I'm an idiot. Why? Well....

___ a while back___

We continued running until we found Temari. We told her all about Kankro and made our way to the village.

Kakashi blah blah, white fang yabba yabba... Sakura healed Kankuro.. yippy yay, and while we searched for Gaara and Naruto addmitted of being the nine tails, I was thinking about how this was bad. I'll see Deidara-kun and Sasori! They'll Rat me out. Bah! Then, Kakashi decided he had to ask if I was alright, so I decided I shall tell them. That's why I'm an idiot.

________-present time__________

"I've got to talk to you guys," I said seriously.

"What's it?" Naruto said not really paying attention.

"So.. the is a reason I'm now on the bingo book as an S-ranked ninja... and I think it's time I tell you... BUT you HAVE to listen until I'm done!" I said already feeling the nerves.

"What do you mean?" Sakura said confused. 

They all stopped walking and turned to me confused, making me gulp.

"Please, think about it. I needed a sensei to be this strong. Point is... I found the people and yeah... not the greatest people of all---"

"Who?" Kakashi asked, his visible ee narrowing.

"I'm getting there you idiot! Don't fucking interrupt me or-" Kakashi glared so I shut up. I tend to do that when nervous. "Anyway... Yeah"

My eyes went to Kakashi... I know he will be upset, but I can't tell them it's a mission. The Hokage wanted it to be as low profile as it could. I'll have to deal with him hating me for now.

"I've been training with a not so great organization. Everything was planned... That's why I missed the Third's funeral, and that's why I couldn't tell you when I left. Thankfully, my plans went accordingly and I was accepted as a student." I said preparing myself. "I do wish to clarify, for what it's worth, that although I trained by them, and I killed people on orders... I never became a part of their organization, and I never killed anyone innocent."

"You don't mean-"

"I do, Naruto. I trained with the Akatsuki." I said closing my eyes. I can't see their faces, oh guys I wish I could tell you my mission but it would change the Hokage's wish.

"YOU WHAT?" They all yelled, except granny of course.

"How did they let you leave?" Kakashi asked trying not to shout.

"They didn't." I addmited, looking at Kakashi in the eye only for him to turn away. Kakashi... "I found out they waned me to join, and escaped. If they see me now, they'll take me back, or they'll kill me."

"Go back to Konoha" Kakashi said coldly.

"No," I said taken aback. "You need me when fighting Akatsuki. I'e trained with them and I can distract them enough for this mission to be completed. We just need temawork to pefection-"

"How can there be perfect teamwork when I don't feel like you're part of my team anymore!?" Kakashi snapped, making me take a step backwards wide-eyed. 

"Akira?" I heard a cold voice say.

"Oh shit," I said as I spotted Itachi. Totally forgot about him.

"So you went back to the leaf. I'm not surprised," he said in a cold voice.

"Itachi-sensei," I said seriously, not missing Kakashi's glare. "We meet again."

"We have orders to bring you back," Itachi stated. "You're lucky Leader-sama is interested in your heritage."

"I'm sorry Itachi-sensei," I said as I took out my two katanas and closed my eyes activatng my animal hearng and smell, knowing he might use his Sharingan. "But I cannot go back with you."

"Stay behind!" Kakashi yelled pushing me away.

"Don't be reckless, Kakashi! I've fought him before, I know all his movements, and I-"

"Shut up." Kakashi said harshly, and I flinched. I think he didn't apreciate me calling Itachi sensei.

After a little fight, we continued our way. "Naruto, take her with you."

I pouted as Naruto threw me oer his shoulder and started running.

"I can walk you know?" I said and he simply dropped me to the ground. Of course, my cat-like reflexes took in and I landed safely, following them.

"You really don't get it." I stated. I feel so guilty but this is the only way Naruto and Sakura will forgive me. Kakashi I'll deal with later. I'm using my last resourse: I let tears in my eyes. "I just wanted to be strong enought to be able to bring Sasuke back... Did I really have a choice?"

I saw Sakura starting to break, but Naruto glared at me, making me flinch as well.

"You didn't have to train with criminals! Now I know it's all my fault, because I wasn't able to bring Saskue back!"

"N-Naruto!" I said surprised. "It's not your fault! Don't say that!"

"But it is!" He said back.

"Akira," Kakashi said before I could talk. "Let's leave this conversation for later."

Sakura came over and hugged me, but Naruto just sighed and looked away. 

I went to stand by Kakashi, and he didn't even turn my way.

"Are you mad Kakashi?" I asked.

"What, am I not your sensei anymore?" He said as he glared, still not turning my way.

"I always considered you my-" I started, but stopped myself. "N-nothing, don't mind me."

Kakashi turned to me, but didn't say anything.

"Let's stop here for today," I said, since it was now dark. My eyes weer wellled up with tears as I set up everything to sleep.

"So... what are the Akatsuki like?" Naruto asked, surprising me a lot.

I sighed. "They're human Naruto," I said seriously. "Yes, they've killed thousands, they are ruthless, they are criminals... but in the end, they are human. They all have a past. I won't judge them... Maybe it wasn't the best, to train with them... But I don't regret it. I actually made friends there, and I actually had some days when I felt at home with those guys. So I'm sorry for not telling you, but I'm not sorry for going."

"Akira..." Sakura said surprised. "Can you... Can you tell us about your time there? The times you felt at home?"

I was shocked. They were trying to understand... This is why I love this guys so much. I smiled, which caused Sakura to sigh in relief since the aura was no more tense.

 "Let's see... Well, I mostly spent my time with Deidara..."

"Who's he?" Naruto asked curisouly. Kakashi was just looking anywere but at me.

