Nikhil woke up and saw avantika wasn't there. He then heard the sound of shower and realized that avantika was in washroom.

He yawned and rubbed his eyes. Then stretched a bit and looked at the wall clock. It was 8:43 am.

Today we have the presentation, this thought hit his mind and he got up from the bed with a jerk.

He took out his clothes and rushed to the washroom door.

"Avantika can you come out a little early today??", he asked.

"Coming in a minute", she replied.

After sometime, she came out. She was wearing a green dress and she had a towel in her hands with which she was drying up her hairs.

"Thank God you didn't take an hour to bath today", nikhil and hurried into the washroom.

"Excuse me!! I always get ready on time. You are the one who delays", she said holding the door knob and not letting nikhil to close the door.

"Leave the knob avantika", he said.

"How rude!!! Say please then I will leave", she replied.

"Okay fine. Please spare the door knob. I don't want to get late today", he said pulling the door shut.

Avantika giggled a little at his antics and went towards the dressing.

They both reached for the presentation on time.

"Hush!! We reached on time", nikhil sighed, opening his laptop in front of all the members of the meeting.

All the members who ready to raise funds for this project were sitting there and waiting for nikhil to start.

Avantika was standing beside nikhil while he was searching for their designs on his laptop.

"Avantika!!", he whispered.

"What's the problem??", she whispered back.

"The designs are not present in my laptop", he said in a low voice.

Avantika stepped closer to him and turned the laptop to her side.

"What?? But yesterday, I transferred them into it and you were there with me", avantika said examining the files of Nikhil's pc.

All the members were patiently waiting for them.

"Do you have them in yours??", nikhil asked.

"Yeah", she said.

She opened her laptop as fast as she could.

She started typing the keywords on the search.

"Kolkata project".....*no result*

"Designs for the new project".....*no result*

"Presentation 5 August"......*no result*

"Mr. and Mrs. Malik, how much time will you take to start the meeting", one of the members said losing his cool.

"Just a minute Mr. Bhalla", avantika said, trying to cool them.

Nikhil just panicked. He was sweating so much due to stress and nervousness.

Avantika noticed this and she put her hand on his. She gave him a nod, blinking her eyes.

"Excuse me guys!!", she said and walked towards shivan.

She asked him to search the designs in his laptop but no result.

Nikhil thought that he lost it. It was one of the most important projects of the Malik company and he couldn't even manage it for one day.

Shame on you! ,nikhil thought to himself.

Avantika asked about the designs to rohit but he also didn't have them.

Fuck!! I am useless...Dad, chachu and madhav papa..trusted me and I broke their trust. It would have been better if abir bhaiya was the CEO, nikhil thought, blaming himself for this.

Nikhil lowered his head and lost hope.

"Ladies and gentlemen. Sorry for the delay.", avantika said on the microphone.

Nikhil looked up at her.

"We present before you the designs for the First project of Malik's and Sharma's merger company", she announced, showing the designs on the screen.

Nikhil was overwhelmed by it and he joined avantika in the presentation.

Break time

Nikhil hugged avantika because she handled the situation so calmly.

"Thanks avantika. It wasn't possible without you ", he said breaking the hug.

"It was my duty nikhil", she said.

"How did you do this??", he asked.

"I transferred these designs in my pendrive too. I just wanted to keep it safe and secure so I thought it would be better to save them as a backup", she answered.

"My smart wifey", he appreciated.

"Thank you hubby", she answered.

"But Who ever has done this, I will not spare him or her", nikhil muttered.

Avantika's eyebrows wrinkled as she was going to say something that might hurt Nikhil's feelings.

"Nikhil....I wanted to say something", she said.

"Say na", he replied

"First, promise me that you will not shout at me", she said like a child

"Okay. I promise", he replied holding her hand.

"I think shivam did this", she said in  go.

"And why do you think this??", he asked, sounding a bit uneased.

"Nikhil, please don't misunderstand me. It's just an intuition. Because while we were searching for the designs, he was the one who wasn't helping at all", she uttered.

Nikhil left her hand and said, "Avantika please!! Shivam is like my brother and I can't listen anything against him. It's your misunderstanding".

Nikhil said and went away. Avantika didn't stop because she knew that he wouldn't believe her until she gathers a solid proof against shivam.

It was the time for the second session of the meeting. Nikhil and his team reached 15 minutes before except avantika.

Is she hurt?? I didn't say much to her. I think she thought I was rude to her, nikhil thought.

Nikhil asked his team to excuse himself and he went to find avantika.

He searched in the hall, in the canteen, but she wasn't there.

Then he went to her room and he saw her, sitting on her chair and her face buried in her hands.

"Avantika, are you crying??", he asked moving closer to her and wrapped his arms around her

"Ohh nikhil.. no I am fine", she said.

"You are fine?? Don't hide anything from me. If you are feeling bad about what I said them I am really sorry", he said holding his ears.

"No there's nothing like that", she said getting up.

"Then", he asked.

"Actually...", she said hesitatingly.

"Tell", he insisted.

"I am on my periods and I forgot to bring sanitary pads", she said looking down.

"Why don't you note your dates down??", nikhil scolded.

"I just forgot", she said.

"Wait here", he said.

He went out and avantika cursed herself for that situation.

After a few minutes, nikhil came inside with a polythene in his hands which had four packets of sanitary pads in it.

He gave it to her.

"Anything else you need??", he asked.

"No", she said gleaming up with joy and embraced nikhil in a hug.

"Thank you so much nikhil", she exclaimed.

"It's my duty avantika", he said it in the same tone as avantika said some time ago.

"From where did you get these??", she asked.

"There's a medical shop nearby", he answered. "Now please change fast and come down soon. The session would start anytime"

"Okay", she replied.

She went to washroom and quickly changed. They had a good meeting after all the drama that happened before.

Bed time.

Avantika took a shower and came outside of the washroom. She saw nikhil changing channels on the television with the remote

"Which movie will you like to watch?? Vivah or kabir singh", he asked.

"Umm", she thought for a while.

"I guess kabir singh will be more romantic to watch", he said as he changed the channel.

"Who said?? Romance isn't always sex. Actually it is the true feeling which two hearts have for each other. Like prem chose poonam over the tragedy which happened with her in vivah movie. Love isn't kissing and hugging each other. It is actually what is seen in eyes like prem and poonam", avantika told as he took the remote from nikhil and changed the channel.

"That's true. I didn't know that you are a love guru too", he smirked.

"I have already told you Mr. Malik, that you don't know anything about me", she said slightly hitting his forehead.

"But now I am trying to know you with my whole heart", nikhil said holding her wrist.

Avantika's gaze lowered and her cheeks turned crimson red.

"Come let's watch vivah", he said.

Avantika slid under the blanket beside nikhil. He wrapped his arms around her to make her feel comfortable. He knew that she was going through period pain and to make her feel a little better, he embraced her.

After watching the movie, they both slept in each other's arms.
