Revelations

Kakashi's POV

Was it worth it? Rin, Keira.

I tilt my wet eyes away from the grave basically the whole village it gathered aroung and up to the sky, where I hope my friends lie.

Was it worth saving me by taking your life? Was it worth retelling the story over and over again and being forced to replay her end over and over again? Only for our happiness, for our lives?

I want to be angry, spiteful. After warning her, she goes along and is selfish. I scowl and frown at the rain, hoping it could disguise my tears.

You went and did it Keira!! You went and made yourself a part of our lives, so much that we loved you, then evict yourself!! Did you think of how we might feel once you were dead, how you felt about it? No of course you didn't, you just tried to do what you thought was right.

I sighed and unclenched my fists, giving up on trying to be mad. I am sorrowed, over whelmed with emotions but the most prominent is pity.

Pity for Her, for Sasuke whose icy shell had finally started to thaw and now had just closed up tighter again, pity for Sakura who made a great friend who helped strengthen her, pity for myself who has done to much murder.

Pity for Naruto, first friend, first love, the beginning of something Greater. With her he would have been hokage fresh out of the academy, she was the yin to his yang and made him better just by being there.

Then there was Kiba.

FLASHBACK DAY BEFORE FUNERAL

Hey guys! Back so soon!" Kiba waved nonchalantly to the group approaching the gate seriously. He left Akumara asleep back at the apartment because of how early Kiba had awoken to come and greet Keira.

"So how did it go?" he smiled and peered, not seeing their morose expressions " Hello??! Hey, and where is Keira?" he frowned at them, now registering their faces.

"hey now! It couldn't have been that bad! You guys all made it here right!" he laughed nervously. He then sobered and sniffed the air as team 7's bodies grew closer.

Blood, not just any blood, but sickly sweet blood, the scent which he recognized.

"no" he mumbled and slowed down as they reached him.

"Where is Keira? Please tell me she is ok, tell me she made it back ok!!" he came and stood in front of the red eyed Sakura. She avoided his gaze and bit her lip, fighting the tears about to fall out of her eyes.

"Sasuke..." he peered at what had to be the strongest and most solenm genin in the village, and choked at the sight of him up close.

His clothes were rumpled, dark circles ringed his bloodshot eyes and he had the most depressing look on his face.

Sasuke winced and pulled Sakura near him as they both tried to keep dry eyes.

Kiba turned to ask sensei but a firm hand on his shoulder made him look at a nightmarish figure of the once joyous blond jinchuriki. Overall, he was the worst looking out of all of them, like he was tossed in a blender that was still spinning.

"She is dead, Kiba." a pause ensued after Naruto's voice rang out. Team 7 visbly fell to peices then, their weakly held in pain came out in a torrent and Sakura was surprisingly the one who held together the best, staying silent while the internal torment was visible on her face.

Kiba ripped his shoulder away and stumbled back " She isn't dead, She promised,...." There was a panoptic wince from all of them and Sakura let one tear fall and sobbed quietly.

"She promised to come back." suddenly he turned.

" What happened!?! YOU SHOULD HAVE PROTECTED HER!! I TRUSTED YOU WITH HER LIFE!!'"  He flipped on Naruto, who stood with no expression to be seen.

" She sacrificed herself for us, for our foes lives. I- She" Kakashi's voice cracked and he sighed shakily.

"Was she..." Kiba refused to cry now, hold it in. "Was she in pain? Was it quick?"

They wouldn't meet his eyes or answer him, and that was well enough answer for him. He hiccuped and painfully met Naruto's eyes.

"So she really is gone? Keira wont come back to me?" he just winced and wiped his wet eyes in response"

Kiba walked, ran, dashed. Away from her scent, her final farewell, knowing hecouldnt ever see her again.

BACK TO FUNERAL- 3RD PERSON

Everyone came, inchiraku ramen shop owners. The villagers with the bridge builder even came to pay respects, including Haku and Zabuza. She had enough flowers and offerings to cover most of her large burial site.

There were two that didn't fit in there. While others mourned they smirked, finally rewarding their cunning plan. They smiled all to knowingly, that soon the friends tears would dry and Keira - san would be theirs.

All in name of Lord and Master.

Diayuke.
