to spend time with him. She just doesn't understand why he would do all this in such little time.
"Our first date," he replies, his hand presenting the food on the table.
"When did you get the time to do all this? And how long did it take? You didn't spend too much money, did you?" Dash stood up and leaned over the table, putting her face closer to Soarin's.
"It took me about a week to prepare and another week to plan. Don't worry about how much this cost me. I didn't plan this alone," he explains. She was confused when he said it took a week for him to prepare, because just about a week ago, they had just become friends. Was he anticipating the two of them getting together? She brushed the thought to the back of her head, yet was still slightly worried about the money spent, but if Soarin said it wasn't a big deal, then it wasn't.
"Okay, fine. Let's eat."
In the middle of the table were sandwiches cut to be shaped like triangles stacked into a pyramid. There were also cheese packets, triangular strips of turkey, lettuce, and other ingredients to put in a sandwich. To the left of the sandwiches, a large bowl of fruit like strawberries, pineapple, and watermelon. On the opposite side was a glass beverage dispenser filled with lemonade. Plates were perfectly set in front of each of them with napkins folded on top and glass cups in front of the plates.
"You know, I never got the chance to compliment your outfit." A smug smile stretched across Dash's lips. "Looking sexy for me?" She grabs a sandwich off the top of the pyramid and takes a bite out of it.
"I have to look sexy for the sexiest," Soarin replies as he grabs a sandwich if his own. "I didn't expect you to glam yourself up like this, Dashie. I don't remember the last time I saw you with curly hair."
"I'm suffering from heat damage. My hair is naturally curly," she says with honesty. "I don't really like how it looks on me. But hey, if you like it, I'll stop straightening my hair."
"How can you not like it? I love it!"
"And I love you." Dash catches Soarin off guard with this sentence, causing him to choke on his food. He quickly fills his glass with lemonade and gulps it down to relieve his choking. He expected another comeback from her. "Expect the unexpected from me." She winks and pops a strawberry in her mouth.
"I love you too, baby girl," he says back between laughs. The conversation ceased as their attention was focused on the food they were eating. The birds chirping in the background reminded them of crickets during the day, indicating awkward silence. Neither of them knew what to say.
Being in a relationship is harder than I imagined, they both thought simultaneously.
"I hate awkward silences because they make me nervous, so I'm going to start a convo," Dash announces, wiping her fingers with the folded napkin. "Tell me your deepest, darkest secret."
"I have condoms in my nightstand. I use them in my fantasies I have of you," Soarin admits wholeheartedly, not ashamed of his statement in the slightest. For a minute he regret saying the sentence, but fortunately his worries were calmed from hearing the laughter from his girlfriend.
"You're a freak deep down, aren't you?"
"It's not something I'm afraid to admit." He shrugs dramatically. "Are you afraid, though? You have yet to tell me why you were moaning my name in your sleep all those days ago." Soarin smirks as Dash's face burns up. She pouts and whines like a child as she stomps her feet.
"Why would you bring that uuuuup, ugh." She buries her face in her hands as Soarin laughs at the redness of her face. "Moving on!"
"Okay, okay. In all seriousness though, after I teased you for the first time a year ago, I fantasized a lot about me and you. Not necessarily just doing intimate things, but just the two of us as a couple. I never understood why in the past, but now I do." He reaches over all the food and holds both of her hands, pulling them away from her face. "It's also the day I started crushing on you."
"Wait, really? Because me too!" Dash exclaims.
"Yes, really! I guess it makes sense because you didn't yell at me or even attempt at pushing me away when I did it." He ponders on the thought as he remembered the way she whimpered as he nibbled her ear. "You also seemed to really like it. We can always do round two of this morning after dinner." He bounces his eyebrows up and down. Dash bites her bottom lip seductively before standing up and walking over to Soarin's side of the table. Leaning into his ear, she brushes her lips against his lobe and whispers words in his ear.
"Maybe another day."
"Oh, why would you tease me like that? I really thought I was gonna get round two." He whines similar to how Dash did a couple minutes ago.
"I mean, we just started dating. I don't want things to move too fast between us," she sighs unhappily. "Plus, I'll want to shower and wash up after dinner. That'll be my cool down time so I can get ready for bed." The expression on Soarin's face screamed disappointment, yet understanding. He's not exactly pleased, but he understands her reasoning of why she wasn't ready.
"I'm sorry," Dash apologies regardless. She just felt inclined to.
"Don't worry about it, Princess," he reassures, standing up and hugging her waist with his hands. "The least you can do for me is satisfy me with a kiss."
Dash smiles as she wraps her arms around his neck, pulling his face closer to hers. They didn't waste a single moment to draw a kiss from each others' lips. Soarin wanted a kiss? Well she was going to give him one.
════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*════
One hour of small talk, teasing, and kissing later, Soarin and Dash settled down in Soarin's bedroom since they were in Dash's the night before. They had thrown off their fancy getup and taken separate, long showers. Their first date was a success, despite all the awkward silences that happened during it. They took most of that silent time to stare each other down, so it wasn't as awkward as it should have been.
The couple lay together in Soarin's bed and spent the rest of their night watching more television--even though they were more focused on each other than what was occurring in the show they were watching. It's as if they only had the TV on as background noise to accompany their conversation. Of course, it was nothing but small talk because neither of them are very good at starting conversations.
More time passed, and Dash's eyelids grew heavier and heavier. She falls asleep easier and faster than Soarin, so when her body says it's time so sleep, she obeys. She covers her mouth and releases several yawns of exhaustion. Soarin lays her down and tucks her into the covers to keep her warm. He lays himself down beside her and plants a "goodnight" kiss on her lips.
"Goodnight, baby girl. I love you." He kisses her one last time before pulling her closer to him.
"I love you too, Soar."
