"Who's there?" Sasuke asked.

"Caught me red-handed..." Sai said. "Still I've already aquired the upper hand here."

"What is it you want?" Sasuke said, pulling me closer to him. He knew all-too-well what he was here for apparently.

"I intend to..." Sai hesitated. "take you back to Konoha!"

I tried not to giggle at his supper cute voice as he said that. Sai's too cutee!

"Although I originaly came here in order to kill you," he admitted.

I was about to talk when Sasuke covered my mouth, making me glare at nothing. Stupid duckbutt.

"I want to see if I can protect the bonds between you and him," Sai said, referring to Naruto and Sasuke. I smiled a little. 

"Bonds?" Sasuke replied in a cold voice, making me roll my eyes. Is he deaf? "You woke me up to talk about bonds?"

Sasuke suddenly stood up, pushed me behind him and produced a strong chidori.

"You live up to your reputation," Sai admitted not noticing me.

Sakura suddenly grabbed Sai by the neck.

"You! What the hell are you after? How many times do you plan to stab us in the back?" she asked angrily.

"Ah," Sasuke said emotionless. "Is it Sakura?"

"Sasuke-kun," she gasped surprised.

I took that chance to try and step away from Sasuke and go to my team. Yes try, because Sasuke held me back.

"Let me go Sasuke!" I warned as my team watched me confused.

"What are you doing?" Sasuke asked glaring.

"I don't belong here. You can't just expect me to want to stay here to. You don't belong here either. Just come back."

"You're staying-" he started calmly, but I interrupted, shoving his hands away.

"You made your decition! I have a right to do mine!" I shouted jumping to my team.

Sasuke's eyes widened as I felt tears leave my eyes. Idiot! He made me cry!

"Sasuke!" Naruto shouted hugging me to him protectivly.

"Naruto," Sasuke said with an edge. "So you came too... Does that means Kakashi is here as well?"

"Unfortunatly, Kakshi-san couldn't be here, but I'm here instead. We team Kakashiare going to be taking you back to Konoha."

"Team Kakashi huh?" Sasuke asked coldly.

Sai took out a katane, making Sakura growl.

"Sai! I knew it!" She said angrily, making Naruto tense, me still in his arms.

"So you're my replacement?" Sasuke said looking at Sai. "He was spouting some non-sense about protecting bonds between Naruto and me... one more pansy for the group. Quite the fit I'm sure."

"What?" Sakura asked confused.

"It's true," Sai said. "My top secret mission was to kill Sasuke... But those orders don't matter anymore. Now I want to think and act for myself... because of Naruto-kun I feel like I might be able to remember somehing... remember how I used to feel... Something I know was very important to me... I may not kknow you all that well, but there's a reason Naruto-kun, Akira-san and Sakura-san chase after ou with so much passion. In order to prevent their bonds with you from breaking, in order to keep them intact, they're doing everything they can. I still don't understand it myself,but you, Sasuke-kun should know that."

"I did know," Sasuke said. "And that's why I severed them. I have other bonds I carry. Fraternal bonds, forget through hate. Having to many bonds causes one to lose focus, weakening their strongest wish... their greatest desire."

"If that's true..." Naruto said as I buryied myself in him, not wantig to listen to emotionless Sasuke anymore. "If that's true, then why? Why didn't you kill me back then? Is taht what you call severing bonds Sasuke?!"

"Naruto," I gasped hugging him tighter, but he paid no mind.

"The reason is simple," Sasuke said. Plase don't say it! "And it's not that I wasn't able to severe my bonds with you. I simply didn't want to give him the pleasure of seeing me attain power by sumiting to his plans."

"What do you mean?" Naruto demanded angrily.

"I don't have to tell you," Sasuke replied. "Still, one thing I can tell you, is that back then I chose to spare your life as nothing more than a whim of mine"

Suddenly, I was taken out of Naruto's grasp, and Sasuke put me behing him once again, as he stood beside naruto.

"Come to think of it..." Sasuke muttered in Naruto's ear. "Isn't becomeing a Hokage a dream of yours? If you had the time to go around looking for me, you would've been better off training... don't you think.. Naruto? and that's why this time,You're loosing your life, all at a whim of mine."

Sasuke took out a katana, making me take one step, but Naruto's voice stopped me.

"Like there's any chance someone who can't save a friend could become Hokage. Don't you think... Sasuke?" Naruto replied, making me look at him sadly.

Saskue pulled his katana completely out. I don't know what came over me. I knew what would happen... yet, my legs didn't seem to understand. I appeared at Naruto's back, stoping the katana with my hands. Stupid! Why didn't I takke Sasuke's wrist like Sai was suposed to?!

"Don't!" I shouted making Naruto and Sasuke stop just before they fought. "Please Naruto! Don't!"

"A-Akira-chan!" he said surprised as I ccryied.

"P-Please," I repeated, ignoring Sasuke. "Can we leave?"

"What are you saying!" Naruto exclaimed angrily. "We came all this way-"

"I don't want to see you fight," I said looking at the ground.

Naruto's eyes softened as he looked at me. "I'm sorry," he muttered turning to fight Sasuke once again.