"He was my best friend over there," I said fondly. "He was the only one I told I was going to escape, and he had offered to help. Of course, I denied his offer since Leader-sama would kill him."

Kakashi's eyes narrowed when I mentioned Pein, making me turn back to Sakura guiltily.

"We were always fooling around the hideout," I continued. "I guess he's  the one I spent most time with. He has mouths in his hands... They help him with his favourite attack."

"Ew," Sakura muttered disgusted, making me lighly chuckle.

"I honestly thought them interesting!" I said smiling since Naruto stuck out his tongue in disgust. I mean, you could be kissing someone, while your hands are giving hickeys, or-"

"Okay moving on," Sakura said disturved. "Since when are you this... erm..."

"Perverted?" I said grining sheepishly. "My new perverted side and colorful language came from another member, Hidan." I smiled thinking of him. "He was always cursing around, and making inapropriete comments. He was snappy, but fun nontheless. I guss we also hung out, but not as much. His partner and I never really connected and I didn't go on mamy missions with him, but while in the hideout we did have some moments."

"Sounds pretty normal," Naruto said shrugging.

"He's a masochist, he likes to feel pain, and he makes human sacrifices," I deadpanned making them freak out.

"Okay, we don't like him," Naruto understood. "Next."

"Well, I skipped Deidara's parten, Sasori," I said, shooting Granny a sideways glance. "He's a pupperteer. We didn't talk much, honestly, but I was always impressed with his puppet skills. He and Deidara would have this fights about art, they were quite the pair."

I felt my eyes watering up from the emotions coming together. Kakashi hating me at the moment, the guilt of having to lie to them, the gratitude towards Naruto and Sakura for trying to understand... And well, missing my time at the Akatsuki.

I didn0t wait for them to say anything as I continued, my voice wavering.

"There's alos Kisame. He's partly fish. He used to like getting me all riled up. He trained me a lot in the hideout, and he never went easy... I had some times I did almost died in training wih him. He was one of the seven swordsmen, like Zabuza, and helped me with my katanas a lot. But, he had this childish side to him. We once played truth or dare, my idea f course. His dare was so embarassing."

Tears left my eyes as I laughed, and Sakura and Naruto stared at me sadly.

"Wht de he dare you to do?" Naruto asked quietly, shooting me a small smile.

I blushed a little, making him stare confused.

"Akira?" He asked again.

"You know," I said drying my tears. "Maybe we should continue this some other time..."

"Oh no, what did he dare you to do?" Sakura asked urgently, the curiosity for my blush evident, 

"HemademekissItachi!" I whispered closing my eyes.

"What?" I heard Kakashi exclaim, making me open my eyes to see him staring at me unbelieving.

"What did she say?" Naruto said lost.

"You didn''t do it did you? Please tell me you didn't!" Sakura said trying to contain herself.

"I was with a bunch of criminals playing truth or dare," I said sighing. "You can't deny a dare."

"You kissed a criminal," Sakura said wide-eyed. "Was it at least good?"

I turned to Sakura to see her covering her mouth in shame, causing me to laugh. 

"Who?" Naruto asked confused.

"Itachi," I said sighing, causing Naruto to start coughing. "Maybe it's time to sleep, ne?"

"You're right," Sakura said sighing. "Good night."

I stayed up, looking at the stars. I sighed as I couldn't sleep. Maybe I should take a wallk...

I stood up and took my katanas, in case I ran into enemy ninja. I turned around to walk when I felt a kunai tot my neck.

"Where do you think you're going?" Kakashi muttered making me gasp.

"What are you doing?" I hissed, trying not to wake anyone. "K-Kakashi why are you holding a kunai against my neck?"

"You took your katanas," He ignored my question. "Were you going to go back to them?"

I could hear the raw anger in his voice, and the kunai was presse harder, making me gasp.

"You think that low of me," I said now a bit angry. "You really think I'd fo that to you!"

"You seem to care for them," He said coldly. "How can I trust you when you care for the criminals we're up against?"

That did it. 

"I get it you're angry," I said coldly. "But I never thought you'd be stupid enough to believe I'd betray my friends. Get over it, Kakashi. Yes, I care for them. I'e lived with them for the past two years and I care for them! But I'd die for my team. I'd go against them anyday to protect Konoha and it's ninjas. You can call me anything, but not a traitor."

"Were were you going then?" He asked angrily. 

"I was taking a walk!" I said unbelieving. "I couldn't sleep!"

"Am I supposed to believe you?" He asked coldly.

"Yes! You're supposed to believe me!" I said really pissed. "You know me Kakashi! Now get this damned kunai off of my neck."

The kunai was removed, and I instantly turned to face him.

"I don't know you," he muttered, not meeting my eye. "Not anymore."

The words hit me like bricks.

"You're exagerating everything!" I said letting him get to me. "I just trained with them, why are you making such a big deal!"

I could feel myself tearing up. Please Kakashi!

"Leave it," he said as he went to turn around.

"No," I said glaring at him. "You're taking this personal! Why? Is it because I care for them? Do you feel replaced Kakashi? Are you mad I call them senseis?"

Kakashi snapped at my sarcastic tone and threw the kunai angrily. My eyes widened as my nstict kicked in and I stoped the kunai inches from hitting my head. He could've killed me... I was so surpriced it was a miracle I stopped it.

"Akira I-"

"Goodnight, Kakashi," I said removing my katanas and throwing them by my sleeping bag, and walking away to the woods.

He doesn't trust me anymore... He actually tried to hurt me. Oh Hokage, what am I supposed to do?

I came back a few hours after, knowing they'd be waking up soon. I dried the tears that still fell from my eyes and got in my sleeping bag. I knew Kakashi was still awake, waiting for me, but I ignored this and fell to a dreamless sleep.
