Chapter 1:
Lucy's POV (Flashback)
"Master-"
"I told you to stop calling me that, Lucy." Master Ur interrupted me.
"Fine." I huffed, "Ur, I would like to finish my training as soon as possible."
"Why?" She asked calmly.
"Because I want to see other mages. I want to be a part of an entire family. Ever since I started training I've been here, with you. I haven't seen other humans since you found me. And your not here half the time." I explained.
"You know why, though. The boys don't." She told me.
"Can I at least see them again? I've only seen them once! From a distance! Can you explain me to them? Why can't I just see them?!" I started to get angry.
She sighed. "They're boys, you'd distract them and they would have an even harder time training. You know the beginning is the hardest part. Lyon is doing okay, but Gray is still adjusting."
"Is that the only reason?! That's all?! I've spent years stuck in the ice!" I said.
"I-I don't want you to go... you're like a daughter to me..." Ur explained.
I gaped at her. She never told me that. Ever. "I-I just want to be somewhere else other then here, with you." I said timidly.
"Here is all we need." Ur smiled.
"You're right, Ur." I smiled back.
She was right; all I needed was her.
-a few weeks later-
I heard a knock at Master's (and my) cabin door. I smiled. Maybe it was her. I ran to the door as opened it.
"Ur-"
"Ur's dead... she died fighting the demon Deliora. She saved my family and me. Be proud she trained you." Is all the hooded figure said, then walked away.
"But, Ur wouldn't die. Not without seeing me first. She, she would come and say goodbye." A tear ran down my cheek.
The person had left and I was alone, in our- my -home. I stood, facing the old wooden door, for what felt like an eternity.
"So, you're really gone?" I asked no one in particular before collapsing on the ground.
(Flashback end)
"Last stop: Hargeon. Last stop: Hargeon." The conductor announced, waking me up.
I yawned and grabbed my luggage. I stumbled out of the train and into a person. "Sorry." I mumbled in apology and quickly walked away.
I still hadn't gotten used to people. None of them were like Master. None. I sighed at the sad thought and continued to a restaurant. I quickly order some food and sat down.
A few tables away I noticed someone particularly strange. Strange because he began to strip off his clothing without batting an eyelash and the fact that he looked very familiar. I cleared my throat, like Ur used to for me, and he seemed to get the hint.
"Shit! My clothes!" He yelled, as if he was surprised. The owner kicked him out, and I giggled until, "Excuse me, miss, your shirt." A waitress told me. I looked down and my shirt was gone.
"Shit!" I cursed and put my shirt back on and left a tip. I ran out of the restaurant, flushed and embarrassed.
"I thought I was over that." I sighed to myself.
I decided to go shopping. I didn't do it much and I was getting sick of my white and blue outfit. I quickly walked to a clothing store and picked out black skinny jeans, combat boots, and a white button down shirt. Something that would be harder to get into the habit of stripping off. If that sounds right...
I pushed my, loose, blonde hair out of my face and continued walking around town. I heard squeals and shouts about a man named 'Salamander'. He sounds like a lizard... I thought. Curious, I went to see what the fuss was about.
I walked for a few minutes and I saw a group of girls enclosing the man they called 'Salamander'. I walked to see what exactly they were squealing about and immediately felt entranced. My heart raced and my pulse pounded. I felt hearts form in my eyes until I realized what the guy was doing.
"A charm...?" I mumbled and walked away.
"What a pig!" I yelled when I was far enough away from his fangirls. I wasn't watching where I was going and bumped into someone, again.
I fell on the ground and looked up to see the person. He was the stripper from the restaurant. He had raven colored hair and really dark, blue eyes. He had a bracelet and a matching necklace and chain. He had baggy, black pants, black shoes and a plain shirt on. His hand was out, waiting for me to grab it.
"Stripper!" I squeaked on accident. People looked at us and walked away quickly.
"It's a habit!" He yelled back.
