Tom's P.O.V

My eyes widened upon hearing the accented voice over my phone.

"Who's this?" I ask, heart beating painfully fast and my head filled with confusing thoughts.

"Let's meet up. Time square by the fountain. 10 pm sharp. I'll be waiting."

The person then hung up. I just stood there... Frozen.

I know that voice somewhere... It's too familiar that it hurts.

Could it be?

"Boss?"

I turned around and saw Zion running towards me. He stopped in front of me and then he cupped my cheeks.

"Are you hurt? Why did you get out without telling me? What if something happened to you?" Zion asked as he started searching for injuries or anything suspicious all around me.

"I just got a call and since the music was way too loud. Jon told me to answer the call outside." I explained before I was pulled into a hug.

"I was very worried."

I giggled, "You're such a drama queen." I commented as I pushed him away gently,

"Come on, I am being serious about this Boss." He said as he fixed his glasses. I just stared at him. He looked really handsome... More so as usual.. And the mole on his right cheek that is near his eye makes him look cuter.

"anyway..." he grabbed my hand gently and started pulling me back to the stadium, "Tell me if you'll get out again. I got worried you know?"

"But you were busy with the director and the stylists..."

"I already told you. I'd cancel my show for you." he said as he looked at me and smile. Butterflies fill in my stomach and heat came rushing up to my cheeks. I lowered my head as I mumbled,

"You don't have to..."

"I want to." he finished as we entered the dressing room. This is so different from all the relationships that I have been in before.

It's hard for me to adjust to this kind of affection since...

"again, stay within the stadium. You are not to go anywhere without telling me. I have to know about your whereabouts. Okay?" he said, cupping my cheeks and kissing my forehead.

"Alright, but I'll get going to my part time job soon. Then I'll be going to my work. I'll just let you know when I get home."

"Alright. Just be sure to call or text me.. Maybe you'll get drunk again."

"I'll be working, Busy Bee."

"You said that last time." He retorted as he stared at me.

'should I tell him about the call?'

"okay okay..." I replied while nodding, then he walked back into the stage. I just watched his figure disappear, thinking to myself,

'Should I go?'

I lowered my head. The voice was awfully familiar to me. It hurts. I glanced at the clock that was on the wall.

3 pm

'10 pm sharp. I'll be waiting.'

~~~~~~~~~~~Home for the Aged~~~~~~~~~
"Oh and before I go. Here are your extra blankets to prevent you guys from getting cold at night." I said as I handed each old lady a blanket.
"aww thank you so much young man."
"Thank you so much."
"We need more people like you.'
They said to me and I just gave them a smile. I started packing my stuff.
Then my mind was taken back to the time where I answered the call. Could it really be him?
No. He's long gone.
There's no way he'd be able to get my new number since I threw my old sim card away...
"You look awfully troubled dear. Is something the matter?" I jolted up as I turned behind me.
I sighed in relief, "It's just you... Auntie Rosy."
Auntie Rosy is like Zion. She loves helping no matter her age. We have a Auntie/Nephew kind of relationship which is why we've already been closer.
She had her white hair tied into a small bun, she was wearing a Blue polka-dotted dress with black close shoes. I gave her a smile then went back to packing my stuff.
"No, I am fine."
"Dear, I may be old and almost blind but I know how you are feeling just by your voice."
I shut my mouth, I never thought I'd be found out just by my voice. Am I really that bothered by that stupid voice over the phone earlier?
"Oh, that's a nice ring. Are you getting married?" She asked, I glanced down on the ring that sat on my finger.
I smile subconsciously, "Yeah. I am." I replied.
"Must feel nice to be young again, huh? I couldn't even remember the day when my husband proposed to me. Such beautiful memories are already fading so fast." She says in a very endearing and sweet voice that it made me smile.
"your Husband, huh? Where is he now Auntie?" I asked, still arranging my stuff in my bag.
"He's everywhere now."
I turn to her and she was smiling at me. I really can't tell what is she feeling...
Auntie Rosy was always so sweet to everyone here. For a woman her age, I would say that she lived a happy life.
I zipped my bag close and turin to her again.
"I can assure you Auntie.. I am fine. I should really get going."
"Alright dear, be careful." She say as she pecks my cheek. I smile, "Of course."
"and remember. If you're ever feeling blue. Don't hesitate to talk to me." She said as she held my hands.
I nodded in response,
"Such a unique man but with a sad heart."
My eyes widened, "Well you best be going now." she said, letting go of my hands and waving goodbye at me.
"A-alright..." I mumbled, before making my way out of the place. What does she mean by that?...
~~~~~~~~~~Bar~~~~~~~~~~~

The music was slow and everyone was dancing with their partners. I glance at them from time to time as I was wiping the wineglass clean with a white cloth.