I laughed and said. "I know the feeling." I took his still outstretched hand and waved goodbye to him.
There was no use to getting attached to anything that would only meet it's end sooner or later. I walked to a bench and picked up a magazine that was left on it. The cover said 'Sorcerer's Weekly'.
It seemed interesting so I began to read it. There was a really pretty white haired girl who was featured in a photo shoot and an article on the Salamander guy. They left out the fact that he was a playboy pig.
I sighed and later down on the bench. "Don't tell anyone." Someone from the bushes said.
I fell off the bench and saw Salamnder. "Why shouldn't I?" I asked boldly.
"Have you heard of the guild Fairy Tail? The one who's said to house the famous 'Salamder'?" He questioned.
I nodded and he pointed at himself, "That's me. And if you keep the whole charm thing a secret I might be able to get you into my guild."
"As if I'd want to join a guild where a pig such as yourself dwells." I huffed and started to walk away. "I get it, I'm too charming for you, but I'll leave you alone if you come to the party on my yacht tonight." He said.
"Maybe." I answered and he made a grand exit and left.
I sighed, "Guess I'll have to go..."
-on the boat-
"Why don't you just relax?" Salamander said in a supposed-to-be seductive tone. He reminded me of a cow.
I gritted my teeth and closed my eyes. He was sitting across from me- thank god -and being pervy. I sighed and started to feel sleepy.
"Another charm?!" I asked angrily.
"Hmph. You're too smart for your own good. Might as well stop this act." He said and snapped his fingers.
When he did men carrying women showed themselves. I knew immediately what was going on. "Sailing to different waters and selling women who were charmed by magic? You make me sick. Magic is meant to bring people together." I said through my anger.
Salamander laughed maliciously. "You can't do anything now. We have you." He smirked. My eyes widened as two of his most muscular men grabbed my arms.
"Bora, don't we have to brand her?" One of his henchman said evilly.
"Bora? So, you're not Salamander?" I questioned Salamander, or Bora.
"I told you not to call me that!" He yelled at the men holding me back, "But yes we do. Where would you like it?" He asked me.
"Like I'd let you." I spat. Just then the boat stopped.
"What's that?! Go see!" Bora yelled at a random person. The person shivered and obeyed.
I laughed an Bora gave me a bewildered look. "What are you laughing about, Blondie?"
"Nothing." I said and kicked both the people holding me back at the same time.
Not a second after that the stripping guy came bursting through the ceiling. I couldn't help but giggle a little as he tried to look cool and calm. "Hey! I came here to rescue you not entertain you!" He yelled angrily as I started to laugh harder.
Bora cleared his throat and we both yelled what at the same time. "I'm still here." He said with a tic mark on his head.
"I almost forgot." I taunted.
He started to shoot fireballs at the stripper and me. We both dodged them by jumping overboard, off the ship. I had an idea right before I hit the water I froze a portion of it that was around me.
I smirked as stripper face planted onto the ice I had just made. Bora then started barking orders to his henchman and we gave each other a look that said run, so we did.
Concentrating my magic energy on my feet, I froze more water as we ran. He seemed to have the same magic and idea and started use the same strategy.
After a few minutes we got to the port and Bora came after us. I got my whip out and stripper started getting into the IceMake stance.
"Hmp. Think you can beat me? Fire melts ice." Bora said cockily.
I just smirked and stripper shouted, "IceMake: Lance!" and the attack sent Bora flying into a nearby bell tower. After a few moments, his partners fled the scene and the army started chasing us.
"Shit! We gotta run!" Stripper yelled and grabbed my hand.
"I don't even know you're name! Why would I go with you?!" I yelled back as I struggled in his grip.
"Name's Gray and I just saved you!" He said.
"G-Gray?" I gaped.
"No time to be shocked they're coming!" He shouted as the army started chasing after us.
"Where are we going?!" I asked.
"My guild." He answered with a smile as we ran together to god knows where.