I was spacing out.

My thoughts are still clouded by the thought of the voice... It never left my head. It's annoying.

"Yo, Tim. Is something bothering you?"

I glanced at Matt who was sitting by the far left of the counter. He looked really worried.

"Hey there, Father Killer. You got a break?" I smirked, earning a defensive gasp from him.

"You know I was just a kid back then. And Yes. It's my break now." he retorted making me chuckle,

"yeah yeah sure." I said then went back into spacing out.

"Tim--"

"Tom."

"Tim--"

"Goddammit"

"You've been spacing out since earlier. Did something happen between you and Zion?"

I looked at him, eyebrows frowned, "What?"

"Well..." he leaned a bit closer, "You've been  looking at your ring while spacing out. So I was wondering if you two fought. Though it's rare if you two did." he replied.

Was I really?...

"Are you by any chance... Regretting that you said Yes?"

"NO!" I replied almost immediately almost making Matt fall from his chair. I put the glass down and went over to him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to--"

"What are ya losers up to?" Eduardo asked, popping out of nowhere.

"Tim was acting weird since earlier so I seeked the answer." Matt told him as Eduardo sat on the stool next to Matt.

"Hey there, Loser." he greeted me,

"Yo, Loser." I replied back as I smiled.

"so uh.. What happened? Matt said you were acting weird? Although you always do." he mumbled the last part making me chuckle.

"I was only spacing out." I replied,

"You were thinking of something that DEEEEPPP!!" Matt narrowed his eyes on me suspiciously.

"Did something happen earlier? You and Turtle boi fight?" Eduardo asked,

"Can you stop addressing him as 'Turtle boi'?"

"He wears turtle necks almost all the time so No." he retorted, I just sighed in defeat. Yep, Friends in deed.

"but anyway. What happened?" Eduardo asked, Matt also listened in as well.

"Well... Earlier... I got a-- well.. What would you guys do if a person you possibly don't know calls you and tells you to meet them up? Without any reason... Will you go?" I asked,

Why can't I just tell them the truth? I'm not trying to hide anything...

"Hell no." Eduardo replied, crossing his arms.

"No. It might be a kidnapper. And I'm still too pretty to be kidnapped." Matt said, flipping his hair dramatically.

"I doubted anyone would kidnap you." Eduardo mumbled a little loud enough for Matt and I to hear.

"Hey!" Matt yelled. Eduardo and I laughed while Matt was pouting.

'I guess I won't be going to meet up with the person.'

We were interrupted by a staff,

"Thomas, the boss said you can take your leave. He said you'll be getting your salary tomorrow. Since it's already getting late he wants you to go before your fiance will bust in the bar again." the staff said to me before walking away.

I reached into my pocket and took out my phone then I turned it on.

10:08 pm

5 missed calls from Busy Bee 🐝

"SHIT! I FORGOT TO CALL HIM! IT'S ALREADY LATE AS WELL!" I cursed as I started to gather my things up to change.

"I'm sorry guys, I have to get going home. Zion will be furious if he finds out that I went home late. You guys should too, It's already 10."

"Nah, I'll be on night to dawn duty." Eduardo said,

"Yep! Same with me! Be careful Tim!" Matt squealed as he waved at me. I waved back at them before I dashed inside the dressing room to change back to my casual clothes. Then I went out by the back door.

The streets were already almost empty and the cars are already countable. I looked up to the sky. Admiring the darkness and the twinkly stars.

"Guess I'll take a Cab home." I said to myself and then started walking to the closest light post when miraculously, a Cab stopped in front of me.

Might as well just get in so I can get home early.

I went and took a seat on the backseat as I say the location to the driver. I then reached for my phone and texted Zion that I forgot to text him earlier because I was busy and that he had nothing to worry about.

Not even a minute later he texted me back, saying that he was about to go to my work place and that he wants me to go home as soon as possible. He then bid goodnight and I love you.

I smiled reading his text over and over again. What exactly did I do to get a man like him to fall for me?

Realizing that I may have looked like an idiot while smiling at my phone.

I looked up to the driver, he was awfully quiet. I mean... Not that I want him to talk. It's just that some drivers actually try to have a conversation with their costumers.

I shrugged and just looked out the window when I noticed that this was the road to Time Square.

"Um, excuse me sir. I believe I already told you that I'm going to Palm Drive Ext. Street? I did not say Time Square..." I told the driver.

Maybe it's his first time?

"Oh I heard you, Sir." the driver spoke,

My eyes widened, heart beating fast... That voice. He then stopped the cab.

"I'm not deaf, Thomas." he said as he turned to me. He had a smirk plastered on his face.

"T-tord.."
